Middlesex Texas Weiner

In the 35 years I have been living in the area, I hadn’t tried this awesome place! The food value is amazing. Friendly, but not fancy atmosphere! Himemade soups are always great. For $ 10.95 you get a very nice entre with soup and salad and ice cream! Staff is very friendly! Good food at a fair price and nice staff! Doesn’t get much better than that!

I’m a big fan. You can feed a family of 4 for $ 25. All the food is made with love, dogs are huge and flavorful, fries are the best in the area, fried baskets of clams and shrimp are boardwalk quality or better. Eat here.

This place is awesome. You go in, order, food is served in 5 minutes. It’s exactly what quick service and good food should be. So reasonably priced too!

Been back since this post. I try to give people two chances, regardless of how bad the first go was. Glad I went back! I was craving a turkey club. It was great. Fresh BACON. Fresh hot fries. This time around staff was attentive. Hopefully I’ll be back to add another star onto their belt. 3, for now, is a serious improvement.

Love this place it’s the go to for us locals!
The staff is very friendly and Tony will come out from behind the counter just to say «hello». It says a lot about the reason so many people go there to eat decent food at a decent price!
Stop in for a full meal or just a hot dog, you won’t be sorry.
Only one thing I think could be better is the rolls.

I love a good hot dog joint… and I’ve traveled all over NJ for hot dogs, but Texas Weiner in Middlesex was only a couple of miles from my house growing up in Piscataway. Luckily I was able to eat pretty good damn hot dogs here for most of my young life.
This storefront was actually a Hardee’s when I was really young, then was another dhady restaurant before becoming a bastion of cased meat when I was in high school. Here’s what I really love about this place… Texas Weiners, right? Check out their breakfast menu… get this– two eggs, home fries and toast for $ 2.95. Great breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes, the works. Better yet, lunch/​dinner is a pretty big menu considering this place is called Texas Weiner. I haven’t ever gotten past burgers or dogs here, but they do them well. I don’t know the owner, but he runs a great shop, makes great dogs, and has kept his prices down for decades. Can you ask more from a small business owner?
This place is worth a visit if you’re in the area. 4.5 stars, I just can’t push it into the same category as my favorite hot dog joints… very close though.

My husband and I went here when we first moved in and I am happy we did. Everyone was so friendly and we weren’t expecting much in terms of food but wow! It was great for the price and a wonderful experience. We keep going back as this place is a little gem in Middlesex and there aren’t many of those!

Only in New Jersey will you find a place like this. Unbeatable breakfast, and everything else off the grill is excellent.

From what I can remember in my childhood says of residing in the little town of Middlesex, this place was the shit. I’m assuming it still is the shit, but I haven’t been to Jersey since I was 17. I have to go back and see if it’s still as I remember.

this place rules!!! they have been in middlesex for as long as i can remember, and for as long as i can remember i have been loving their texas weiners! delish hot dog, spicy mustard, raw onions and a chili sauce with the right amount of spice! So great! i love to order mine with a side of crispy fries and thick creamy tzatziki sauce. My aunt loves the freshly ground hamburger meat and my mom always orders the gyro! whatever you get wash it down with an ice cold birch beer and you can’t go wrong!
