My husband and I used Boneyard’s catering service for our housewarming party. The owner and chef were creative and professional during the consultation, and willing to work within our budget. The quality of everything we ordered was spectacular. Everything was a hit with the crowd especially the shrimp/​sausage balls rolled in toasted pecans, ginger beef satay w/​peanut sauce, crab dip, curry chicken/​shrimp dill salads in phyllo cups. The endives with bacon jam were gorgeous and delicious. Because my father owns a catering company, I have very high expectations from caterers, and The Boneyard exceeded them. And even my dad was impressed with the spread at our party. I’d strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and creative caterer.

Stopped by this butcher shop twice. Once to fill my growler and once for some steaks. The prices are fairly competitive and I wanted some petite filet mignons for a dinner party. The butcher prepared eight filet mignons each 4 – 6 oz cuts and cost was about $ 65. The filets were close to the best I have ever had! If I want a top notch filet in the future this will be my first stop. If you are looking for cheap meat, don’t go here. If you want to impress your guests-​this is your place. Also, military discounts on Mondays.

I went in right after they opened and got a great rib eye. Been back a couple other times and it has gone down hill. Saw a brown filet in the case and the steaks that I purchased were no better than Martins except the cut is thicker and cost $ 8 more a pound.
I would guess business has gone down since they first opened as the price is not worth the quality beef that you are getting.

I called BB several days ago to place a special order for seafood. He told me no problem. Pick up Saturday morning. At 5:30 on Friday night, he calls to tell me «bad news. Your special order didn’t come in. sorry.» As a neighborhood butcher, I expected he would have solved the problem for me. Not the case. I thought this was taken care of and checked it off my to do list days ago and had to stop and call all the other markets in town at the last minute. Luckily PT Hastings had what we needed and so did Yellow Umbrella. Will not waste my time with BB again.

We have been here twice and both times we left feeling just ok but not wowed. The selection is decent for the size of the establishment and all of the employees are very nice. We tend to eat more chicken and seafood so it would be great to see even more local options for those.
Also, i would love to see them price all fish the same way. Most fish there is per pound but then other more expensive fish may be per piece which can cause confusion.
In the end I didn’t notice a great difference from the selection here versus other options on Hull and will probably stick to purchasing from the SOJ farmers market.

Stopped in for a Memorial Day grill out. Got a few rib eyes and some bratwurst. They were both fantastic. So good I went back the next day for some seafood and a few hotdogs for the kids.

Have stopped in three times so far… great steaks, burgers and fish. Really liked the rockfish and great scallops. They will also order whatever you want with about 48 hours notice. Looking forward to getting some New England steamers from them!
