I went to this nail salon today for a mani/pedi. After the pedicure however, they sat me at the dryers and the woman working on me took someone else for a manicure instead. I’ve been to a lot of nail salons but no one has done that before. When I told them I wouldn’t wait for the 20min for someone else to get a manicure they charged me for the pedicure without an apology. That was my last visit at Jane’s nails.

This place deserves no stars. I came here for what I thought was going to be a nice experience. The place is not very clean. My pedicure was the sloppiest pedicure I had ever had to say the least. Then when i went for my gel manicure the ordeal continued. the woman that was painting my nails was not attentive she kept getting distracted and it took her 30 minutes to complete the job. by the end of the 30 minutes she began to rush as more customers came and my hands were covered in gel nail polish. the staff here especially the owner are rude, careless, and inconsiderate. i would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy. Not to mention that both crappy services costs $ 60.

Came here last Wednesday for a regular manicure. My nails are still looking great. They did a great job, very thorough. They even have punch cards where you get $ 10 off your 10th visit there.

It’s a hit or miss with the walk-ins, so it’s better to make an appointment. However, I can’t complain about the quality of the salon & staff whatsoever. The $ 45 color gel manicure-pedicure deal is well worth it, and the staff does a careful job. The place is big, though it is sometimes understaffed.

walked in mid afternoon(on a Friday) and was served right away. for $ 20 I feel like my feet got a lot of positive attention from the man who works there. cuticle trimming, major foot massage, and some kind of oil treatment for my heels. oh yeah, and the polish is pretty pretty good too. his wife did my manicure and she evened my short nails and painted them neatly. $ 10. I’m sure the mani won’t last incredibly long w the essie polish, but seems it will have at least average staying power. for every 10 visits, you get 1 free. tis a shame this place isn’t in Brooklyn.

I am pleased with this place. I’ve been going to jane’s nail for while. They try to acommodate appointments, walk-in’s so it may seem like they are handing off customers to a different person but I think they are fine. We dont go here thinking they run this place as a doctor’s office, its a simple nail salon w people that work hard. I have to say, they are all pretty respectful and nice. My manni and peddi looks fine just as an expensive one on 5th Ave in the city:)

I was in town visiting my future in-laws, and discovered(to my horror!) that my future MIL had NEVER had a mani-pedi. Since I’m not familiar with the area, I Unilocaled and found Jane’s :-) The ladies who helped us were extremely sweet, and spent a lot of time on our hands and feet. They had a pretty good selection of color, and everything seemed very clean. Plus, who can beat $ 30 for a mani pedi? My one criticism was the quality of my manicure – or maybe it was the Essie nail polish. My nails chipped in one day :-(My pedi is still going strong, but even the cheap price of $ 10 for a manicure is a waste if the polish doesn’t last. I’ll try another brand next time I’m there and see if that makes a difference!

Jane’s used to be terrific but in the past few months the ownership and staff seems to have changed and it is just plain awful. They are nasty, first of all. They’ll start hovering and pushing you if you are taking too long to pick a nail color. There was a sign up for a few months that they were looking to hire manicurists. But, the people they have hired seem as though they have never done this before and were just looking for work. No shame in that, but unfortunately, nobody has trained them in how to do a manicure. It is rushed and rough. I can get my next-door-neighbor’s 10-year-old to do a better job. There are a million places in town for the same money. This place has gone so far downhill that I can’t imagine they will stay in business much longer. CM

RUN! This place is awful and no matter how cheap the price, it’s a waste of good money. The first time I went here, the man who did my pedicure was the equivalent of giving a 5 year old a bottle of nail polish and asking them to paint your nails. As turned off as I was, my girlfriend who lives nearby insisted I give them another try. So, sadly I did. I went for a manicure and the woman kept pushing me off for other customers. She’s file a nail, and ask me to wait. She’d come back and paint a nail and switch me to another manicurist. Awful awful place.

I just recently moved to Millburn from NYC — the land of the best and cheapest nail salons. I have tried 3 salons in Millburn and was disappointed by all of them. One place even said they were doing shellac and I saw them use the shellac bottles but it had to have glue in it. It took over a month and several salons to try and get the polish off. It wasnt until I tried Janes nails today that they were able to get the remaining polish completely off. Susan worked her magic and has made my nails look better then ever. Their prices are great and they did an amazing job. They even gave a great neck shoulder massage during the last dry along with the hand cream and massage at the end. I have finally found my new nail place.
