When Sport Clips first opened in Milford the service and the quality of the haircut was very good. Know the service is bad they do not even acknowledge you when you come into the store. Plus the staff are not the friendliest

If I could leave zero stars I would. I went in to Sports Cuts with hopes to get a hair cut. I walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone. I sat in the waiting room and awaited for someone to say a simple«we’ll be right with you.» After 20 minutes of waiting, and seeing 4 or 5 different employees at the front counter, I decided to leave. I will never step foot in there again, it’s frustrating being ignored when you’re trying to give someone business.

My hair dresser was very knowledgable and exceeded expectations with the quality of my fade from the top to side. The tealeaf shampoo smells so good and minty :)

As others have written, terrible customer service. We had to walk out today after waiting over 25 minutes. We signed in. At the time it looked like there were 4 people working there. Although there seemed to be a bunch of family and/or friends of the workers there too. Then 2 workers left. I’m almost positive the one person leaving gave my son’s ticket to one of the workers. But that worker disappeared into the back. Total disregard for the fact that a customer was sitting there waiting. Almost the whole time there was just one child getting a haircut, so it wasn’t busy. Then a new worker came and we were still waiting. Then finally the new person asked who was«my son’s name». Hello… we are the only ones waiting?!? The woman that was in the back finally came out. She made some excuses about cleaning, she had to go to Fairfield, she didn’t see us, etc etc. If there were things she had to do, she should have had the courtesy to tell us it would be a bit of a wait. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. But it will be the last for us.

So it seems the system is if you are friends with the staff you can sign in, leave, and then come back 3 hours later and get taken right away even though there are customers sitting and waiting for an hour. horrible customer service. For most people if you are not there when they call your name, you are SOOL but the rules appear to be different for special customers.

Stopped in at the end of a day on a Friday. Shop was clean and organized, staff was friendly. Service was great and fast! Everyone was super friendly. Will be back for sure.

I have been to this sports clips before but I had a bad experience. A couple of days ago I received a coupon in the mail for MVP haircut which goes for $ 24 for my birthday. I decided to go back to them even though I haven’t been there for almost a whole year… come on. it was a half price coupon. I decided to go early so I can get it over the arrived at the location at 8:45 a.m.. I stood in front of the store to wait for someone to arrive. Someone did arrive at approximately 8:47; the woman looked like she’s been through hell and back no smile on her face looking very angry open the door and walked in I didn’t realize the door was unlocked. I proceeded to walk into the store when she turned around and looked at me and said we are not open yet! I asked if I could just sit in the store and look at my phone while the place was being set up for opening and she said that’s okay just have a seat but we don’t take anyone until 9. About 10 minutes later to other people showed up so I got up and I signed in to make sure of my place in line. I then saw a second employee walk up to the counter did not smile and not say hello to anybody looked at something behind the desk and walk back to the rear of the store. Another hairdresser came to the front desk looked around to see there were several people waiting and cursed under her breath and shook her head and then walked back to the rear of the store. Do you see a pattern here did it seemed that none of these people were happy about taking care of business today no kind of feeling of joy no expression of joy on their face. Would you want to get your haircut cut by people like that? So I got up to leave, tore up my coupon and threw it in the garbage. l saw the receptionist open the door and said where you going your next and I said not in this lifetime girlfriend. I should have trusted my instincts the last time I went there I got a horrible haircut sometimes even though you get a coupon in the mail you should trust your instincts and say forget it’s not for me.

The smell of tea tree shampoo and the sound of ESPN provide atmosphere in this sports oriented men’s salon. Spring for the Triple Play with the shampoo and hot towel. They rotate their staff with the Fairfield store and don’t take appointments, so you get who you get. I’ve been happy with my haircuts.

I go there every time I get my cut. It’s great. I’m shocked at all the bad reviews here. The ladies are always kind and recognize me and my dad every time we go. The MVP is soooo relaxing but every so often you get a girl who cares more about talking on her phone about mani pedis and boyfriends then not clipping my eye out. But mostly every lady is nice and talks to me about school and family vacations and stuff like that. Today the lady was the nicest I ever seen at Sports Clips and complimented me. I forget her name. Another nice lady is Meghan who is always smiling, talking to you, and gets the job done. The haircuts aren’t particularly the best, but I don’t see anything wrong with them either. The wait isn’t too long, about 10 – 20 minute wait on weekdays and on weekends it sometimes gets from 15 – 45 minutes. Great place.

This was not my first time here. They vacuum between cuts so the place is always clean. They have 4 tiers of pricing — from just a cut, to a chair massage and steam towel. Wait was not too long for a midday Sunday. I thought I’d gotten into a «groove» with one of the stylists, but now she’s gone so it’s starting over again with someone new. I don’t like smokers and one or two of them are, which is not someone I want to be around so close to my face. Will probably find another place now.

Stay away. Horribly run place. Sat there for 55 minutes with out being able to get my hair cut. Mind you there were three stylists working and only person actually cutting hair. The other two were on the phone with their boyfriends for twenty minutes and then went in front to take a cigarette break. Leaving myself and another person sitting there. Left and came back three days figuring it was a fluke. Sat there for another 35 min before I have up. Three different women this time. Was the only one waiting to get my hair cut. One girl tried to fix the computer for twenty min just to have the credit card machine break. She seemed nice enough and apologized however the other two never left the back room. One girl was cutting a kids hair and the other was sitting there talking to her. Place is a complete joke. To be fair I can not speak to how good their hair cuts are just simply based on the fact I do not have two hours to sit there and wait. Which is too bad because the inside looks great and the spot is perfectly placed. Stay away or waste your time in the waiting lobby.

Sub par cut, nice concept and theme. I enjoy sportscenter and would prefer to watch it instead of have small talk. The person who cut my hair was not the least bit skilled. Did not blend or trim around the ears.

This is a man-focused hair salon chain. The concept is it’s supposed to look like a locker room, and they play sports constantly on the numerous flat panel TVs. If you get your hair cut midday during the week like me this means you get to watch SportsCenter or yesterday’s Yankees game playback, but that’s fine — I do appreciate the effort. I’ve always liked to have my hair cut by a barber, but as they are ever harder to find around here, I’ve had to try elsewhere. The good news is they do a decent job here. Because Sports Clips focuses on men, you’re not likely to get butchered here as you might(and I have) at a normal unisex type place. The stylists have generally been friendly and professional, though I’ve noticed after some 5 – 6 trips that you rarely see anyone twice so it’s tough to have a regular person. However, you’re not getting a highly skilled barber quality cut either. So no razor on the back of your neck. More importantly, they do very little blending/fading on the sides: so if you ask for a ‘3’ on the sides, they just use a 3 attachment with a little bit of blending up top. It looks unskilled and kind of cheap. In my experience, a good barber will automatically trim the bottoms around the ears(including the sideburns) even shorter. This makes a huge difference to me, because if you don’t do this, within 10 – 12 days my hair can start looking sloppy with growth right above the ears and in the sideburns. Also, despite having about 7 – 8 chairs, there’s rarely more than 2 stylists working at a time, and they are also entering customers into the computer and sweeping between every customer. So waits of 15 – 25 minutes to get into a chair aren’t unusual even if it’s not that busy. $ 17 for a regular haircut, with discounts sometimes available through a rewards program or if you do a post-service survey(discount on next cut).
