Comfort Suites

Hello I stayed at this hotel in Midland comfort inn and I stayed there before with my son and I’ve checked in before at 3:30 AM Saturday early morning and they would let me stay until Sunday and before I traveled there I called them at 4 PM and spoke with a gentleman and he said that they could do that again then when I checked in at 3:30 AM a different gentleman also said that I can do that when I woke up I went to the front desk to doublecheck again in the front desk lady said the manager is not in yet but most likely 100% she will tell me I need to leave by check out time and I cannot stay until Sunday I said to her when does the manager come in she said she doesn’t know and I said well I’m not going to pay for another night because you guys have done this for me before and two people have already confirmed that I can stay and then she said she did look up if they have given that to me before and she said yes that they have and I said well then why is that a problem now if you guys already done it for me before of course she said I will have to talk to the manager but the managers not there and it is going to be 9:30 AM. I am very disappointed because everywhere I have traveled comfort inn has always been my first choice not anymore!!! I’ve contacted corporate and they said they will be resolving this by monday!

Midland is expensive even after oil prices dropped, so this has nothing to do with price. Rubber eggs, hot water off, delivery driver banging around outside at 4:00am. I’ve stayed here a dozen nights – love the staff. It really amounts to the owners no wanting to spend a little more on the food and maintenance.

Very nice place rooms are clean and big. Beds are comfortable and staff is very friendly!!!

Not happy. I found out today, 3 days later, that the hotel has 3 pending charges on my card still, over $ 500 worth. They did make the refund as promised of $ 30. But it took them 2 charges and 2 refunds to fix that. And now still have the 3 pending charges. I am waiting on management to call me back tomorrow about fixing it.

I’ve never stayed at a Comfort Suites before this one and wowzers did they set the bar high! Keep in mind, Midland, TX is a bustling place for the oil industry. This not only drives the rates up for the hotels steeply (ex 2 star motels charging over $ 150 a night) but seems to raise the quality a great deal.
Our goal had been to get to Las Cruces that night, however scarily high winds in western Texas forced us to stop early. Word to the wise — when pulling a trailer cross county, invest in a sway bar. We never heard of one until we had already started our trip. What a missed sale for the business that sold us the trailer. But I digress…
I called many hotels in Midland as we approached on this Wednesday night and they were all without vacancies. Shocked and exhausted, I was elated to find Comfort Suites could take us at a decent rate.
We were greeted by the sweetest young man who was genuinely disappointed we had missed the hotel’s happy hour. As we loaded the luggage cart, he gave us two Blue Moon beers to take to our room. Yaaaaas!
We entered our suite and were blown away. It smelled fantastic, everything looked new and upscale, and the suite was designed beautifully. The bed was perfect and we were presented with a choice of harder pillows or softer ones. It was my best sleep of the entire trip.
Breakfast the next morning (included) was incredible. Choice of strawberry or plain waffle batter, fresh fruit toppings, hot & steamy breakfast potatoes, toast, eggs (for those that eat that… not me), cereals, pastries, you name it! I filled my plate with bananas, oranges, grapes, strawberries, half a waffle and potatoes and chatted with a few oil executives who had come down for breakfast as well.
By the time we packed up and left, we felt quite refreshed and recharged. The ladies at the front desk were super helpful getting us set up as rewards members and were equally as friendly as the man the night before.
What an amazing experience! If only all the Comfort Suits were as stellar as this one.

After calling numerous places in Midland, this was the only hotel that would accept the state rate in this area. The hotel is located in a very nice area, nice enough that I feel comfortable running before dawn. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful… my room had a missing remote and they spent an hour trying to program me a new one. Free happy hour Monday — Thursday from 5−7…you get two free tickets when you check in and there are chips and dip in the breakfast area. When you walk in there are also fresh cookies, pink lemonade, and a Keurig with a variety of coffee and tea choices waiting for you. The rooms are clean and nice and the bed is comfortable. Each room has a pull-​out couch. Definitely recommend this place if ever in the area and needing a place to stay.

Thanks Sukhmandr and all the nice staff. You made our stay easy and comfortable. The Texas waffles, fresh fruit, and open source business center were seconded only by the relatively quiet accommodations and clean bathroom.
Stay at Comfort Suites and save your family the stress of putting you up.
The only regret is that I can’t get some good curry, naan and a beer down the hall from my room. =)
