Nurture and Nature Early Childhood Learning Center

I have never written a Unilocal review but wanted to take the initiative to pass on my thoughts. My child graduated tonight from Nurture and Nature. This is the best place I could have ever sent my son. He was excited every morning to go to school and as he enters kindergarten, he is so ready!!! My child will be attending a private school next year, and in his entrance test, the proctor told us how impressed she was with our child’s social and intellectual gifts during the interview. I cannot take any credit for this and we owe it all to the teachers at Nurture and Nature. Thanks Shannon, Erin, Liselle, Kim, and Tina!!!

All three of my kids have attended Nurture and Nature. This is such a special community — and we consider ourselves fortunate to be a part of it. Erin, Shannon and the whole staff have brought on the very best in my children — giving them a foundation for life. I recommend Nurture and Nature to anyone!

Fantastic leadership and staff. Focused, caring, warm, organized, patient, really smart — everything we would hope for for our child’s preschool and pre-​K experiences. I’m so glad we found Shannon, Erin and their great team for our daughter’s preschool.

I have worked in education for over 17 years and can’t speak highly enough about Nurture and Nature Learning Center. They have such a wonderful reputation in the community and I was excited about placing my child in their program. Based on what I had heard about their program, I entered with extremely high expectations. Since day one, they have exceeded every expectation I had as a parent and as an educator.
They take the time to really get to know each student and their individual strengths and challenges. They differentiate their instruction and create individual goals for each child. The goals they set for my child are proof that they got to know my child’s educational, social and emotional needs. My child has grown academically and is VERY well prepared for Kindergarten! The social skills they have taught my child have impressed me as well as others. When we are at a park and a child falls, my child runs over and says, «Are you ok? What can I do for you?» When faced with a challenge my child tells me, «Mom, I need to persevere. «The teachers at Nurture and Nature have given our kid these skills!
When the time comes for us to leave Nurture and Nature, we will be so sad. We know what our child receives at Nurture and Nature is rare and really special. Our child LOVES school and looks forward to going to school everyday. We will be forever grateful to the teachers at Nurture and Nature for the way they have instilled a love for learning in our child. These teachers are the most dedicated teachers and it is a wonderful feeling leaving our child with Teacher Shannon and Teacher Irene every morning. They welcome us every morning with a huge smile and you can really tell they love what they do. The children adore them. We, as parents, have such peace of mind knowing our child is in a safe and loving environment. I highly recommend Nurture and Nature!

*I am going to preface this by saying that I have never written a Unilocal review. However, I was compelled to open an account because of the incredibly outrageous lies by a previous reviewer. He has obviously never even been to this school, because his allegations are so incredibly far from the truth*
Our family has had a child at Nurture and Nature for the past 3 years. Our older daughter graduated from Teacher Shannon and Teacher Irene’s class last year, and is now thriving in kindergarten. Our youngest daughter is in Teacher Erin and Teacher Kim’s class this year, and is excited about progressing to Shannon and Irene’s class in the Fall.
We have had experience with a less than perfect preschool, and this is not it. I completely feel that Nurture and Nature is the BEST preschool in the world! Ok, I know that’s only my opinion, but I truly LOVE this school. All of the teachers are amazingly caring and educated, and dedicated to the best preschool experience for both students and families. The children leave Nurture and Nature very academically and socially prepared for kindergarten. I have absolutely no question that my children are loved and well cared for with the teachers of Nurture and Nature.
A couple of years ago, a mom sat next to me at the graduation with tears streaming down her face. When I turned to console her, she said, «I’m not crying because my daughter’s growing up, I’m crying because I’m not going to see these wonderful teachers any more.» She had had 3 children over the period of 6 years attend Nurture and Nature. At the end of next school year, I will be that woman crying because my children will no longer have these amazing teachers.
If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

This is a very special little school. Teachers Shannon and Erin and Asst. Teacher Vivianna are magic workers. The day is organized and structured for the kids but doesn’t feel overly monitored or rigid. Teacher Shannon is highly educated and just as intuitive. I look forward to the daily report/​assessments of my son. Her feedback whether it be positive or negative is constructive.
We came from a co-​op which felt too loosey-​goosey and I felt like the Pre-​K fundamentals weren’t being taught. I hadn’t realized that both play and learning could be taught together. I had thought it was either all learning or all play based. Nurture and Nature embraces both beautifully. Get your application in early as they do fill up. You don’t want to miss out on this school for your kids. I feel so good about this decision. Love Nurture and Nature!
