Since our initial visit we have taken nearly all of our livestock to this facility for processing. We were given a full tour after picking up one of our hogs that Dunbar did a quick kill and clean on. Sometimes we like to dry cure our meats and do custom cutting at home. My daughter is a culinary student so it works out perfectly for us to do the rest of the processing at home. The tour was amazing! This is the cleanest facility I’ve been through. They really know how to manage the process efficiently and how to treat the animals right in their finally days. He explained why some beef is dried and how the sausages are created. The owner really knows his stuff. All of the meat we got back was packaged beautifully and their sausage and smoked meats were perfect. I only wish they processed poultry :(
