Can you please update this listing? Your store closes at 9pm Monday thru Sunday. Came by this evening at 8.55. Your door was still unlocked and your open sign was still on. Opened the door and you said you were closed. Piss poor customer service.

Love this place. It closes for the winter season in two week so grab some buckets to go. My kids all love the custards. I love the sugar free ices. There really is something for everyone. Don’t let the long lines fool you. They go rather quickly.

I honestly do not know what there is to complain about this place. They have delicious & fresh products, I’ve never gotten anything that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed, and it’s always immaculately clean. The employees are courteous & assiduous. They’re always working on something whenever I come in but they always happily assist me! They’re very conscientious about food allergies & children with special needs, being my son is autistic and has many food allergies, that is very important to my family & myself. I love coming to Rita’s it’s a great place for families to enjoy some time together over great treats.

I love Rita’s, and this Rita’s especially! Every time I come in the employees are friendly and helpful! And the store is perfectly clean. They employees greet you, offer you samples, make great recommendations, and take your order accurately. I love the atmosphere, all the promotions they do($ 2 Tuesdays), their involvement in the community(giving coupons to the county bus drivers to give to the kids on their buses) and their dedication to charity! They don’t have a tip jar, instead they collect money for charities; Savanna Smiles(a local 2nd grader with leukemia), Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and local animal shelters. Rita’s is a great place to share some delicious treats with family & friends, there’s truly something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping by on the hot summer nights :)

Why is there NOT a Ritas in RVA!!! Move over fro-yo, the italian ice is back in business! 99% of the time I get frozen custard, italian ice, and then more frozen custard to top off my cup, but this time I straight up got a cone twist of just frozen custard of chocolate and vanilla. For under three dollars, you get a pretty good amount. Although the flavors weren’t as accentuated as I would have liked, I still enjoyed my frozen treat because it wasn’t as sweet as say traditional ice cream. Ritas is especially known for their italian ice so I’ll stick to that next time for sure. The service is average, nothing to really note; most locations are run by high schoolers so you get a good idea of what kind of service to expect. They also have cream ice, Sundaes, Gelatis, and Milkshakes too if Italian ice really isn’t your thing. Rita’s is the PERFECT place to hit up on a hot and humid summer Virginia Day.

Yummy ice with custard. Custard very thick an creamy! Good value for the money. 3 reg size under $ 9. Can’t get put of dairy queens for less that $ 15. Ice flavors are both sweet and tart options!

Slushy and Frozen yogurt, I had never heard of this before. The flavors are very good and when I visited in August they had a cantaloupe that tasted like it was fresh from the garden.

high quality ice and custard, with plenty of choices wnd combos Their orange cream combo custard was excellent. A bit expensive if you don’t have a coupon, which are fairly easy to come by in Entertainment book, and mailers.

Growing up in NJ, there’s nothing you looked forward to more than the first day of Spring and your free Rita’s Water Ice. If you haven’t had water ice before, it’s fine that a slushy, but thicker — something you have to eat with a spoon, but not at hard as the«Italian Ice» that you’d find in the freezer section of your grocer. Rita’s is always a stand out because they actually use the fresh product in their ice! So maybe not in the more wild flavors like swedish fish, sour patch kids red, and peep flavor. But the black cherry, strawberry, lemon, cherry all have fresh chunks of fruit and are super flavorful! This year they got rid of my favorite mix-in for the blendi’s(pretzels! love the salty with the sweet), but the gelati’s and mistos are a great alternative to the plain ice if you’re looking for something to mix it up. My personal favorites are the vanilla and strawberry ice. The vanilla tastes like fresh vanilla extract smells and has a light brown hue, and the strawberry is usually so full of fresh chunks of food, it’s hard to argue that it doesn’t have a real flavor to it. However, don’t miss the seasonal flavors! This fall has caramel apple and pumpkin pie!

I know there may not be many options in the area, but this place can’t hold a candle to Ray’s up around the West End. The water ice is good, but the custard is lacking and options are limited. You don’t get much for your money here. I would love to see some concrete type options like Ray’s, DQ(blizzard), or Sonic(whatever its called). When I asked the staff if they had something like this, they looked at me like I was crazy. May try again at some time, but if the experience is the same as last time I won’t be back again.

The best Italian Ice around — try their watermelon flavor when it is in season. Yum! Second runner up for best flavor — Alex’s Lemonade.
