Coffee 5 stars, some of the employees not so many.

Nice setting, with outdoor area. Coffee is good, several choices of pastries. Music is a little loud but good, should be a little softer. There is no oven or toaster to heat up any of the items you buy.

Staff is very friendly. During my 2 hour hang out, one of the servers cleaned the bathroom and laid out matts to protect customers. My chai latte was delicious. Only downside of this Pete’s was the lack of outlets. Other than that, great experience.

Coffee Quality: 5 Service: 4(doesn’t stand out, not horrible, mostly young kids, slow) Atmosphere/space: 3.5 Neighborhood/Location: 5 Wifi: 3 — Free but unsecure, not good for working if u have a vpn u need to access My default coffee has been Peet’s for many years and still is. I’m a card carrying member. Despite the fact that I make Peet’s espresso @ home nearly every morning, I still get a warm cozy feeling when I go into this café because it’s familiar and consistent Peet’s located in the most beautiful quaint village surrounded by redwoods in the heartbeat center — close to adorable shops, eateries, movie theatre, food market, flower shop, banks and a bookstore leading to open plaza across the street. I feel like a kid in a candy store filled with anticipation, despite the fact that with rare exception, I order the same thing: low fat triple shot latte w/room. Occasionally i’ll indulge in a scone or muffin or iced bread(cake) — always yummy but expensive ~$ 4. I’ve recently moved to MV from the Piedmont area of the East Bay and this Peet’s is even closer to my home — easily walkable. I think Peet’s(this one specifically) could do a much better job of making more room for patrons to sit or even stand up against a bar — as is the custom in Europe — while they drink their coffee(not camp out for hours, I do realize they need to make money and are paying a mint for this prime location). It’s usually hard to get a table and has a very big ‘to go’ culture(as most Peet’s do) which to me kind of defeats the purpose of a coffee shop — a place to gather w/friends or read the paper or just be in a social place while you fuel up for the day or take a mid-day break. The physical space could be warmed up a bit with more comfortable seating and just organized in a way for better flow and communing with the hot nectar there instead of zooming off somewhere w/it in hand. This Peet’s as most others, has their regular crowd of retired folks who gather and they keep local artists’ work exhibited which helps with the unique neighborhood vibe. The service could be more welcoming — mostly young kids working there who don’t seem to realize they could make a big difference in someone’s day if the smiled and made eye contact. All that said, while this Peet’s isn’t the hippest aesthetically inside, the coffee rocks and I don’t intend on leaving the cult anytime soon.

Long-time customer of this Peets. Something’s not working here. 1:25PM, November 9th. Five customers in line, four employees behind the counter. Two are helping a single woman with coffee beans. A manager type is replenishing the baked goods. She tells the employees at the bean station that one of them should take customers. They don’t respond. She doesn’t look up. Keeps replenishing baked goods. Customers look at each other wondering. Barista asks if he can start a drink but everybody wants beans or drip. No «Sorry folks. Will be with you in a second.» Customer in front of me leaves. I wait another couple minutes. I leave after a 5 to 10 minute wait.

Horrible service. Paid for a latte and sat down to wait. Ten minutes later asked the Latino batista if that was my latte. Told him my name. He said«I dunno». The other four Caucasians stared at me blankly. The Latino guy kept yelling, Friday Baby.

Was drawn to Peets by its Local history and fairly good reviews. But the staff all acted like filling my order was a major inconvenience. I suppose the coffee is good but this particular Peets gives off a bad vibe. For coffee and a little ambience walk across the street to another coffee shop.

Quick friendly staff. They got my name down after my 3rd visit. Matcha green tea is yummy!

This is still my favorite coffee spot in town. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. I buy all of my beans here and several times a week have their yummy soy chai while sitting outside and watching Mill Valley life go by.

This is a Peet’s that actually has some character. The locals are nothing but hilarious, 50−70-year old people who like to wake up at 6 o’clock in the morning come down to the shop and talk life. Just overhear the conversation and that’s enough to keep you entertained and fueled throughout the day. Coffee is always hot and that’s a perk; it’s Peet’s so you know what you’re getting.

Best experience I’ve had at any Peets. The staff is outgoing, fun, and know how to work the bar. They are really patient when it comes to outlandish requests too. Which is more then half of all orders considering this is the Mill Valley location.

Great coffee shop, best staff of any Peets, It would get a 5-star apart from the internet — great staff, friendly customers. But the internet is seriously unusable,(0.65Mbits according to Speedtest), even Peet’s home page often takes 3 minutes or so to load. If you want internet go to the Depot(at least 10x the speed). Staff say they can’t do anything about it, and head-office obviously doesn’t care.

Woo I love this Peets! I come here almost every morning to get my tea(or someone from the office does), the people know my name and are always helpful. They have really tasty pastries, I really like the black bottom cupcakes. I see people hanging out there all day and it’s a friendly place. Yes the line can be long and the seating limited, but I still come get the same great service, beverages and snacks

A one star deduction for otherwise a standard Peets brew as explained below. If the staff would actually work and give service as oppose to spend time chitchatting amongst themselves or the addict who visits six times of day, this would be five starts. Also, if you want everyone who buys beans and drinks to be in the same line, fix your signs. No one likes waiting five minutes to be told«sorry, there is only one line now».
