Food is honestly mediocre. The caprese salad was tasteless and the service was exceptionally slow. It is also more of an «order» place than a restaurant. My latte was good and the atmosphere is definitely nice but I would not eat here for the food. Again, the food is tasteless. Spend your money elsewhere or else see to it that it will be wasted.

I’ve come here a few times. It’s very close to mills hospital. Chiptole next door was closed this time, so i went next door to get some lunch. I normally order ½ sandwich ½ salad or ½ salad ½ soup combo. Sometimes the salads can be sitting for a couple of days. Personally i think it should be fresh daily and greens shouldn’t be used if it’s not fresh. A couple of times the greens have turned color or wilted. So i try to look at which salad has been moving and i go for that(roasted butternut this time) with the Soup of the Day. The location is convenient and i like that there is a sliding door so you can get a breeze of fresh air.

Waiting for the Cal Train we came to get some breakfast as out of towners. It was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Fresh squeezed orange juice and a bacon egg and cheese is the way to go!

Use to be my go to for a nice double latte and a good bagel with lox for my break at work. This week i got a lox bagel bit into it and threw up the fish tasted rotten. called the café cause i went back to work wit this to go order. spoke to the owner and voiced my concerns. She took my number and said she would call back. She called back and said that everything was ok and i jus got a bad piece and if i go back she would take care of me. No thanks lady I prefer not to hurl chunks on my breaks thanks tho.

I have not yet eaten here, but if the food is half as good as the coffee I’ve been drinking, then this is no doubt heaven’s outpost on earth. I had not had coffee this good, this strong, this smooth in a long, long, looooong time. Wow, just wow. Master coffee makers.

Caffe Roma is a North Beach institution. Luckily, they didn’t try to recreate the dark wood vibe of the original but instead went modern & airy but with just enough Italophile décor to bring it all together. All in all, a great place to kick back for a while. What about the coffee though? Well, I’m an espresso doppio kind of guy so they got me covered. There’s also panini, snacks, smoothies and such. It’s a good mix that manages to satisfy most without straying too far from the Italian-American roots. Cons? The narrow parking lot is often full of Chipotle-ites and there’s a lovely view of Walgreens. When in Rome…

Great location in millbrae and fast service most of the time. Came by this chilly afternoon and ordered a hot chocolate which at first tasted like water which made me want to get up and return it but I kept drinking it and the taste changed up after a couple of sips. It started to taste like a very rich dark hot chocolate which I’m not the biggest fan of but it was okay. Been here before to get a chai tea latte but it wasn’t very good at all either. I have a feeling their cappuccinos are what they are well known for so I’ll come back again to try something else and maybe grab one of those tasty looking pastries on the side. They also have food which looks pretty good!!! Just have yet to try it.

Caffe Roma is huge. There are tons of places to sit and chill, or simply catch up with emails and work related stuff! Service here was efficient and quick, and I really enjoyed their selections of pastries too and of course, my cappuccino was fantastic! There are plenty of parking at front and also adjacent next to Lucky’s Supermarket. Until then, Cheers! :p

Chai was good but the café was really loud which made it hard to get work done. Sandwhiches and salads looked really good!

Rather mediocre. The green smoothie I ordered was bland and mainly crushed ice. Very disappointing.

I found this place on Unilocal after I landed at SFO for a one day business trip. I was looking for a place nearby with coffee, breakfast and free wifi that would have space. According to other reviews they have plenty of spots. I ordered their oatmeal which was a huge bowl of heartiness that included goodies like brown sugar and dried fruits. I also had a soy latte and they did have free wifi and I found a small table to catch up on work before my customer meeting. This place is great! Great service and friendly staff. I will definitely mark this as a goto spot for my next visit and try some of their other foods.

Oh my goodness. Where do I begin!!! My parents and I were coming in to get a quick breakfast this morning, still in celebration mode from my recent engagement. We were coming to sit and plan out the next few details and I was very happy and excited. My father even shared the news with one of the owners that he knew because he comes so often with his retirement friends, all SF police officers. I am not sure what her name was, but she was lovely and was wearing a green top. She even came to come congratulate me. My parents ordered 2 turkey paninis, and I ordered the bagel sandwich(cream cheese, avocado, tomato and cucumber). We ordered with a woman named Alicia, and right off that bat, I could tell there was a bit of a language barrier and seemed easily confused. Anywho, she takes our order but we never got a receipt. We sat down and my parents got their food within 5 minutes. I however, waited 15 – 20 minutes. They seemed busy so I didn’t want to push the issue, but after 20 minutes I approached Alicia who took our order and reminded her of my order. She quickly realized she never made my order and got to it right away. So I sit back down and a few moments later, she comes with a bagel and cream cheese with none of the other add-ons that came with the bagel sandwich. So then I tell Alicia that I did not order that and she BARKED back, «yes you did!» I’M SORRY, am I not capable of knowing what I ordered?!! I point to the menu and said again«Bagel Sandwich» and then she doesn’t say another word to me and goes back behind the counter to talk to Rudy, one of the cashiers. I decided to also go tell Rudy, because she clearly does not understand the menu well, and again, there definitely seems to be a language barrier there. I tell Rudy I have been waiting for my order for a half hour at this point, my parents are finished with their sandwiches, and Alicia was not being very kind and does not seem to understand what I ordered. Then Rudy has the nerve to say, «You don’t have to be rude to me!» I was simply trying to explain the problem and he tells me I’m being rude?! Wow… zero customer service skills at this place, I was ASTOUNDED. I’m a second grade teacher and have worked at many restaurants and cafes and have never talked to my customers like that. At this point, my father, who comes here often, decided to intervene since he saw I was having so much trouble. Unfortunately, we never got a receipt so we couldn’t prove what I ordered, but I was the one who ordered, and because Rudy was so rude to me as well, I just said to forget the whole thing and walked out hungry. Alicia kept insisting to Rudy I ordered something different(bagel and cream cheese). So that was so insulting to me, because she was telling me I ordered something I did not, whether or not she rung it up that way, that is NOT what I ordered. My father was also confused and thought I ordered a bagel sandwich with egg, so that made matters a little more confusing, but bottom line, my order was never correct and then I got rudeness in return. BOTTOMLINE… I’m fine with mistakes, but I am not ok with rudeness, and Alicia at one point was smiling… SMILING! When my father was trying to come help. She should not be ringing up orders. And Rudy, wow, in my opinion, just as rude as she is. Customers should not be treated this way, EVER. I am just so disappointed that nice owner left right before I came up and asked where my order was because I would have loved to share what happened with her. I wish she hired kind people like herself, she should seriously re-think who she wants to represent her café.

Stopped here for a coffee and croissant before hitting 101 traffic and glad I did! The almond croissant was solid with a deliciously flavorful and soft center. My soy latte was heavy on the espresso, light on the soy, which I really like. It was the right kind of strong for a morning commute. The location is very convenient, the atmosphere very friendly!

I don’t post that often, but this caffe just had the whole package. It’s on a corner with wide open glass doors that roll back for a nice airy ambiance. Tall ceilings, good lighting. Nicely lit cold display case with hard-to-resist desserts and snackage like paninis and pasta salads. Very tempting! Perfect signage and suggested yummy drinks on the counter. Taking advantage of one of those suggestions on the counter, I ordered the Zebra Mocha. Oh and I couldn’t resist the brownie, to go with. Wow, this mocha is good. Also, the caffe is the same owners as the spot with the same name in North Beach, my old haunting grounds. Super nice barista. Overall, great spot. Near BART and Mills Hospital– I’ll grab coffees here in the future.

This place was busy on a Friday. You get greeted right away and customer service was a plus. Everyone that worked there made sure someone attended to your needs or order. The line was long but it went by really quick. I wanted to try their ice mocha and its pretty strong! If you want a lot of caffeine, this is the place to go. They also serve pastries, salads and sandwiches besides coffee. The cashier was very friendly along with everyone that worked there. Glad I stopped by.

Came in and ordered a Cappuccino and a Ceasar Wrap for under $ 12. I was served quickly by a friendly staff. I highly recommend this café to anyone in the area. The Ceasar wrap has Sun-Dried Tomatoes in it, which was a great addition! The Cappuccino was flavorful and foamy, just how I like it. Definitely coming back!

Stopped by on the way to sfo. Large open airy atmosphere. Friendly service. Ice coffee was quite watered down and the chicken sandwich was average, but I would go back for the atmosphere.

*Cue the aroma and smoke hand gesture beckoning Peter Griffin to come back to the window sill for that addictive aroma of pie from Quagmire’s house* That’s how I felt when I was walking around in the plaza across the street going from Walgreen’s to Lucky to Rite Aid while searching for an auxiliary cable for the rental car. The fresh baked cookies smell was beckoning me to choose between the smell or my dim sum cravings… and of course the cookie monster in me could not resist the fresh baked cookies smell so we ended up dropping by Caffe Roma to check them out! It was brunch-time and Patch P. and I decided to grab some omelettes to go with our cookies. I choose the green egg whites omelette with provolone and pesto and Patch P. had the Florentine with sausage, provolone, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes. Each plate came with a side of fruits and slices of soft bread and butter. Each bite was heavenly and the fruits were ripe just the right amount of sweetness. To describe our cookies, we weren’t able to figure out where exactly the freshly baked cookies were, but the last peanut butter chocolate drizzle cookie was perfect. Not too soft and not too hard. The white chocolate macadamia nut; however, was way too hard, but still O.K. It tasted like it was slightly frozen and didn’t have the chance to thaw out. Aw man, looks like I got lured by the aroma and didn’t get freshly baked cookies… oh well, this place was a good breakfast joint though! I enjoyed how the entire window pane on one side of the ‘wall’ can open up to the patio. You can pay for your order with credit card, which is a plus so I can save cash for other places that accept cash only since I’m from out of town. :) Parking is ample as there are two lots to choose from. The interior decoration is minimal and typical for a café, but the vastness of the glass window pane from floor to ceiling makes up for it as you can absorb and enjoy in the sunshine from indoors.

I had the tuna sandwich toasted. It was good. It came w chips. Everyone’s friendly and price is reasonable. Desserts look amazing but I didn’t have time to try. I’ve been to Rome and I know their desserts are rich. Will definitely come back to try their gelato.

I ordered yesterday and came back to this place hoping for a better experience. However, the boss and staff are rude and will pester you to order even if you did and/or are busy. They said that they didn’t have menus even though they claim they are a restaurant with overpriced items. Plus, they can’t even give you a receipt when they take your money. So, I was rushed to order a chicken pesto pizza. The pizza crust is like rubber, such that you’ll bend your fork and knife trying to cut it. The number one reason not to come here is that they had jalapeños in their chicken pesto pizza. When I asked what was in the pizza, the manager showed me a menu, which another waitress said didn’t exist, with jalapeños in their chicken pesto pizza. Since I am allergic to jalapeños, I had to leave immediately and get my epi-pen. Good luck with trying to get a cup of water here unless you find someone nice. Plus, their Wi-Fi is hit or miss in term is service. I’ll never come back to an establishment that made me feel this horrible mentally and physically without good customer service. Moreover, none of my family and friends will come here after hearing this horrendous experience. This café doesn’t value customers enough to get repeat business. It’s no wonder that it’s never full and always half-empty. Don’t waste your time here when there are plenty of cafés nearby that are better in terms of food, selections and service without risking your health!
