I love the zucchini fries here. So I pulled in on a Tuesday night which happens to be a $ 2 quarter pounder night ! Yay bounce for me ! So because I was getting a great deal I had them throw in a shake. Yum. Peanut butter cup and banana of course ! This order ended up to be $ 10 ! not so great of a deal now that I think of it. Oh well now into the real reason 2 stars are not 5. Customer service is a big deal to me. I won’t go to places with bad customer service ! lord knows I’ve put in enough hours in the industry to know what’s good and bad . The dear sweet boy at the Window was only following the rules that he was instructed to follow. however this rule is ridiculous. As stated in other reviews the drive through is crazy it has a sharp turn. And only fits one car and it lets out into state street. In this section of state street there is a median so you can only turn right. Well the sweet boy said to me «can you please pull into the parking lot and we will take your food out to you .» We have all heard this a million times and we get mad but we all pull forward. But in the case of b and d burger you literally have to go around the block to get to the parking lot. you can only turn right onto state street and the parking lot is left from the drive-through. So I asked to clarify«you really want me to drive around the block for you to bring me a burger?» The cute guy said«yes please« I rudely said back«no thank you !» I will admit I was rude, because his request was, well, stupid. He then asked me to then“can you just pull forward. Because we need to get the second cars order .» I understand your on an timer but when you have a small no way out drive through that only turns away from your building and parking lot, your manager should know That and suck it up. So I answered«I will pull forward But I will still block the car behind me. It won’t do any good« I pulled forward anyway and waited a whole 2 more minutes not a huge deal other then the fact that I was sitting on the sidewalk/gutter with my suv because there was not enough room for 2 SUVs in the drive through. And almost got hit by 2 cars! 2 cars almost hit my car over zucchini fries ! And a timer ! I want to point out the food was fine. My shake came out to be bananas with peanuts not peanut butter cups but what can you do another complaint for another day! The employee was fine. The rule however is not customer servicely! Let’s think of the convenient for the customer but also the safety. 2 out of 5 stars because of stupid rules that are not safe ! B and D burgers I plead with you stop asking customers to pull forward or around to the parking lot ! I know a person or two that would not realize and turn left onto incoming traffic to get to your parking lot ! Not Safe!

Great little huger and shake place. Nothing over the top but way better than fast food. The shakes are pretty good and have real fruit. Super annoying that they charge for the fry sauce, even the first one with an order of fries? Price and quality are good

It took about 45 minutes to get a burger. The food was average, but I really liked the shake. I probably won’t be going back.

Takes a while for food but I was impressed. I had read reviews on here and was thinking it wouldn’t be good but it reminded me of crown burger. Funny that they sliced the avocado for my burger but then just put it whole on the top of my burger. Fry sauce was mostly mayonnaise and I had to make my own so I wouldn’t have to pay for more but I’d go again. Delicious strawberry banana shake! Mmmmm

Juicy burger, great shakes, yummy fries. The price came to more than I wanted to but I always like to support small businesses like this.

We walked over from the thai place next door because my mouth was on fire and i needed a shake. Pretty dingy place. We got a Mocha shake which was pretty flavorful and the peanut butter chocolate shake which was meh. Mix the two together and now your talking. Limited selections. Menu is similar to Crown Burgers but doubt the food matches there quality.

I’ve had my eye on this place for a while. I live close by and drive by it often. I am quite puzzled every time I drive by because it is greeks serving up American food. So, finally today I decided to give this place a try. From the outside it looks pretty run down so I was afraid of going in but the inside kind of looks the same. The fixtures are coming apart and this place is truly a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki burger combo after asking for suggestions. Plan on waiting around a while because my order was not ready for a while(there was only one person ahead of me). My meal came out to be $ 8, pretty standard. Food: Immediately I dipped into the fries and felt that they needed a lit bit more salt. They were average fries. Next up was the burger, which immediately I did not like at all. There was very little teriyaki sauce and it felt that I needed more sauce on it(teriyaki or bbq or something). The chicken was stringy and felt it was not cooked enough. It was lacking in taste, overall. I really wish the review could have been better but I was disappointed. Probably won’t come here again.

I came here for avocado burgers and fries. These are probably my favorite fries in the SLC area. It’s a little quiet but the good is really good.

Very delicious burger and shake, especially for the price. And the shakes are gigantic. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I don’t care how you measure it Greeks make the best American burgers. I love this place, for some reason it is not as good as the place up by the U but I don’t work by the U so I will have to make do. I usually get the bacon cheeseburger or the gyro but I try not to get the chicken souvlaki(a little dry). Get the bacon cheeseburger with pastrami on top, you’ll thank me after your heart attack trust me. The burgers are a little messy(like Jenny Washington’s kisses in the sixth grade, do not lick my face Jenny how am I supposed to be romantic and give you my favorite Hot Wheels car if I am trying to wipe saliva off my face because you saw it in a movie on a scrambled channel and you thought it was they way you were supposed to kiss) Avoid the fries and substitute it for a corndog. The fact they charge extra for fry sauce is a travesty. A TRAVESTY I SAY! Fry sauce is the best thing to come out of Utah since I came here. You don’t charge for pushing polygamy or stupid liquor laws on me do not charge for the damn fry sauce.

I’ve only ever been through the drive thru which is beyond slow. Food is pretty average for a small shack but fries are great. They are very stingy on their sauces and charge for everything! They often mess up orders through drive thru too. Kids meals have no toy or treat & are pricey. They overcharge for their quality of food overall, in my opinion.

My past review is turning 3-years-old in a couple of days, so it’s probably time for an update. And, unfortunately, it’s not an upgrade or a positive update… Upgrate? When I go to B & D burgers or any other«fresh» burger joint, I expect to pay more than I would at your typical fast food«we proudly serve 10% beef-in-our-burger-patties» joints. But I also expect a huge jump in quality, flavor, freshness, etc. in exchange for my hard-earned cheddar. On my most recent visit, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. My bill came to nearly $ 9, with no drink. Spendy, but probably worth it, right? Wrong! This burger was virtually flavorless. There was no detectable seasoning on the patty and the sauce was nearly non-existent and didn’t add much taste. The oil in their fryers was in dire need of a change-out 3 years ago. Now, the onion rings taste like the grease is just 3 years older. They were NOTGOOD! Sorry B & D, but I’m done giving you any more chances or any more money.

This is a «greasy spoon”-type restaurant along State Street. The fries are quite good, if not a little dry. The shakes are very good, though I’m curious as to what they make them with(real milk and ice cream?). Although I’ve seen a B & D employee wiping down the tables and chairs on previous visits, most of the time I look carefully where I’m sitting. The tables and seats are not kept as clean as I’d like. The floor feels waxy and unclean. The overall condition looks somewhat unkempt. Not a bad place to go if you’re in the mood for some greasy eats, but they could stand to make it feel more clean.

Blink and you’ll miss it. I mean, it’s not so much that it’s tiny(it is) or that it doesn’t have much flashy signage(it doesn’t) or that it’s in an unsuspecting part of State Street(it is). It’s really a combo of all three. Located on the corner of 7800 S. and State Street in Midvale for who knows how many years, B & D just keeps busy enough to keep cranking out the burgers, Greek plates, corn dogs, and other menu items from its tiny little kitchen. You have to enter from 7800, and there’s a small parking lot with room for less than a dozen cars. There’s also a drive-thru with tight curves. Today I saw someone getting out of their car in the drive thru. Why, I do not know. But I was surprised that there was enough room to open the car door in the alley of a drive-thru. Skeeeeeny. B&D has a few menu items to surprise you. Fried zucchini, Greek plates, and dogs. But there are some that should come as no surprise at all. Big beefy burgers with that distinctive«not from a fast food joint» taste. And of course, shakes. Oh, the shakes. It’s one size fits all here, and that size is pretty tall. I once again ordered the chocolate banana version, and the extra add-in brought me almost $ 4.50. I have to say I was really impressed with the shake. I mean, the neon sign they do have in the front says«Thick Shakes, Malts» so you know they take it seriously. But this shake was the gift that kept on giving. The first third was a little blonder than I usually prefer. And although there was nothing melty about it, it was light and fluffy with the teeniest of chunks of banana. The next third was the chocolate zone, and where the shake hit perfection. Chocolatey. Thick but not dense. With a little band of chocolate syrup in it. The bottom third had a larger chunk or two of banana and a thick, solid base of softserve. I had originally intended on making my order to-go, but decided to hang out on the red booths and watch a bit of football on the screen hung on the wall. It’s an odd mix of clientele, but everyone there appreciates the difference in the food. And everyone orders a shake.

I like B & D. The one close to the U as well as this one in Midvale has served me well over the years. I don’t go to B & D for their burgers. Nothing personal against B & D but I just don’t get along well with burgers of a particular kind. So it’s usually the chicken kabob, chicken gyro, or the lemon chicken plate for me over here. I enjoy them all. They take a while to prepare the kabobs. So if you can’t wait, don’t order them. I also like their fries. The shakes are huge. Since I can never finish them these days, I don’t order them anymore. Parking can be a pain at this location as well. Especially, when the drive-thru lane is backed up, getting in and out of the lot can take a while. But four stars for being a nice, little lunch spot that consistently serves good food.

The burger was thin and dry, the onion rings were from frozen and were served at room temperature, and the fry sauce was just ketchup and mayonnaise. From the way the place looked from the outside, I thought I found my kind of burger joint — a small ma and pa, flavor before health, quality before quantity, old-fashioned burger place; there was even something on the sign about shakes and malts! When I ordered, I forgot to ask for it «medium rare,» but I thought, «a place like this knows how to cook a burger.» The burger I got had a patty that was smashed down to less that a quarter-inch thick, was charred a little on the outside(that’s a good thing), but was well-done and dry on the inside(though there’s not much inside on a quarter-inch-thick burger). The onion rings were those kind they sell at fast food places, from frozen. That’s not what I expect from even a decent ma and pa burger place. Though I could stand to eat that kind, I couldn’t eat more than two of these, because they weren’t even hot. I don’t know how they pulled that off. Maybe they were sitting around waiting for the burger to get well-done. When I let them know, they offered to heat them up for me. If you’ve ever tried to put a deep fried food back in the deep fryer to heat it back up, then you know it doesn’t come out well. Lastly, I’m new to Utah so this«fry sauce» concept is new to me, but I’ve had a couple at other places’ sauces and have enjoyed them. Serving ketchup and mayonnaise as «fry sauce» is dishonest in my book, and it didn’t cut it to try to rescue my lousy onion rings. I doubt this place ever gets a customer to come back a second time.

I am writing for the place on 1300 East and 200 South. You will find me here on Tuesdays as this is dollar burger day. And burgers at this place for 1.00 is a bargain! They also have great fries and fry sauce! This is really a great place for lunch to supply you with calories and a full stomach that will put you into a coma for the afternoon. Enjoy!
