My whole family at the brisket at the time it tasted good. Everybody that ate the food got super sick. Our neighbors was there ordering while we was there so I called them to warn them. Too late they got sick also. This all happened over the summer when the owner was outta town.(that’s what the person there told us) we have not been back. I’m not writing this post to trash the place but just to make the owner aware what happened to my whole family

«Order what you want. Eat what you get.» Best hole-in-the wall type of place! This is why most of the neighborhood eats there every morning. From the moment you walk in, you know you won’t forget it. The cook and owner, John, greets you with a smile from behind the bar. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant and if you sit at the bar, which I recommend, conversation is bound to ensue. This place is great for breakfast! Bring your appetite because the portions are very generous. In addition to breakfast foods, «The Corner,» as locals call it, also serves fresh smoked ribs, pulled pork and brisket, but only on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and also in generous portions. If you get the pulled pork, I recommend having it fried so that it concentrates the smoky flavor. The smoked ribs: the meat is plentiful and falls right off the bone. I had to ask for half of a rack because I couldn’t handle the whole. The«Lumber Jack,» which hangs over the sides of the plate, is the largest pancake you can order, if you think you can handle it.

If you like smoked BBQ this is your place, its very good food, but just a bit heavy on the smoke for my taste
