Amazing food, amazing service, amazing owner, amazing lunch deals, amazing location. Lams kitchen is absolutely superb for lunch or dinner. And the owner is a total sweetheart. 5 stars hands down.

Food was great, but the people behind the counter and in the kitchen were as nice as all get out!

I only trust lam’s kitchen. It is really good food. Mei is a doll always smiling very nice, know all of her regulars and their orders. This is top notch customer service to me. So what if they don’t deliver anymore. It’s only lazy people who complain about that, these are people who don’t want to pick up their kids from Tam H.S. so they send a taxi or Über so they won’t be bothered. That’s neither here nor there though. I order at least 1 – 2 times a week and I don’t mind driving to go and get it. My favorite is the Westlake beef soup, best I’ve had over these past 2 yrs. I don’t know if I could stomach anyone else’s food to be honest.

The food is good at Lam’s kitchen — but they have made a business decision to no longer offer delivery. Other chinese restaurant’s in Mill Valley still deliver, however. Bamboo Hut delivers and you can order via Unilocal online. The winner and new champion

Went here not knowing what to expect. Ended up leaving with a smile and a belly full of delicious food. The woman working there was super friendly and very quick. We got the potstickers to start and they were amazing! So big and full of flavor. I got the house chow mien with chow fun noodles and it was very tasty and the perfect sized portion. We will definitely be going back.

Fried rice tasty. Tried the pork and veggie. It’s the seasoned rice(dark) rather than the white. Egg rolls good and salt and pepper spare ribs cut into small pieces but good. Very good value. Friendly staff.

Tasty basic chinese fare. However, usually don’t feel great after. New hours(close 8:30pm) and no more delivery make it pretty hard for me. Plus, it is pretty grungy in a non-fun way so delivery was a good way to go. Oh well.

Everytime I leave this place I leave with a smile. Last time I went they served me an excellent hot sour soup to start off before my meal. The food was delicious and the service is very warm and friendly. The décor is very average making this place a bit of a hidden gem in Mill Valley. You feel so welcomed when you walk in and satisfied and full when finished.

Quick, easy and good food. Atmosphere could use some creativity, but the staff is very nice and quick to take orders, deliver food, and drop the check. Not a date night location, but perfect for a quick bite.

How does one define charisma? Is it the ability to never give up? To persevere in spirit when the odds are stacked against you? For me, Ryan Martin McNeil, I experienced charisma Friday night at Lam’s kitchen located in the sleepy little town of Mill Valley. From the moment I walked in the door i was immediately struck by the décor. The subtle nod to gucci on the walls, the brightly illuminated menu, and of course, the staff. He told me his name was Nick and it was his first day waiting tables. What I experienced next was nothing short of immaculate. Nick gracefully poured, served, and chatted with us throughout our meal. We laughed, cried, and discussed the workings of the world over a fantastic meal. I left with a feeling I hadn’t felt in a long time… gratitude. Thank you Nick, lam’s kitchen, and god for an amazing night.

the Chinese food here is mediocre. it’s definitely not authentic by any means. Pretty bland and uninteresting taste. the restaurant interior is pretty sterile. stark fluorescent lights over a few tables. not exactly warm or inviting. almost a bit depressing. service is friendly though.

My boyfriend and I frequent this establishment. It’s one of our absolute favorites. The staff are friendly and take the initiative to really pay attention to and remember their customers. I love when the woman who works there remembers I like extra soy sauce. We usually get the salt and pepper chicken and hot and sour soup. The soup one of the best hot and sour soups I’ve ever had. They always have the perfect amount of spice and tofu. The salt and pepper chicken is also always made perfectly. The vegetable combinations and amount of salt and spice is always expertly crafted. We love this restaurant!

Although I’m not from Mill Valley, anytime I’m out there I make sure to come here because of the wonderful experiences I’ve had here. For the restaurant’s size, this place has quite a large menu with virtually anything you could ask for. Some of my favorites include the Spicy Garlic Eggplant and Sweet and Sour Chicken. In addition to the yummy tasting food here, what stands out most to me is the service. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes sure to greet you right when you step through the door. She always has a smile on her face and takes the effort to really get to know her customers. Service is fast and everything is hot and fresh. Also, many of the customers here order to-go and actually get the food delivered to their homes. Make sure to take advantage of this because the delivery guys are super nice and it’s very useful and convenient! All in all, if you’re ever in the area and want some Chinese food that’s reasonably priced, fast, and good tasting without sacrificing friendly service, this is the place for you. Check it out!

My wife and I just spent 5 days vacationing in Mill Valley and on three of these days we had take out from this restaurant, the experience was that good. With these types of restaurants you will usually have one of two things, fast food or good food, generally not both. This place consistently gives you both. One the first night we used them we opted for their free delivery and were shocked when the delivery arrived at our hotel in approximately 15 minutes. I’m not even sure how that’s possible. Granted, we weren’t that far from the restaurant, maybe ¾ths of a mile, but still. We were further surprised at just how good the food was. Because the food was so delicious, we decided to stop in and pick up our order the next two nights and we’re glad we did. The owner is a charming, gracious and friendly Chinese lady who seemed genuinely glad to see us and not just be going through the motions like so many places do these days. She was happy, upbeat and a pleasure to talk to and do business with. Because of this very positive experience, we stopped in and picked up our food there on our last night as well. They have a fairly extensive menu, their food is excellent, their prices are reasonable and everything was prepared to perfection. Although there are a few tables for dining there, this area is small. This is primarily a takeout/delivery restaurant. It was a very pleasurable experience and we highly recommend Lam’s Kitchen when you are in the Mill Valley area.

Very pleasantly surprised! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this local eatery. This definitely falls under the category of don’t-judge-a-book-by-its-cover. From the outside, it looks like a run-of-the-mill Chinese fast food joint. Not exactly Panda Express. But not exactly upscale either. But I took my chances anyway and stopped in a for a little Chinese grub to-go. I ordered me some pork pot stickers and the spicy chicken with string beans and brown rice. I fig And I got to tell ya — both dishes were really solid. Not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. But certainly good for the price. Both dishes with rice cost me roughly $ 17. The portions were generous, and I had enough food to take home for the next day. I’ll certainly return for take-out when I need my pot sticker fix.

Having worked near Oakland Chinatown for years, I know excellent, cheap Chinese food. However, coming home to Marin for over 20 years, I’ve not yet been able to find a comparable Chinese restaurant north of the Golden Gate Bridge. With this in mind, I tried Lam’s Kitchen tonight. I ordered three dishes, BBQ Pork Chow Mein w/Hong Kong Style Noodles, Mongolian Chicken and Hunan Pork. The friendly woman who took my order said that it would be delivered in 30 minutes. The order arrived in slightly more than 20 minutes, although I live in Strawberry, on the other side of Highway 101. The three entrees cost $ 24.50, comparable to Chinatown prices. Interestingly, the three dishes had fairly similar flavors, a strong garlicky, soy and oyster sauce flavor. In all fairness, it really wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t the Chinese food that I’m accustomed to. I also noticed the use of vegetables — zucchini, sugar snap peas, Western broccoli — that you don’t often see in Chinatown restaurants. So, my quest for good Chinese food in Marin continues, and while Lam’s Kitchen did not pass the Chinatown test, their food, let’s call it Chinese Fusion, is quite good.

Lam’s Kitchen??? Whats this? Wasn’t this Lilly Kia? Yes, it was but now it Lam’s Kitchen. I am unsure on what the story behind the name change but I dig it. I got delivery and they still have the same lightning fast service as before. They gal said they would be at my door in 40 minutes but it only took 20. I got my usual Chinese dinner, chicken chow main, pork pot stickers and four pork bums! If you haven’t had a pork bun, get one… no wait get 4 because they are sooo good. As for the rest of my meal it was the same as before and was good. If you are nervous about giving them a try because of their name change, don’t! Its good food and fast service!
