I’ve been going to fongs when it was in a truck at the park near Aetna. The food keeps getting better, if that’s possible. John and Stella are very pleasant and very talented. We will miss Fongs, but we wish you the very best for your retirement. For Gina c., it’s worth the trip to Smith St. The resturant is cozy, the food is great.

I’ve never had the food here but I called for delivery, I live in middletown near Xavier. When I gave the woman my address she said sorry we don’t deliver that far. What?! I have never heard of ANY place that doesn’t deliver within the town they are established in. Sorry Fongs but I don’t drive that far to give you any business.

It’s acceptable but nothing really stood out. Their hot and sour soup was a bit boring for my taste, but maybe my standards are too high. You could definitely do worse. I will have to try more entrees and update my review later

Great family-owned restaurant; very friendly and accomodating. Recommend the General Tso’s Chicken with brown rice.

Wish the WonTon soup noodles were firmer. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars.

solid food, cheap prices, no frills. restaurant hasn’t been updated or remodeled in ages, so dont expect any fancy décor. Best for take-out or lunch.

Round 1 was good for something different than I normally order. Now getting back to the basics. Gen Tso’s, spring rolls, pork fried rice, & gourmet dumplings… Dumplings were amazing! The rest was above average. I like this place. Happy to find my first Chinese place to like since moving from Chicago about 7 months ago

Fong’s is pretty surprising — the food is really much better than other chinese restaurants around and any time i have asked for them to make it a little different they have no problems — and being a picky vegetarian i am always asking for things prepared my own way. The staff here is super-nice and the service is always quick even when they are busy. The décor is pretty minimal, nothing fancy — just good food. The location isn’t really ideal if you dont live in the neighborhood there, its sort of out of the way and in a house — but if you are nearby and looking for great casual food definitely seek out Fong’s.

John and Stella continue to amaze ever since we moved to Middletown 5 years ago. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, spare ribs, bacon fried rice and 2 egg rolls. All I can say was the food was fresh and delicious. It always is. I’m not doing Fong’s any justice right now… If you’re in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and try them. Fong’s is also known for their fried chicken. I’m not kidding! Forget«the colonel» and its greasy mess.
