North Bay Towing And Recovery

I have never in my life encountered someone more rude and certifiably insane than Robert May from North Bay Towing And Recovery. I’m not sure what good will come of writing a bad review of a tow company but I’m going to write one anyway.
I needed to attend an open house in Corte Madera, that like much of Marin, had limited parking options. One side of the street was clearly marked as a no-​parking zone, while the spot I chose had a gravel/​dirt area off the pavement that I presumed to be an available parking spot. I went in to see the open house for less than 10 minutes and when I returned my car was jacked up on Robert May’s (of North Bay Towing And Recovery) tow truck who told me I could either pay him $ 150 or he’d tow it to San Rafael where I’d need to pay double that.
And if you couldn’t tell from what I’ve written, he was quite a hot head. So yeah, not a pleasant experience. I write this with the hope that someone from the BBB or anyone who oversees tow truck operators might take this guy’s license so that he can’t «legally» tow any other unsuspecting vehicles.
Yuck.

We broke down a few miles outside of Muir Woods in the dark. A very bad place to break down. After hitching a ride to the gas station, Robert of North Bay towing picked us and found out stranded car in the dark. He took us across the Golden Gate Bridge to Pacifica for a very reasonable price. He took us to an auto parts store and helped us to replace the blown hose. Robert stayed until he made sure the car’s fluid levels were good and we were not in danger of overheating. Robert realy went the extra mile for us. He was very helpful and pleasant. He saved our night!

Sometimes Towing companies get a bad rap. Sometimes, they are hero’s and angels. Robert is awesome and just that type of guy. He has values and morals and more than willing to do the right thing. I really appreciate the service and extra effort he put into our issues. THANK YOU North Bay Towing! Especially Robert.

I have to say that I got great assistance from Robert with North Bay towing. He even called ME back after I was trying to figure out a difficult situation with my boyfriends flatbed truck. I feel like he cared to let me know that he could help me (and the price was good). This is definitely a company I would personally use again… and I will request Robert! :)
