This medical office is located in an area of several colleges and universities. Their ad claims to accept the insurance company under which I was insured while a student in Michigan through the college insurance plan. When I provided the insurance details at the office visit, I believed the charges to be covered by the insurance. Little did I know that they would quickly turn this over to collection without contacting me. Very unprofessional. This is particularly bad for students who graduate to have a collection on their credit report.
These ruthless tactics are the reason that the FTC and Government Consumer Protection Groups are changing the way that alleged debts are reported.
In medicine, physicians take an oath of «Do No Harm»… This office does not abide by that oath.
