Came here for thr burger challenge with Rhode Island food fights. Nothing special about this place. It was a bunch of older male regulars. The food was subpar, we ordered the calamari because it was $ 5. It tasted fishy. I was too far from home to take a chance on being sick the boyfriend ate the rest. The burgers were not cooked to specifications and came with unbagged bag chips. Not appetizing. The beer was excellent though. They had redhook longhammer esb on tap.

Good food, good atmosphere. Lots of regulars. Not sure what others said about the kitchen closing early, I went in at 5:00 and ordered food no problem. Food and beer were big portions and reasonably priced.

Kitchen keeps strange hours, so load up on free popcorn and peanuts. Service was quick enough and friendly. You could tell they have regulars by the bartender opening beers when she sees people walk in, so that’s nice. Lots of TVs, 2 pool tables, 2 dart boards. We went because it was in walking distance to home. Definitely an older crowd, so I’m not sure we’ll be back if they don’t have Sunday Ticket.

Its a local bar and not a place I would recommend for food or drinks. I stopped here with my wife around 5pm to have dinner. We didn’t have any expectations and knew it was a bar so it’s not like we expected anything spectacular. A previous reviewer described the layout and that hasn’t changed. We sat in the front where the high tables and chairs are at. Tables were all cleared but still had crumbs. There were maybe four customers at the bar. Well we sat and looked at the menu and about 5 minutes after we initially entered an employee told us sorry the kitchen was closed at 4pm. They had games on and people in there but whatever. Bottom line is that you are much better off going to a franchise restaurant or any of the other local places.

As previous review states layout. Super friendly staff, plenty of TV’s to watch the local games on,(no NFL ticket), beer is cold with free p/nuts and pop corn. Food is higher than expected. I went with buffalo strips, fries, and a Sam Adams = $ 20.

I stopped at Scotty’s Big Dawg’s Pub after work for a beer and to consider grabbing dinner. Scotty’s is basically sports/dive bar with a large circular center bar and a pool table and other games in the back towards the kitchen. There is a small area in front There are plenty of TVs and seats at the bar. I decided to go with a Hot Dog and order of Chili Cheese Fries … you know, the healthy option. The hot dog was very big(as the name implies) and was pretty good. The portion and taste of cheese fries was just OK. The chili definitely could’ve had more spice to it. The bartenders and cook were friendly and talkative. Based on the above Scotty’s probably would’ve gotten 3 stars to start. However the pricing was more expensive than I’d expect from a sports bar. A beer was twice what I’d pay for one in Philly. Maybe they’re going for resort area pricing, but it’s not really in the resort area. Based on the cost I probably won’t be back.
