They are just plain awful. AWFUL!!! Lure you in w/promises of better prices. The catch is they KNOW that most people don’t know how much fuel they use! Well, I do!!! The first fill, there was a discount, but then the prices started rising… incrementally!!! They were way higher than what I was paying before! The owner, Dale, said I was using more fuel… ummm, no! Unfortunately for him, this was a home that had an internal gauge letting us know! So he blatantly lied! I’m not surprised that there are so many UNACCEPTED reviews — I mean, what company, let alone a PROPANE company, has SOMANY glowing reviews? Ummm, none! Bc they’re bogus and that’s how this company operates! Steer clear bc what they promise us NOT what they deliver. «If it sounds too good to be true, ITIS!!» ALSOREADBRANDY’s FIRSTREVIEW, WHERESHETALKSTOTHEOWNER!!! THATSSOOOOOTYPICALOFDEALING W/HIM!!! SHEWAS W/O HEATFORDAYSONTHEAUTOFILLPROGRAMANDHESAID, «BESTHECOULDDOWASMONDAYWAITING3MOREDAYSAND«THAT’S IT’S NOTEVENTHATCOLDOUT???» The *secretary* fixed her problem when she called again over the weekend after the owner told her to screw off! He touts«honesty» and that he’s had a home construction business — yeah — ask for references on THAT debacle!!! I can give you names! None are pleased!

*** Thanks to Brandi, who checked voicemails from home on Saturday, we got a delivery of propane late that afternoon. She took the initiative to track down a driver who luckily hadn’t left town for the holiday weekend and he showed up around 2:30. She was also very apologetic about us running out of gas and understood that it would be awful to go three days with no heat. She explained that we would have to be customers for a full year before their computer system could accurately predict our refill schedule, and promised to update their records so that we would receive more frequent deliveries in the meantime. Now that’s great customer service. If we had had that kind of response from the beginning, we’d have been happy customers.

Hunt Country Propane has been terrific to work with! Prompt courteous service, and great digital tools like electronic receipt. I moved to VA about 2 years ago and was stuck with *MER*GAS the past two winters. I got tired of their poor customer service and sky high pricing during the winter. I got my tank filled in Sept for $ 1.99 a gallon and pre-bought 1,000 Gallons for the Winter. I am going to save big bucks, and a ton of aggravation. I even got my parents to sign up! Hunt Country is truly 5 Stars!
