My buddy and I went for lunch. Very nice set up in a former bank. We both enjoyed their Gumbo(special for the day). Very reasonably priced and it was very good. Service was friendly. I’d go back there!

This place is your hometown, friendly restaurant that all the locals go to. It’s an amazing place. It’s cheap for the amount of food you get. The steaks are awesome, the crab cakes are to die for, and the service is great. Everyone is attentive and willing to help. I love everything in the menu. You can’t go wrong with you’re favorites. It is a hidden gem.

Quality traditional diner in central PA with a larger menu and food made to order. Very nice staff. Stop in if you are in the area and support small business.

Good comfort food. I had the honey dipped chicken. The cherry crumb pie w/vanilla ice cream was delicious. My next time here will be to try out their breakfast. Service was friendly and quick.

We were here for dinner and were seated upstairs. There is a large selection of food and it is reasonably priced. We ordered the dinner special of stuffed flounder — broiled. It was very good but was drenched in butter, puddles of it on the plate. The bread was served cold. Our service was fine even though it was quite busy. The atmosphere was like a diner or cafeteria with tables close together and fairly noisey. I think I would like to try breakfast here as most of the rave reviews are for breakfast.

I can’t say enough about the Brownstone. the food has never disappointed me, and it’s got to be some of the«homiest», most friendly service around.

We were in the area again and were very excited to give this place a visit. And yet again a 5 star experience. Piping hot food, all delicious. Customer service was good. If only we could have breakfast here every morning. Everything was spot on and so good.

Quaint location. Situated in an old bank. Seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Server came quick but was not what I’d call friendly. Started with the crab soup. Not a fan. Seemed to have a heavy mayo taste which I did not like. I ate about 4 bites. Next up I tried the tuna melt. It was pretty good. I probably would’ve got a different side than the chips had I known. Overall it was ok. Maybe breakfast is far more superior.

Love the atmosphere immediately as we entered. I dined alone with 2 toddler girls. My immediate impression was that the menu prices were so cheap! The kids meals were big for 2.99! My girls could have easily split a pancake and bacon plate. The pancakes were super tasty! They were fluffy and had lots of flavor. I ordered the eggs benedict which came with home does made with onions which was an option. I love onions in potatoes. They were on the softer overcooked side than crispy side the way I like them but they were not bad. The eggs benedict were doused in hollandaise. They had great flavor, just too much sauce. Great portions did the prices though. The coffee was decent. Would go back.

My «go-to» place for breakfast and dinner. Prices and portions are reasonable. I usually get the chicken and waffles, honey fried chicken, or the liver and onions. All are excellent.

The best fried chicken I’ve ever had. You know how you see commercials where they drop the chicken on the plate and it’s so crispy that it flakes off? That was this chicken. Hot and juicy and soooo crispy. I got the side of pickled beets, and they were also amazing. Definitely try this place
