Billed as an Island Grill, my imagination wandered toward Poi and Tacos. Not. Even. Close. While there were margaritas and other«island» drinks, I didn’t even see a taco on the menu. The appetizers consisted of regular flavored things like buffalo wings and fried pickles. As we were on a fried pickle tour, guess what we ordered? The pickles were, eh’, served with a perfect chipolte ranch but unfortunately, were monster salty. We surmised that the«island» part of this restaurant was centered around the burgers which consisted of things like avocados and pico added to them. I ordered my spicy burger medium rare, I was later informed that it would be impossible to fulfill my request. I learned this was due to making their burgers out of frozen patties.(sad face) This spicy burger had a slice of pepper jack and some fried bottle caps(jalapenos), another southern thing. But, it lacked imagination and flavor. I hope if this place is a chain, they consider putting the island in island grill.
