I work in the area and have been to Coffee Milano a number of times. Each time hoping for a better experience. Their coffee is good and food is ok. However I find the staff rude. They are lacking customer service skills. Unfortunately, I have reached my limit. I don’t think I will be returning.

Good espresso drinks and coffee. The young woman serving us behind the counter was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The ambience is funky and casual. It might be fun to try a quick lunch in the future. Parking might be an issue in this downtown location, but we found a spot across the street.

I’m visiting family here in Middleboro and while walking around town I decided to stop in for coffee. While looking at the menu I worked up an appetite and ordered the French toast breakfast sandwich and a coconut iced mocha. DELICIOUS. I got a muffin later on and it was big, toasty, soft, buttered and utter perfection. The menu had plenty of choices, portions were generous, staff was friendly & food was tasty!

I am in coffee heaven!!! Sipping on a banana cream pie iced coffee from Coffee Milano in Middleboro. I normally wouldn’t order this flavor but my friend asked the young ladies behind the counter what their recommendation was. They were so friendly and both responded banana cream pie and offered to make us a sample. I am glad they did. It’s better than ice cream. My friend ordered the blueberry muffin iced coffee and loves it. We are going back tomorrow to try more flavors because it’s delicious and less expensive than many other coffee shops.

A great local place to relax. The food is fine, the coffee is fresh, and the ladies working it are as friendly as can be. What’s not to like?

A family run shop that served up a nice breakfast. The woman working there(owner?) was very nice and made us feel completely welcome.

I like that there is a family run coffee place in town that is not trying to be one of the chains. Its neither D&D nor Starbucks. It has an earthy eclectic feel, a little European college shop mixed in with country western hospitality and informality. It also serves sandwiches that go well beyond anything youd find at most coffee shops. Is it a coffee shop that sells sandwiches or a sandwich shop that sells coffee? Hard to say, maybe it depends on why you are there but ultimately i judge it as a coffee shop, sold by their admission in naming the place. The good: –never a line(not the same as never a wait) –pastries are excellent and seemingly homemade –friendliness of service. Both Icelandic mom and daughter are super friendly, seem happy with what they do and go beyond the standard have a nice day. Its a nice way to start the morning. The not so good: –Espresso coffee. Its done with the little cups in one of those toy-like machines. For Christ sake get a real espresso machine, looks ridiculous and the quality isnt great. I wonder if i could honestly even tell the difference? No matter, irrelevant. If you wish to be taken seriously as a coffee shop you need to have serious equipment. –The set up behind counter. I would not care except that if i order a toasted bagel they need to go out back to get it done, takes forever. –The coffee is stored and served from one of those pump containers you find in self serving 7 – 11. Its better but carries the same cheap impression. Again, a serious upgrade in equipment is needed here. Plus the coffee is never as hot as even honey dew across the street. The odd: –The layout is odd. Its longer than it is wide. It should have the kitchen and counter area in the back, reserving most of the shop for seating, especially near the front windows. Instead the shop is divided in two the long way. The desk and counter area to one side and seating divided by a wall on the left. Instead of having one relatively large active space you have two small lonely spaces. Lastly, if you are going to name yourself after a historic Italian city infamous for its cofee shops the name should be: «Café Milano». Is it that they didnt think it as an option or that they think us simple middleboro folk wouldnt get it? I do like this place and wish them well, it just needs a little help.

Coffee Milano to me seemed like a strange addition to Middleboro, when there is already a Honey Dew directly accross the street, and another one plus a Dunkin’ Donuts a minute drive away. Clearly in this town with all of its empty storefronts the last thing it needed was another place to buy coffee. However, coffee Milano has a nice atmosphere inside; a wall separates the shop down the middle, the one side having the counter and a little cafeteria style sit-down area, the other side carpeted, with tables and couches. Free WiFi also! Outside there are a couple small tables, which unfortunately are almost always occupied by unemployed townies, whether or not they are customers. The coffee at Coffee Milano has always been up to par and sometimes much preferred to the Honey Dew across the street. I don’t know if I would call it an issue so much, but I found the handful of times I had been there my regular black coffee never had the same consistent flavor, though it was very good. Though I’ve not tried their food it seems every customer orders something or other and raves about it. I’d recommend this shop to anyone who wants to enjoy their coffee in peace whether with friends or alone surfing the web.
