have gone to both middlebury, southbury and brookfield locations. IMHO middlebury is the best… Southbury always seems to screw up the orders and the food quality is inconsistent. Southbury and Brookfield are newer and have best atmosphere. Middlebury has best staff, best food quality and consistency of food. Southbury 2.5 stars Brookfield 3.0 stars Middlebury 3.5 stars(giving four as i think that middlebury should be your default location

My friend and I came to the Middlebury location in hopes for a couple drinks and some appetizers. We were disappointed right from the beginning. We walked into the restaurant and waited for over 10 minutes before the hostess came from behind the kitchen to seat us. There were only a few people sitting at the bar and two tables of two people. So being busy was no excuse. When we finally were approached by the hostess with bright red/pink hair, I would have been pleased if she apologized for the wait or for just being enthusiastic, however she had an unfortunate attitude and wasn’t apologetic whatsoever. I come to this location many times and I have never experienced something like this before. I am disappointed and will definitely never forget this.

Not a bad place. The only negatives are the price and the service. The food itself has always been pretty good. I do notice some of the waiters and waitresses are really cocky. They think they are really funny and personable. Sometimes they come off as arrogant. But hey the place is packed all the time so they must be doing something right.

This joint is rock solid. Right of the highway. Great room. The menu has everything that you could ask for. A WHOLE page of whiskey! Prices are real easy. If you’re blowing through on the highway do this!

This place is great. Multiple levels, interesting décor, relaxing lighting. The food is served in large portions and is served hot and reasonably fast. The menu has a wide array of appetisers and centres. Excellent selection of brews, including some well chosen local craft beers.

I really wanted to love this place; from the moment you walk in the atmosphere feels very energetic. We called ahead but we still waited 20 minutes for a table, although this was a Saturday so it was understandable. I found it sorta strange that the only TV in the room we were seated in was tuned to Nickelodeon. There was probably one or two children in this room dining among other adults so I thought it was unnecessary — they’re definitely family friendly, though! We ordered buffalo wings for an app but were disappointed to bite into them and taste nothing but salt. The sauce would have been fine on it’s own but the wings were way over-salted. I had high hopes for my pretzel burger, which was good but not great. The fries on the side were sad. My Mom did like her french onion soup, but my Dad’s jambalaya was bland and he thought the base sauce was too much like marinara rather than jambalaya spicy. Our service was really good but it was a bit of a wait for the food. At least our waiter was super cute. Probably won’t be coming back though: it’s a bit of a drive for us and we unanimously decided it wasn’t worth it.

very large menu is what sets it apart from other places, food is par/sub par. The interior decoration is very nice, has a art deco feel.

This was suggested to me by my daughter who goes to Post University. I took her there and her roommate. Food was delicious and prices are reasonable. Service was okay once we were seated. We waited awhile to be seated because they were super busy. Maybe we had a waiter that was overwhelmed or tired but I plan to go back because the food is good. I had pasta and my daughter had ribs. I don’t remember what her friend got. On January 11 I went back with my daughter for lunch before I headed back to the airport. We were seated immediately and got our food right away. We had soup and then pasta and their clam chowder is delicious, as well as the butternut squash soup. I can honestly say this is my favorite place to go when I visit my daughter. I will definitely be going there each time I visit her.

If you’re looking for a nice quiet place for dinner, this is NOT the place. TVs are loud, bands after 9:00 on certain nights, music blaring everywhere, can’t enjoy myself one bit. Food is delicious and service is great too! I just wish there was a bit more quiet. Never experienced this at their Southbury location.

This is really great place! The service and food is terrific. The menu is quite extensive so I’m sure there is something to please everyone. I have to visit again more often to enjoy more items on the menu. And don’t forget to save room for dessert!

Not sure why anyone would give Maggie’s anything other than five stars. Love this place. Options are awesome and there’s always something for everyone. If you’re ever not sure where you wanna go, hit Maggie’s! Even spent the NYE here once with my wife!

This place is just awesome, not sure how else to sum it up. We’ve been here more times in the past 10 years than I can even remember, and every time we’ve left happy and full. The staff is always attentive, well trained and super friendly. Every item we’ve tried on the menu(which I think is almost all of it at this point) has always been delicious, and the one or 2 times there was an issue with the food… they we happy to go out of their way to make us happy. For me, consistency is huge. If I order something at a restaurant and enjoy it, I want to enjoy it again if I go back a year later. Maggie’s nails this; the menu selections I enjoyed 10+ years ago are still on point. Hidden gem here is there pizza’s from the wood fired oven, amazing. And if you’re doing an appetizer, go with the«Appetizer Favorites». It’s all good, all the time. Keep up the good work!

Friendly customer service from everyone from the bartender to the hostess. The bartenders are especially good here, they remember my name and say hi when I come in. The menu is large and has free range chicken, grass fed beef, and wild caught salmon at reasonable prices. In Miami I would be paying double these prices for a grass fed burger or wild caught salmon! This is my usual spot when traveling up here for work.

It’s been 6 years since I moved from Waterbury, Ct to Los Angeles, and when I return for business I always make it a point to stop here. Love this place, love the food, it’s got a very neighborhood-ish feel to it. Amy(the bartender) is just awesome… all servers/bartenders can learn something from her.

I’ve been here a few times. The drinks have been hit or miss for me. When they are good they are really good. I like the electric martinis. They are expensive but cute. They never have drink specials but they have a cheap snack menu at the bar. I think the entire list is like 3 or 4 bucks.(small portions, very small).I have never had bad food experience here. My food has always been good especially their brunch on Sundays! A couple times friends have complained though. I’ve watched their orders get all screwed up lol. Tried to have brunch outside once because they have a cute patio area and was attacked by the gnats we had to ask to have our food moved inside. Not their fault, just a side note. The last few times the bar area has been a bit dead.(In the past you wouldn’t even be able to find a seat). The last two times my drinks have also been mediocre at best. No consistency. And for that reason I haven’t been back in a while. Don’t feel like playing the guessing game. Is today going to be good or like last time? Guess Maggie doesn’t notice the bar patrons fading away. I might order food to go if I’m in the area.

This Maggie’s is our usual meet-up spot as a nice halfway point when getting a meal with my college roommates! This time(Friday 8⁄7 at 12pm), it was just two of us, we were able to sit outside in the beautiful weather but still under an umbrella, and everything was satisfactory. I avoid gluten because I’ve got an intolerance, and my friend avoids it for medical reasons, so it was a nice surprise to see they had gluten free options available! We both got sandwiches on gf rolls, a soda, and no dessert, and lunch came to something around $ 32. The Manager came around to every table and checked on the patrons, and our waitress was attentive, which was nice.

Great restaurant and great atmosphere. It’s an easy off-easy on location from I-84. It’s located near Post University so it gets busy on Thursday nights. I typically work late so I tend to go to Maggie’s when I get home because it’s on the way from Danbury. The problem that I recently encountered was that after 10PM(which I’ve been here later and had access to the full menu) they only allow orders from the«bar bites» menu which is cheaper and smaller appetizers. Which was fine for me because I wasn’t that hungry– but if the opportunity presented itself I would have gone for the street tacos. Well, our order was placed and right as the food came out our waiter let us know that the kitchen was closing. It was about 11PM– but there’s a sign outside of the restaurant saying kitchen hours are until Midnight. So I’m not sure if they wanted to close up shop early or what the deal was but I wasn’t very happy with that.

So I come here all of the time for late night food, but mostly because there’s no other options. The food, although PLENTY of options, is pretty blah. But when it’s 11pm & you need food, you’re not gonna be too choosey. I will say the Baja burger, wings & lobster cobb salad are pretty solid options. I’ve tried lots of other things, but they’re really just not very good. Fair draught beer options, but pretty good bottled selection. Mixed drinks are strong(yay) but sickly sweet(sad), if that even makes sense. So a gin & tonic is a good option, but a flavored martini is not. Love the bartenders though. Gets really busy fri/sat nights, so finding bar seating can be difficult. Good for people watching though — there’s always at least 2 trainwrecks sitting just feet away from you. The patio is nice, but you have to order food to sit out there which is too bad. Overpriced for the quality, but not a bad option if you’re hungry after 10 pm. Some nights there’s live music or karaōke which can be fun(or can be too loud).
