I went here on a LivingSocial deal and it really wasn’t a great experience. I will be honest and state that I went here in September of 2011, so I an only hope that they might have improved. My LivingSocial packet included: Facial, Steam Bath, Hydro Massage, & Tanning. I called ahead to make an appointment, which I found out when I got there that it wasn’t necessary. The woman working behind the counter was a bit too honest on how she felt about the place. The facial: She told me straight away that the facial was not anything that she would recommend. She said she isn’t sure why they call it a facial, it would just sitting there and cold steam going onto your face for 20 minutes. So, I didn’t do this one. The Steam Bath: It was really awkward and not what I had excepted. I suppose this leads to my ignorance of never being to a place like this before, but I wasn’t aware that it was one of those little tanning places until I actually got there — the Steam Bath — you have to lay in a tube which almost looks like an alien pod naked and your body is steamed. Oh, and it vibrates too. I was just waiting for the aliens to burst through the door. The Hydro Massage: Nope, this isn’t what you’re thinking either. I, of course, cannot tell you what it feels like because well — it was broken. From what I could tell it looked like a water bed that you lay on. Tanning: After being disappointed that I wouldn’t get to lay on their nifty waterbed, I was told that my skin was unsafe to tan. Okay, I’m know I’m pale. but there were no other options for me. She told me that I can«go head and lay in the bed,» but I can only lay there for 10 minutes max or it would damage my skin. So… since I only truly experienced ¼ of my livingsocial deal, I was«credited» to go back if I «wanted» to. I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’m sure this place is great for people who can actually tan — but I will think I will stick to being untan for a while.
