Originally I choose to stay at this campground because it was 8 miles from my friends’ home and it would be easy to move there and back. It’s a nice little campground with a small pond for kids, a playground, and hayride. I’ve stayed at many private campgrounds in the area with some seasonal lots, but this is the first campground where EVERYONE was friendly — seasonal, weekenders, employees, etc. The washrooms, although dated, were kept very clean. I didn’t feel freaked out by spiders in the rafters, excessive dirt in the showers etc(although I kept my flip flops on as I always do in a public shower). I didn’t visit the camped store or the game room so I can’t comment on them. My husband and I did think that something should be done to decrease the mosquito population. The only negative is the size of the campsites. Some are very slender and you feel as if you can touch the neighbors on both sides. Overall, it was a good experience, friendly and felt as if we drove for hours up north, instead of 30 minutes west of home. We will be camping there again over Labor Day weekend.
