What a great gem Penny’s Home Center is! We found this based on other Unilocal reviews and weren’t sure what we were going to find when pulling up to the building located on Hull Street. Inside were amazing pieces of furniture. I immediately settled on a Vaughan-​Bassett bedroom set at an AMAZING price. Seriously, we couldn’t find anything close to that set. It’s cedar wood, made locally — great quality! $ 95 delivery/​set up fee, or pick up from the store for no charge. All upholstery can be selected at no additional cost. Can’t say enough great things!

This place was a great find. After being disappointed with the larger chains, I happened upon Penny’s Home Center. The place is small but it has a nice selection of furniture. They can also order from catalogs of furniture manufacturers. The furniture is reasonably priced and the service was great. They offer assistance but they don’t follow you through the store. I ordered a sofa and chair. It was delivered very promptly. I will definitely shop here again.

This place is great, first of all because of the prices… unbeatable in RVA, and because no one stalks you all over the store. Most of their furniture is made in VA, which means jobs for Americans and the quality is amazing. We have purchased many pieces here and after driving to every major furniture store in RVA (including Haynes, Ashley, Value City, and Room Store) we realized that no one else can beat the selection, service, and prices at Penny’s Home Center.

Alright I don’t have a huge review for this place, other than its awesome, if you don’t mind the driver which should not be that big of a deal seeing that they deliver but, Pennys Home Center, if anyone has seen my scathing review of Haynes you will know I at this point no more about furniture than anyone probably cares to. So anyways, this place has great stuff that is reasonably priced and tons of great storage pieces. I purchased a table, a couch and a TV stand recently and I love them, the quality is out standing. So give them a shot
