I’ll level with you: I’m terrified of dentists. Once upon a time, I needed gas just to get through a cleaning. And of course, if you’re terrified of dentists, you tend not to go, which means you only show up with your teeth are hurting… It’s a bad cycle. Coming here about seven years ago helped break that cycle. Though the dentist I used to see is no longer with the practice, I’ve seen Dr. Concepcion for what I’m guessing is about five years. If you’re a chicken, this is the place to be, and she’s the dentist to see. The office has monitors above most of the chairs, and they’ll play music or stream Hulu if you want. There’s one«special» room which has a weird back massaging chair, along with the monitor. I wasn’t really in to it, but it’s an option. And, there’s a really nice play area for younger kids. In the years I’ve been going, I’ve never once felt as though I was being pushed in to a procedure I didn’t need. In fact, when I’ve been open to buying things like custom-made mouthguards, I’ve been directed to over-the-counter items that cost far less. Despite numerous insurance changes, I’ve never once had a billing problem, which is pretty amazing for the number of times I’ve been there. And I’m not the sort of person who wants to start the day off with a visit to the dentist, so their late appointments(as late as 6:20, I believe) are also very nice. And if you give them permission, they’ll send you text messages when you have an upcoming appointment, which I found INCREDIBLY helpful when scheduling a cleaning that’s six months out. The only downside(and I’m betting this affects very few people) is that to-date, they don’t do in-house crowns. So if you need a crown, you have to go around with a temporary crown for a couple of weeks. There’s another dentist in town who does crowns on the spot, but I had a bad experience there, so I wouldn’t recommend going there.(It’s been too long since I’ve been to that dentist to write a separate negative review.)
