Mili

Nice clothes. Owners void of kindness, thoughtfulness, integrity, understanding. First thing you should know… They don’t exchange anything after a week – even if it’s just to swap sizes. They don’t stand by their merchandise either. Bought a $ 500 dress and the zipper doesn’t work. Owner told me that I must have done something to the dress. Save yourself the $ 1500 you’re likely to drop in this store – and take it someplace that knows something about customer service and appreciates your business.

Bought a pair of shoes touted as extremely comfortable. Turned out not to be the case. Tried to return for store credit on day 14, not knowing they have a 7 day return policy! I actually did try to return them a couple of times within the 7 day period, but both times there are signs on door saying «call the other location» because no one is here. This happens a lot at this place— three stores and one person to juggle between them. Totally unreasonable return policy. Not very nice to work with either. They just lost a frequent customer!

The owners of Mili operate with zero integrity. I recently purchased a $ 1000 coat which completely came apart after two weeks of infrequent wear: seams separating, buttons coming off, black zipper finish exposing the metal beneath.
Because I was in Europe, I was only able to get back to the store just five short weeks after purchase. Upon trying to exchange the coat, Mili initially refused to speak to me, or exchange the coat, though she had one available in the store. I simply, respectfully, asked for an exchange, not a refund, which would have been completely warranted. Following my shockingly unpleasant, hopeless interaction with Mili, she passed me off to her aggressive and very rude husband, Paul, who proceeded to simply shout at me repeatedly about store policy. I pointed out they actually have no store policy for an item falling apart within five weeks of purchase, and two weeks of occasional wear.
Though they eventually agreed to fix the coat, upon picking it up, the 2.5 foot replacement zipper, which is the center piece of the coat, was copper in hue, not flat black, or of the simple elegance as purchased. Pointing this out to Paul incited a complete repeat of his antagonistic, rude behavior and continued accusation that it’s the customer’s problem, given store policy. A $ 1000 coat of quality could not possibly fall apart from customer wear and tear in this short timeframe, and the responsibility to decently, politely exchange the coat resided with Mili & Paul. Still does.
On a good day, it’s not worth one penny patronizing this place (or Paul’s shoe store next door), on a bad day, a real travesty and sad testament of human behavior and lack of integrity.

Fantastic designer clothing that I have not found in other stores.
Joseph Ribicoff and Isabel de Pedro designs are flattering and timeless. You can wear them for years as they are so well constructed.
The staff is always very helpful and knows what will look good on me before I do.
Plus they always welcome my border collie!
And I do not have to try to park in SF!

I’m from NY, design costumes and clothing and the Mili stores are five star … I was in all three today and I received great service. I walked away with several great pieces (even a pair of shoes) and I am usually very picky and price conscious. Would highly recommend if you want edgy clothing, but don’t want to look like a 16 year old.

Disappointing…
I had shopped in the past at Mili. After being out of town for awhile, I returned to check it out. Sadly the customer service has become non-​existent. The owner worries more about her dog sleeping and her merchandise than the customer. I’ve been in a few times and attempted to engage her and to no avail.
On a more positive note: In the past when her husband worked in the store — he was extremely helpful and very client focused.

I’ve shopped at all of Mili’s stores for over 10 years and have loved everything I’ve bought. Mili knows me now and can pick out exactly what is perfect for me. I love her stores, and she has amazing taste at finding these wonderful designers.

Milli has taken over Mill Valley. There are at least three stores within two blocks of each other that all look and feel the same and they all sell the same tacky clothing. What happened to Canvas and Allie G that sold great brands and labels? I’ll be taking my shopping $$ to San Francisco as there are no good clothing stores in Mill Valley anymore other than The Store and Margaret O’ Leary. This place looks and feel tacky and trashy.

Mili in Mill Valley is AWESOME!!! Mili carries great lines of hip clothing, from awesome jackets, shirts, cool skirts, jeans, festive wear, assessories and a few pair of hip shoes. Mili also is so helpful with great suggestions!!! Thank you, Mili, for the extra effort that you take with each individual customer and for carrying killer clothing! Mili ROCKS!

seriously one of the greatest places to get kick-​ass, sexy and original clothing for women. this is a fashionista’s mecca.
they also have an AMAZING and edgy jewelry collection, the likes of which you really won’t find anywhere else.
both locations are terrific. the mill valley location feels more «homey» and the novato one is more minimalistic and modern.
highly. highly. recommended.

Mili is as fantastic as the clothes she selects and sells. Fun, a little edgy, wearable and practical! She has a great sense of style and will help you put looks and outfits together. And the dogs in the shop are friendly and pettable.
