King Kullen

George in the bakery is phenomenal! I go there for All of my bakery meeds. The cake decorating is artistic, the flavor is delicious and most of all, the price is right! You could not get a better cake from a privately owned bakery.

I have gone back here a few times since my last review and I have had a very positive experience with the deli crew now. They were friendly and helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I typically go to this store once a week or so. They have a pretty nice produce section, which I usually get my fruit and salad greens from. I also shop their fresh meat section pretty often, because I tend to find great «managers specials» on various items. They are still nice and fresh, so I just toss ‘em in my freezer to use later… usually marked down quite a bit and nothing is wrong with them.
This store is great if you shop for what happens to be on sale. Regular prices are not that great, but they do have some really nice sales week to week. Also a plus that you don’t have to have one of those «shopper cards» at King Kullen. What you see is what you get, so I like that.

Seems okay whenever I come to this King Kullen. I’ve been to this one a couple of times. They have nice cashiers. They don’t have a wide variety of products which kind of sucks. I don’t really do food shopping here but only if I need something for dinner that night or something.

I would say that the store isn’t very well stocked with varied items/​brands compared to other locations. I know that typically King Kullens don’t have as many varied items but, I think every time I visit here there is something they don’t have that I went there to get. I hate the chore of stopping at the market for a specific item/​items only find that the store doesn’t sell it or have it in stock. I typically visit the Manorville store and find that I have much less trouble. Even worse, once I had to go back because the produce I purchased (Campari tomatoes) were rotting in the package, yuck! They looked fine from the outside but, once I took them home and opened them, they were no good. It was one of the few things I needed and I had to take them back.

If I were writing this two weeks ago I would have lamented about how poorly stocked this KK is. I don’t know how the King rates his stores but this must be considered a small or minor store. There is so much that it doesn’t have that it’s sometime baffling. There just is nothing special about this King Kullen. Often I will go to one of the two Stop and Shops on my way home from the office.
But during our recent Snowpocolypse event here on Long Island this KK managed to stay open providing a lifeline to anyone who could get there. Each time I ventured out I saw people emerging from the KK, usually on foot, bags in hand.
