If you consider a trip to a great bookstore a treat, then you are in for one at Island Books. Wonderful staff, selection, and size. Friendly knowledgeable people in a store full of incredible reading material. What more could you ask for?

Great book selection. They have gifts too, notebooks, various chotchkies, but unlike some places they all seem carefully selected and there’s no junk. They don’t overcrowd the main attraction (the books) either!

Just discovered this place, and I love it! Good variety with some items that were unique and appropriate for my tastes. The gal that helped me was very friendly and offered a lot of extra information and assistance compared to other book stores. They had a great bargain table and all other prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Charming little local book store. Easy to miss off the main road, but worth the trip. Island Books stocks many of the same popular titles as Barnes and Noble, but with plenty of unique gems shelved in between. Staff is also charming and obviously thankful for your visit.

Please check this place out! It’s my total favorite! Sometimes it’s a little uncanny, because every time I go in there, I feel like every book looking at me was chosen precisely for my taste. I have a book list a mile long because of this place. It’s a smaller, independent bookstore, but the proprietor does an amazing job of stocking her shelves with excellent choices in all genres. The store itself is very neat with great organization and that wonderful smell of new books right when you walk in the door. They have a little mascot from time to time in the form of the owner’s dog, I think she’s a basset hound, and she’s very sweet. If you need time to figure out what you’re going to buy from the pile of books you’re undoubtedly going to collect in your meanderings, there are a couple comfy chairs in the back. She also has a book club that meets once a month.
