I find myself back at Woody’s, after going to other yogurt places in town. True, i was taken in for a while by the novelty of self-serve, at other places in town. But Woody’s has consistent good choices and better prices…

Went in to purchase frozen yogurt for Thanksgiving. Ashley(one of the young workers) was spraying the tables with chemical cleaner, the whole place reeked of it. I politely asked her to stop spraying until I could get my yogurt to go. She replied, «so you want the place to be dirty?» I told her I was sensitive to chemicals(has she never seen the no perfume signs everywhere) and she grunted with obvious sarcasm. The teenage girls who served me seemed nice but Ashely made a snide remark when I left…“Have a nice day!” she sneered. Where has customer service gone? How about respect for a senior citizen? I spent $ 14 for this?

No matter when we come here, it seems really crowded. I’m thinking that’s a good sign, right? There seems to be a ton of frozen yogurt around Mill Valley, but the frozen custard is worth a special trip here if you are into it. Really good and fresh tasting. Come with a friend(or two!) because the serving sizes are huge.

Soft-serve frozen custard! And the servings are generous. Maybe someday I should try the ice cream or frozen yogurt, but I probably won’t. The frozen custard is just too good. And too hard to find elsewhere.

If you haven’t been to Woody’s you are missing out. So many flavors made daily to the ice cream choices. Sprinkles. Super super friendly staff. And it’s AC in there! Daily flavors all super flavorful, filling, get in a cup, cake cone, waffle cone. Put as many flavors swirls. Mix and match them all. Bring the kids, the parents and your neighbors. You won’t be disappointed!

They have the most amazing pineapple frozen yogurt. Wow I almost went back in to get another waffle cone filled with it.

The website says until 10pm but the workers are closing at 9.30pm and putting a sign«closed for maintenance», and they’re just cleaning. I don’t know if the owner is aware of that. We drove all the way there to find that it was closed before the time indicated.

Love love Woody’s. This is such a lovely local joint. The sizes are huge. The ice cream tastes fresh. Yes it’s cash only, and yes seating is limited, but it really is a great neighborhood place.

Classic place! Their frozen yogurt is good… But their frozen custard is AMAZING and they always have it. The only reason I didn’t gove them 5 stars is that their FroYo selection doesn’t change very often. but all in all, great place for a frozen treat.

I ended up at Woody’s after a family dinner the other night and was reminded of why Woody’s is still and I hope will always be part of Mill Valley. Besides Woody’s being one of the best places in the county for those guilty pleasures, Michael Woodson(the owner) has been one of the most positive influences in our community. About 14 years ago I approached Woody for a donation for one of our school events. He not only donated to the event, he offered to give the whole school an ice cream party on the last day of school. He has been doing that every year since. It is my understanding that he does the same thing for any Mill Valley school that wishes him to. It really is wonderful to see a business owner that is willing to reach out and help give our children a positive school experience.

The frozen yogurt here is good, but they only accept cash. There is a Bank of America ATM right outside, but it is not in our network so we had to pay a fee. There is very little seating inside. It wouldn’t have been a problem if the weather was better, because there was outdoor seating. The inconvenience of «cash only» is the only reason this place is getting 3 rather than 4 stars.

The perfect scenario: Me having fro-yo and the pup eating Frosty Paws from Woodlands Pet Market. haha. I was mindblown when the girl handed me my small swirl yogurt. OMG the servings are huge. When I ordered I got a banana and chocolate swirl — and each yogurt peak was piled way over the cups capacity. I also got the vanilla custard yogurt because I asked for a sample and HAD to get more. It’s the perfect dessert for a hot Marin day. Strawberry Village is also really nice now and has lots of benches for relaxing and eating your fro-yo.

Great place for frozen yogurt, only downfall is the toppings aren’t self serve. Otherwise delicious frozen yogurt and ice cream!

I was really craving some ice cream after my dinner so I looked around and stumbled upon this frozen treat joint. I went in expecting it to be a primarily frozen yogurt business hut was pleasantly surprised to find that they also served ice cream as well. I purchased a rocky road ice cream with some brownies and hot fudge. It was good but with all the toppings on top and the ice cream filled up a decent amount am out it was hard to even out the ice cream with the toppings. Leaving a topping heavy top and an ice cream heavy bottom. I also purchased another ice cream for my father who said that unfortunately his graham crackers were stale. Nothing stopping me from coming back again but I have certainly had better frozen desserts.

Frozen(vanilla) custard remains second to none. Efficient service. Late hours are rare for a locally-owned business. Always open until at least 9p year-round. So our family goes after dinner as a nice homework break.

I really want to like Woody’s more but each time I visit I leave feeling like it just doesn’t measure up to the other fro-yo options in the general vicinity. Pros: their frozen custard is awesome and, as far as I know, unavailable elsewhere. Portion sizes are huge Convenient location if you’re on the Strawberry/Tiburon side of the 101 Cons: not self serve. This makes it both inconvenient and the wait much longer Prices for toppings are obscene. $ 1 for a topping? Come on! Feels dated and dirty. Most other frozen treat stores feel sterile by comparison. Cash only. Seriously? In this age of eCommerce and apple pay you can’t even get a square account?

Although the interior is a bit austere the guy behind the counter was exuberant and the selection of soft serve was pretty decent. The prices were average for Marin, but the toppings at $ 1 per were a bit much. The frozen custard was decent. 3 stars.

I went here craving some good fro yo after a long day at work. I am somewhat of a fro yo fanatic. I had my hopes way up after reading all the positive reviews. Anyway, went in and we ordered two smalls. It is not self serve which is what I prefer but I figured we would try it anyway. We each got a topping. First of all, way expensive for what we got. Second of all, they were super skimpy on the toppings. I got like three bites of toppings and the rest was yogurt. It would be ok if the yogurt was super tasty but it was just meh. There are way better places to go in Mill Valley. I would skip this one.

I ordered the smallest cup and it was huge. Normally I prefer self serve froyo so I only take a little bit of yogurt and top it with a lot of toppings. I had the marshmallow flavor and I loved it. But it was much creamier and heavier than the other froyos I had so it made me feel a little sick after I ate the whole cup(couldn’t waist it). Not sure what makes the difference but for my taste it was too heavy.
