Danbarry Cinemas

Not a great cinema. Absolutely one of the older style. Plus, it seems dirty and rather dingy. Needs an update. Still high prices but without the amenities of a Rave, Regal or AMC theatre. I will most likely not return.

I was in town for business and had no plans one night. Decided to go to the movies. This place was so old, outdated and dirty I felt like a crack head squatting in an abandoned warehouse that happened to have a poor quality movie showing. This place may have been decent in the 80’s, but now it is just disgusting. Don’t go there!

This theatre although priced very well needs so much updating that it’s almost better just to spend a little more and go to Rave or AMC. So if you’re looking for a cheap movie this might be your place but if you want to have a great experience with nice seats, great sound, and beautiful picture than go elsewhere.

For those who’ve written a review saying that DanBarry doesn’t accept credit/​debit card for tickets, well we’ve been using it in the past months. I know this because I work there. Movie ticket prices are still the same. The managers have also updated the menu board. We now use TVs for the menu board, TV for movie tickets, and TVs for the different movie screens. Yes, the seats and floor may be sticky and old but we’ve repaired damaged things in the building.
We also don’t have bed bugs as they were rumored by AMC in West Chester. The place is looking good with great people to work with. Our popcorn is also popped every evening of the week except Sunday’s because we have bags of popcorn from the night before that needs to be emptied for our customers to buy.
As a worker in DanBarry Cinemas, I do have to point out that both men’s and women’s bathrooms are nasty places to visit. But the place is very affordable. I hope you enjoy your stay!

I agree with the reviews below, but give it a 5-​star and here’s why… PRICE If I want fantastic quality, perfect sound, cushy seats, then I go to Showcase or Rave. But if I want something I can afford, and maybe its just a regular movie (nothing spectacular like Lord of the Rings or Hunger Games) then I come here. Chick Flicks don’t need quality, nor amazing sound like Transformers. I also like how not a lot of people are here. The comment below about teens are true, theres not annoying kids here like up at Dayton Mall! This place is a hidden gem. Yeah it needs updating, but look at their price strategy, thats why. NOTE: They don’t take debit or credit card!!! Take cash, or use the ATM inside.

With a couple of much better choices in close driving distance, it doesn’t make sense to waste your money here. Poor picture sound and kinda run down

Better than most Danbarry theatres… Popcorn is far better than Rave but they could definitely use a little updating =)
Beware of showtimes… they say they start early during the week and even list show times but they do NOT have showings before 4:00!

I go to the Danbarry because its the closest movie theater to my house. Its an older theater but is in good condition. They only take cash for movie tickets but you can use a credit for edit card at the concession stand.

If you’re tired of long lines for popcorn, this place is great. If you’re sick of teen & preteen crowds being loud and obnoxious, this place is great.
Yeah, Rave and Showcase are nicer but not by much. Really the only problem with this place is an outdated lobby area. The theater screens and stadium seating is just as nice as any other larger theater.

The Wife and I wanted to catch a early show at 3:15 pm. We went up there at the time that it said the movie was playing and it said «Monday — Friday the first show time is 4:15 pm» I been going there on and off for 15 years. all and all its worth the drive to a better place.

Seems like th sound or something always goes out… or the picture is blurry. An older theater (I think built in 1983) and it shows. Take the drive up the interstate and go to a Showcase Cinemas.
