I ordered the steamed dumplings and vegetable lo mein. I thought both were very good for standard takeout Chinese. A friend ordered one of the curries and was surprised at how much onion was in there, but other than that it was all very tasty. I would go there again for takeout, on a Thursday night our huge order was ready in about 10 minutes. They said 10 minutes and it was ready in that amount of time. If you are going to use any of the coupons on the menu, tell them about it on the phone when you order. They weren’t prepared to honor the coupon when we paid because we didn’t tell them and they food wasn’t ready.

Hello, I stopped in for a late lunch(1pm) a month or so ago. Upon entering, the first thing I noted was the BADSMELL(an unidentifiable stink!). As it happens, I was the only customer at that time. Next negative was the annoying little kid running around the restaurant; he kept sticking his face in mine(yes, an inch away). Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy kids but this kid was out of control. His Mom, the waitress, chastised him, but that didn’t slow him down and he persisted in his behavior. Wontons in the soup had hardened(dry) corners; they must have been sitting out in the air for a long time before being dunked in the soup just before serving. Lunch was disappointing and bland. I won’t be back as there are much better dining options in town.

Great little take out place. This is my local go-to for Chinese/Japanese food. I go here at least weekly for lunch sometimes more. Very good food and the owners are really nice good people. They do have a decent dining area but I have only done take out. Finally someone in Middletown knows how to make good fried rice and not just serving yellow rice with onions.

Fantastic Thai food. That’s all I’ve had there and I keep going back. Favorites are the red curry chicken, basil chicken, and the steamed dumplings. Prompt, courteous service. Clean, and great prices. Especially their lunch deals.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in the area. We ordered via GrubHub and given a time approximately an hour from order time. Not bad! 35 minutes later they were at our house across town with our food. Their food isn’t overly greasy, has good flavor, and comes in large portions. While perhaps a little more expensive than we’re used to, it was worth it. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

Had dinner tonite with my wife & daughter. Everything we ordered was delicious. Thai red curry chicken, hibachi steak & shrimp for entrees. Highly recommend the vegetable spring rolls & duck spring rolls. Will definitely be back to explore more of their offerings.

The food was pretty standard fare, It tasted fresh, and had no hair. A wide array of different Asian options, Try it for yourself– Why not stop ‘yin? Asian Restaurant serves Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine, so it’s a great one-stop shop for your General Tso’s Chicken, a Rainbow Roll, and some Pad Thai if your family can’t decide what they want for dinner. The food was good, but not good enough for me to convert from my favorite Middletown Chinese restaurant which is closer to my home. I have gotten takeout for dinner a couple times and the dining room has been empty. There are plenty of tables and chairs, but not many people seem to eat-in for dinner. It does pull in a pretty decent lunch crowd since it’s close to a large office building and a number of other local businesses.

I am so relieved that I finally have a new go-to Chinese place in the Middletown Cromwell area! I ordered delivery from here multiple times already, and I can’t believe how fast it is! Even on New Years Eve, with a relatively large order, my food was delivered within 40 minutes of calling it in. The expansive menu offers so many different styles of food. The spring rolls were fresh snd crispy, made with a light wrap that flakes off beautifully when you take a bite. SOFETCH! I tried the Japanese style dumplings, both pan fried, and steamed. Delicious!!! A nice thin dough, with fresh vegetables inside snd amazing flavor. The veg lo mein is perfect. Plenty of veggies, an not overly salty… perfect! Szechuan chicken is also great, well seasoned with a kick of red pepper. I recently tried the red curry chicken, and although it didn’t quite meet my expectations for a true Thai restaurant, it was delicious! Snd Zi would certainly order it again. The Gen Tso Chicken(everyones favorite takeout item) was really good. It was clearly a house-made sauce that had the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. It wasn’t a sticky sugary mess like other restaurants in the area. Even the drunken noodles were addictively delicious! There are so many menu items I can’t wait to try! Everything was well prepared, and not overly greasy. I can’t rave enough about the place, they are so nice! Even the delivery guy is friendly, and told me how important it is to get food delivered to the customers quickly. A++ !!!

After receiving several recommendations from friends, we had lunch here the other day. The luncheon special is under $ 7 and you get soup, rice of your choice, and can chose from a selection of chinese or thai meals. Very good and just the right amount of food. The owners were very friendly and we will definitely be making a return visit.

I recently ordered take out from there and although I have had it before, I continue to he impressed with their food. Everything was quick and really spicy which I loved! The Thai curry basil soup was phenomenal! It was spicy with a hint of coconut and had fat plump shrimp in it. I am still thinking about it a day later and want to go back asap to order more! A few other dishes that we tried was the pad Thai beef — delicious! The lettuce wraps(not enough lettuce for the amount of chicken) and a shrimp scallop dish. All were super delicious and we like it super spicy but it wasn’t overbearing. Overall I can’t wait to come back and order more on the menu! It’s great!

This is my favorite Asian take-out in Middletown. They have some exciting items like Thai-chile basil dishes. The duck rolls are awesome and their traditional Chinese dishes are great. I would give 5 stars, except the food has not been consistent. Most items are usually great, but seems there is always something lacking– once the duck soup was terrible, fried rice has been sub-par on several occasions. I wish they would put the same great effort into all their dishes, always. Still, best place for take-out in Middletown.

Asian has amazing food! The people that work there are unbelievably friendly. The only complaint I have is that their portion sizes aren’t as big as I would expect them to be. In my family, whenever we get take out we order a bunch of things and have it family style or buffet style. However, I feel that the portion sizes at Asian aren’t big enough for that compared to other take out places Other than that they have quality food and the prices aren’t ridiculous. Plus their complementary iced tea is delicious and gives a homey feeling.

This place is a great deal. For very reasonable prices, you get a pretty good dish. Although it’s nothing fancy, they make fast deliveries and definitely have enough dishes to keep everyone in your group pleased. I highly recommend this place when people are craving some greasy Asian foods. I like the chicken with broccoli, lo mein, fried rice(any of them), tom yum soup, and more.

Shocked at how good this place was! I’ve driven by tons of times but was always a little concerned about the nondescript name and empty dining room, but I think they do a majority delivery/takeout business. Finally came in to pick up dinner on a cold night. The vegetarian menu is great! Lots of options. We ordered the sautéed bok choy in the clear sauce and vegetable lo mein. Both dishes were huge! It must have been 5 lbs of bok choy, and tasted fresh and light. The lo mein was also delicious, full of fresh veggies. Our spring rolls were very tasty as well, crispy but not greasy. We had tons leftover, so it was a great value, and the food was cooked quickly. Staff was very nice. So glad to finally have found a great Chinese place in Middletown!

Went on a very snowy Monday and we were the only table. Delivery man was very busy though. The restaurant was clean, servers were friendly and the dinner prices were very reasonable. Pork spring rolls were light and crispy and delicious. Ordered General Tso’s shrimp which was served with an abundance of broccoli. There was a choice of brown or white rice and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The only negative is that the sauce was overly sweet and clung to the plate like caramel as it cooled. They offer delivery, very fair prices and a menu that will bring me back again.

I’ve only been here once for take out, but I’ll be back again and again. When we heard that Asian Restaurant opened up, of course since I’m Asian, I had to check out their food. I decided to walk in and ordered to go. I ordered the Thai Basil Chow Fun with beef(number 62) and hubs got his white rice(as usual). There is a good variety of different Asian cuisines on their menu for those who are indecisive. It’s Heaven for me, lol. The staff is very friendly and professional. When paying for our food I was able to use the 10% off coupon on their take out menu. Pretty sweet. The chow fun was delicious. It was pretty spicy but went well with the dish. It might a bit too spicy for some people, but I loved it. I was surprised that there was so much noodles and meat in the take out container, with some veggies. The ratio of meat, noodles and veggies was perfect for me. I am looking forward to trying the rest of their dishes. The best part is that it is walking distance from the Russell Library. Convenient!

Not as good of an experience as I’d hoped for after reading the reviews. $ 40 of take-out, we asked for«Chicken Satay», which wasn’t on the menu, but is a regular Thai staple. We were charged $ 10 for a stir-fry that wasn’t even close to «satay». Don’t tell me you can make something, then fail. I’d rather you say you don’t have it, or can’t make it. Everything we got was bland, mango thai chicken, pad thai, even the spring rolls which took a swim in a deep fryer were bland. Just as bland as the name of this place. Eat elsewhere, don’t let the fresh new ikea décor fool you.
