I have been a patient of Dr. Coppola since 2006, and have been self-paid the whole time. I always wondered why my charges were so expensive, but for 10 years I always paid out of pocket, in full for whatever was needed to get done. Over time, there were a couple of questionable fillings and charges but I assumed I was getting the right treatment and properly charged. Recently, I visited in November 2015 for a cleaning and found out I needed two fillings on #15 and #16 upper left. Upon making my appointment for the work, I was informed they were going to charge me $ 531 for two fillings! I have never paid so much money for two fillings before… so I asked why, but their answer was not reasonable or satisfactory. So I let them know I would not be making an appointment for the work. A few days later, the Receptionist called back stating they just approved a new«in-house insurance plan» for which I was eligible however, it too was ridiculously expensive again! So I made an appointment at another dental practice and found out during my visit that I only needed one filling on the surface(turned out to be much smaller than what Dr. Coppola previously wanted to charge me for). In the end, I only had to pay my new dentist $ 175 for what Dr. Coppola was going to charge $ 531…I feel they were dishonest and I did let her know I would never be returning and very unhappy!
