Collective IQ of the 3 employees was approx 12. Product knowledge was poor. AT&T should be embarrassed… unreal in this hyper competitive business that such incompetency exists.

Wow. I hardly know where to begin. My wife had ATT&T u-verse in San Diego and had nothing but problems with it. We are in Ohio now and have Time Werner Cable(I am not happy with them at all). I called ATT&T to do some shopping around and see if they could give me a bundle with better service then TWC. Turns out they offer only phone service where I live but the rep tried to tell me they have a partnership with Dish or DirectTv for tv and internet. I told him I am only shopping around at this point. I already know that those satellite providers want a 24 month contract and I do not want to do that, that is why I didn’t go with them before. Well, about 2 hours later I get an email from ATT&T saying that my order confirmation is complete. I ordered nothing and explicitly told the rep that I was not setting anything up. I called after I got teh email and the lady tells me there is no account for me. She repeatedly checked looking up my name, email, phone and found nothing. Next day(today) I get another emailing while driving to the hospital to see my nephew’s first-born telling me my order is confirmed again. Turns out when I got home they sent a tech out to set up the phone line. My father-in-law was here doing some work and thought nothing of it. I read the email later and it said they were sending out a tech today to hook up installation. Wow! The awesome part of all this(sarcasm) is that they disconnected my current line with TWC to hook up their phone. Are you serious! Now they have to come back out and reconnect my old line. The lady from there today said they shouldn’t charge us for this but then they also told me that there was no account set up yesterday, and then they are here today hooking up a phone line because someone there set up an account. I would never do business with this company simply because of this experience. Unbelievable! I gave 1 star because none was not an option.

I’ve had ATT&T service for over a year and was due for an upgrade within 30 days of arriving at the location situated on Bald Hill Road, the one in the same plaza as the new frozen yogurt place and Trader Joes. This the first I went into an actual ATT&T location to handle my affairs and wow, what a sham it was! I asked the rep for an upgrade. He went through his computer, had some woman standing behind him to look at the screen and then she told me if I accepted their new product for a home phone line, i could get the upgrade for my phone. I was disgusted that they actually tried to get me to buy their products to give me a friggin upgrade. She actually told me I could buy the new Iphone for the full price and then oh well to my upgrade due in less than a month! OR i could accept their in-home product and try it for 60 days and she’d upgrade me right there. THATIS of course after they also do another credit check on me. What they didn’t konw was that I already knew from Radio Shack I could get the upgrade so I went back to Radio Shack. But I’m not done with that ATT&T location! I walked on her offer altogether and told her I was changing carriers when my contract was up: did she care? NOPE: she just shrugged and said – OK.I hope you all take note of this if you go into this location. ALSO if you deal with this sort of behavior from any AT&T location. You don’t get to make up the conditions as you go along based upon making the existing contracted customer purchase more of your products! I’m off to Verizon out of pure principle.

Apparently this store is not an «Authorized ATT Retailer» and wont honor ATT warranty on anything that was not purchased at this particular store. I found this out when trying to return a simple car charger. The guy in the store was so rude to me I was blown away. I ended up driving to the Fall River Store which is an Authorized ATT Retailer. They took care of me without question and I now run all my employee cell phone plans out of there. Stick to or authorized retailers only. The Middletown store is a joke at best.
