I love Tom’s Diner great food with Gomez as the cook, the soups are home made and great. They have a great variety and Gomez will cook just about anything you request. I love the Video Gaming-Slots and win a lot. It is all American food with touches of Mexican and Filipino. I come here almost every day.

Really disappointed. We had our hopes up because we liked the Mexican food when it was Tony’s… So overpriced for what you get. Husband got their Thursday special: steak fajitas… he said they were like shoe leather and tasteless… I had heard so many positive things about their burgers so I got the Hawaiian burger. It was charred dry… the sandwich itself was big, with a lot stacked on it, but the patty was very small and tasteless. One positive… it was hand shaped, not a preformed patty. Their menu is really limited, which is surprising since they were just closed for a ‘menu revamp”. We won’t be back, and its a shame since it is a neighborhood place… the prices are insane and the food just honestly isn’t worth it.

When this place first opened I would have given it a five star review. We went there all the time but it closed down for a month and reopened and had a new menu very disappointing all the Asian food and Italian food is off the menu at least they kept the Mexican food but that was disappointing this time. The steak in the steak tacos was all dried out. Wish they would have left the menu alone. I liked the fact that they were different and now they are a hot dog and burger place which is not different for midlothian

I find Tom’s Diner to be a great place to go. They have great food, and do not get upset if I ask for a special order, or whatever it might be. My favorite visit was a few months back when my brother wanted us to go to a nearby sports bar. I asked him to try Tom’s, to which he agreed, but added that we couldn’t stay long because of the game. There weren’t many others in there, and my brother saw their big screen TVs, they have beer, and margaritas — for me! When his meal arrived, his eyes got really big, and he said, «This food is great! Why isn’t this place packed? It’s because they don’t advertise!» We spoke with the manager, and he gave them all sorts of ideas and suggestions, and they actually listened. We wish them well.

My first time in and I was not overly impressed. Positive: Clean Bright Wide selection OK: Service Pizza Burger — Average Soup Not so positive: French Fries smelled like corn tortilla(same oil issue is my best guess) Will try once more, but nothing to write home about at this point.

Great food and great atmosphere. We all ordered Mexican food and it was great. My only complaint is I had a ground beef taco and the meat was a little too well done. There was char marks in it but otherwise tasted good. Quick service and very friendly. I would go back for sure.

I’m Filipina and I was excited that there was a Filipino restaurant nearby. But I am super disappointed. I didn’t like anything. Ordered the Batchoy. It’s ok. Hubby didn’t like it either. Only chicken they have is all dark meat. Very cheap quality everything. The rice is gross. Instead of yummy Filipino garlic fried rice, it’s icky with nori on top, tastes seafoody-ish in a bad way. And it’s expensive here! For 7 tiny shanghai eggrolls, the typical, tiny 2 ½″ pieces… it was $ 6.99. Seriously?! And they taste like the regular old, you can find them in the Oriental Store frozen kind. All in all, boo. 0 stars. Spent $ 40 with a heavy heart of regret and still hungry! Needing to eat when I get home because I didn’t like anything.

Yay!!! So happy my dad and I can get our la paz batchoy fix here… we don’t have to travel to the northside anymore for this tasty dish. My dad is Ilongo so it’s Ilongo approved! Also, the pork barbeque dinner is great too… the marinade is perfect… t’s served with goto, rice, 2 egg rolls, and fruit salad. We met one of the owners and she was very welcoming and was kind to conversate with us. The waiters are friendly. I’m looking forward to coming again and will bring my friends next time. Also, Halo-Hallo is amazing!

Fettuccine Alfredo with Vienna Bread and La Paz Batchoy are both excellent cuisines. The diner has a nice and cozy environment. Great for families or group gatherings.

Food is absolutely amazing! We love the steak tacos. They are very tasty and tender. The staff is always so friendly and appreciative of your business. They also have fantastic breakfast. If you haven’t tried it yet be sure to wait no longer. Great neighborhood restaurant. Beautiful interior also.
