We bought our gas fired«wood stove» here several years ago — 12 years in fact — and could not be happier with the product or with Woodstove & Fireplaces Unlimited. The purchase and selection was guided by their wealth of information and experience, their pricing was very competitive, and the installation went without a hitch. We have also had them do our annual cleaning and service over the years since purchase and they have always been responsive, timely, professional, and very reasonable in the cost department. I must admit It surprises me to see the 1-star reviews. They seem to be more«rants and ravings» rather than constructive criticism. All I can say is if we need to buy another wood stove, we won’t hesitate to go back.

I called today needing a few bags of pellets and the guy answering the phone said I can’t sell to you because you have never purchased pellets from me in the past!, WELLIDIOT if you don’t sell any pellets to me NOW, how can I ever become an existing customer in the future. THATDOESNTMAKESENSE. now I WILLNEVER think about buying anything from them. it’s funny because my parents were heading there next week to purchase a wood stove. Not anymore! Thanks anyway

I will summarize because this is going to be long… They are not very knowledgeable about the stoves they sell, they are unorganized with their inventory, they seem to be purposely deceptive about their products, do not expect them to call you back, and they seem to not care to help you once you buy the stove from them. They also have the most unhelpful hours in the world. How do you expect people who work 9 – 5 Monday-Friday to get to your store, or call you to ask a question when the store is only open 9 – 5 and 9 – 3 on Saturdays! I would look at other woodstove places before going to this location. I expected a lot more from a local store that has been in business for a long time. More details are below: We bought our pellet stove and hearth pad from here, the stove was on sale because it was ‘last years model’ so it was discounted $ 500. We had a coupon for $ 100 off any stove purchase and we were told we could not use the coupon because they already gave us a discount on the stove, when in reality the stove was on sale because they were trying to get rid of it, not that this was a deal breaker, but you expect better customer service from a local shop. We scheduled our installation for 1.5 months out to allow ample time for the hearth pad to come in. The day before our scheduled installation(3:30pm) we were called and notified that they would not be installing the stove because the hearth pad had not come in yet. At that time we were told that it was because it was backordered. When I called back to reschedule the installation and get more information on why the hearthpad did not come in, I was given a different answer from a different employee. The installation was fine, they did a great job on installing the stove, but once it was installed we noticed that the stove we bought on sale because it was ‘last years model’ was actually built in 2006. So much for ’last years model’… We also contacted them to find out what type of thermostat we needed to buy for the wood stove to make sure it was compatible, and we did not hear from them for over a week. I had to stop into the store and pin someone down to get an answer out of them and they still did not know the answer!!! A while later we stopped in to ask a question about our stove because the manual described how to change the stove to thermostatic on-off mode, but our stove did not have the features that the manual showed. When I asked them what I needed to do to put the stove in on off mode, they had no idea and had to call their distributer, well it was a Saturday and they did not want to call the distributer, so they took my information and said they would get back to me. I waited a week without hearing anything, so I called them and they had no clue about the answer to my question and told me they would look into it and get back to me. Well here it is a week later again and I still haven’t heard from them. I have decided I am going to call another woodstove place that carries the brand stove I have for help instead. Extremely unhelpful and they don’t seem to care.

I’ve been in here twice to check out gas fireplaces and both times the employees have been super helpful! Being new to gas fireplaces, obviously I have lots of questions. These guys have an amazing amount of knowledge and experience. I can’t wait to see one of their fireplaces in my new house!

EXCELLENT! They took someone who knew nothing about nothing(ME!) and taught me everything I needed to know before making a purchase. They don’t pressure you — as I went back in maybe 5 or 6 times before making a decision(an expensive one at that…) but they didn’t care. They want to make sure they are meeting your needs. So I bought a pellet stove. I could have gone to many places but went here on reputation alone. I can see why! I’ll refer anyone and everyone I can who is in the market for any type of wood burning stove/pellet stove here to make sure they make the right decision too.
