I’ve had most 2 – 3 star experiences with this deli all times but one
They’re convenient for me and offer meatball heros which I was jonesing for one day which lead to me stopping by
First time I got one it was amazing –hot delicious meatballs!!! That was the last time it was a delicious treat as well
No matter how nicely I ask for the meatballs to be warmed up they are at best luke warm when I leave assured it’s a HOT sandwich :(so I guess it’s been 4 – 5 disappointments so far and I am now done dreaming of that one time in the distant past that my sandwich was as it should be
One thing is consistent with the place no matter what sandwich is the fact that it falls apart on you — I appreciate the thick chunks of mozzarella and large meatballs but a sandwich should be relatively easy to eat as its a hand held meal :/​
This place isn’t completely terrible and I’m not sayings it’s the end of the world awful … I just have had more disappointing experiences than satisfying ones …

I live in forest hills and there are no good Italian delis. Diluso’s was a great find. The heros were perfect and as advertised, the chicken cutlets were great. Well worth the trip.

Their homemade sandwhichs’ are the best. I’m always looking to try some new combinations and every single one I’ve tried so far is amazing. I always have a hard time deciding between their many assortment of sandwhichs’ and pastas, especially on days when they make their mac n cheese or pasta with pesto sauce. Plus the staff are always friendly and always keep me comming back for more. I even got my whole family comming here now for lunch and dinner.

Nice people, clean place, old and spoiled food.
This isn’t the first time i’ve been here. As a matter of fact, i’ve been here over 20 times.
Out of the 20 times, I’ve been served old food at least 5 times. Their tuna salad has been delicious but often spoiled, their cabbage as well. Their hospitality has kept me coming back, but the spoiled food has disappointed me many times.
I do NOT recommend.

Best chicken cutlets and Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana around. Fresh mozzarella, fresh semolina bread with layered breaded cutlets. Not all Italian hot sandwiches are made equal, no matter how authentic the outward appearance.
Italian hot dishes that are cooked fresh daily with a plethora of choices that are ever changing, with fish on the Friday menu. And its the real Italian ownership that knows how to keep their loyal customers happy. Providing homemade meals with high quality ingredients, so the meatball to the grilled vegetable all arrive from the kitchen bursting with color and flavor. You just can’t get that vibrancy from the can in any of the steps along the process. Bottom line as I see it, Neil and crew really care about the product they put out and know exactly what they’re doing.
A highly respectful, full lineup of respectable cured meat offerings including but not limited to Genoa Salami, Mortadella Sopressata, Soppressata, regular and hot. All cold sandwiches are given the same level of care and attention but as for now, I can’t get my attention off the hot meals.
