The professional know how of all the therapists and assistants is remarkable. The service is understated yet truly palpable. Everyone welcomes you with a smile in what could otherwise be an intimidating experience especially if it’s your first time to have PT. Michael, Carol, Rod, Susan and the rest of the team(Vanessa, Heather, Brian etc) provide you with excellent support: from assessment, exercises and continuing follow up. They are thorough and make you a stronger, better, healthier person by the time you walk out on last visit. I have worked with them through 2 knee surgeries and a recent shoulder surgery. The quality has not changed in the last 5 – 10 years. I cannot recommend them enough. They are an amazing group of pro’s.

I came to MVPT after breaking my humerus and having Open Reduction and Internal Fixation surgery. Rod, Shirin and staff, literally, could not have been better. Their knowledge, individual focus and genuine care manifested in an optimal and truly personal program that has pushed me to recover as quickly as possible while maintaining prudent safety precautions(despite myself!). I am now 2 months out of surgery and have close to full range of motion in my elbow and shoulder, and rapidly taking on weight bearing exercise. Absolutely excellent and highly recommended.

I just completed 6 weeks of PT after breaking my arm. Rod(the owner) worked with me twice a week and sent me home with updated exercises to do between sessions. I was evaluated for strength, flexibility, and endurance weekly and my «homework» was adjusted as needed for optimal results. When I started therapy, I could barely move my wrist and arm, had zero flexibility and consistent pain. Now, all functions are 80% or more of normal and improving daily. Rod and his staff are thorough, compassionate, and professional in all aspects of service. They truly care about their clients and take time to listen, evaluate and respond to every concern. if I need physical therapy for any reason in the future, I’ll be back in an instant. Highest recommendation!

I have been to MVPT twice in two years for rehab following sports injuries. The staff is thorough at intake and helpful in reviewing the at-home exercise regimen. They are thoughtful in moving through the exercises at each stage of recovery from acute to improving flexibility to strengthening. Each time I’ve come away with a better understanding of the healing process and felt guided and supported in my recovery.

I was only seen once and basically sent away with some exercise hand outs, no recommendation for follow-up and no better off than when I showed up. I’ve had fantastic PT experiences in the past, but unfortunately this one was mediocre and disappointing for the price I paid. Not a bad place, but not special either. Getting out of their parking lot can be challenging too. On a positive note, the front desk lady was very friendly and warm.

Saw too many individual therapists and could not stick to one.

Rod was indirectly responsible for the three rupture discs in my neck. In my first and only session with Rod to treat my severe frozen shoulder, he instructed and watched me to do exercises that put severe stress to my back and my neck. All without support for my back or my back and he could see how frozen my shoulder was. He instructed me to do these exercises daily at home. After three days of exercises at home, I had this insupportable pounding pain in the right side of my head. MRI ordered by my neurologist showed I had three rupture discs in my neck. After three weeks of medication, this insupportable pain finally subsided but I am still suffering and getting treatments for my rupture discs.

I have been seeing Michael Leary(co-owner) at MVPT to help me with a long standing-turned-acute bursitis and sciatica. Michael took the time to figure it all out as well as helping me address the root cause — a shortened IT band and poor posturing due to years of working as a dental hygienist. He gave me some targeted exercises and stretches as well as myofacial release therapy(they sell the best ice packs!) and took the time to explain what was going both verbally and visually so I could really understand the problem. Fearing I would forget the exercises, I asked for and was given a print out explaining, in writing and with pictures, the ones I needed to do at home, which was really helpful. At follow up visits Michael would see how I was doing and add or alter his recommendations as needed. The staff has been really good at checking in with me, making sure I have my next appointment and am doing ok. My pain is gone after carefully following the program of icing and exercising. I have felt supported and encouraged at each visit that I am improving and am motivated to finally fix the underlying chronic irritation I have been dealing with/ignoring for years. On a financial note, they take my insurance(Cigna) so prices were very reasonable!

I recently completed a six-month rehab at MVPT for my shoulder following rotator cuff surgery. From start to finish, I had great care and support in regaining full use of my arm. While I started out with Rod — the owner — my varying schedule forced me work with virtually all the pt staff at one point or another. Each therapist or tech was fully briefed on my routine and what needed to be done, and rather than lose momentum, they all contributed to the final recovery. I’m grateful to everyone there for the work they did in getting me scheduled and rehabbed and ready for action. I won’t hesitate to refer any of my friends or acquaintances should they need great pt services.

Yes, helpful, great healing hands. Although they go a bit fast and sometimes I can’t remember all the excercises to do at home and remember… home therapy is the key to wellness. So do them at home too or it won’t work. I hope I can get my exercises in writing so I can do them all when I travel.

I have been to MVPT twice now and I would come back again in a heartbeat. I’ve never met such a great group of knowledgeable, helpful, and caring people before. I am currently undergoing physical therapy there after surgery for a torn ACL. Rod(the owner) is an amazing person who knows the right answers to all my questions and truly listens to how I am feeling. All the therapists act according to how I feel that day and determine next steps based on my progress. I come to them with some obscure inquiries and I’ve always received a warm response with feedback that has further helped me recover. They are not only a great group to work with but I enjoy the time I spend there. It feels like they truly care how I am doing. Thanks to the team at MVPT, I was walking only 14 days after knee surgery. Everyone cheered when I walked in with no crutches! I highly recommend this rehab clinic and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

MVPT and Rod Heschong are the reason I’m walking well today! After an extremely painful knee replacement surgery I was very fortunate to do my post surgical physical therapy at MVPT. For over a year I did pt 3x a week and for several months 5x a week with Rod. Because of his skill, experience and encouragement I was able to improve my range of motion and walk correctly. I can’t say enough about MVPT. The staff is excellent and very responsive. Rod is not only a skilled physical therapist who sees hundreds of doctors’ patients in recovery, he is compassionate, thoughtful and a good listener. He will become your advocate and will help you with your recovery.

This is my second visit to MVPT. I took my son there when he was having a knee problem and our family doc was not providing straight answers. On the hunch that Rodney sees more banged up knees than a family doc, and more importantly is more up to date on the treatment for them, we went to see MVPT. Glad we did. He was right on in diagnosing and treating it. More recently, I sprained my knee while running, and went straight to MVPT. Again — Rodney was right on, and after 2 weeks of rehab with his staff, it’s feeling much better. Highly recommended for select injuries, particularly sports related.

Not a good choice for the precision rehab work I needed for a torn tendon. Maybe OK for other services, but I found it to be an assembly-line type of care that was inconsistent, often with a completely different team for each session. I worked with no less than 3 therapists and assistants per visit, some with considerably less experience than others. Everyone is nice and kind and helpful and some are very good at what they do, but without«continuity of care,» the therapy here ends up being a mishmash of everyone’s input.

I still must say that the staff here are SO nice but unfortunately my back actually improved way more after I stopped attending physical therapy… My brother taught me some much simpler stretches that worked a lot better and faster. So… my PT here was somewhat a waste of some of my time and money but at least I met some nice people who were fun to hang out with while I was there and got some nice massages!

MVPT is awesome. i’ve been doing my pt and pilates there for over a year. the whole staff is great. pamela is both an mspt and a pilates instructor and damn is she good. i have some pretty bad spine problems so she creates a pilates regimine with me that fits my physical therapy needs. it’s so awesome to have a pilates instructor who is also a physical therapist because she combines the best of the two worlds and i feel like i’m getting ultimate care. she also happens to be a rockin woman who i really like.
