MBTA Station – Central Square

A train broke down here and it literally ruined my day. I’m heated. I waited at JFK for a train for 45 MINUTES. This needs to be fixed, I don’t have time to be waiting for a train for that long. Now I am standing on a train with literally no room to stand. Everyone is mad because Central Station had to screw everything up. Fix it now.

I love the MBTA because each train station is unique in its own way. Some are more clean than others and some even have blow horns (Porter Square) or children’s art work (Broadway). Central Square Station definitely has its own feel… think a little bit of filth and people begging for extra change.
One of my favorite things about the station is the clever seats. They are inside the walls (does that make sense) and there are plenty of them to go around.
I remember once, I was coming home from a little gathering with some friends. Now, I don’t know if Unilocal is the right place to share this, but I have a tiny bladder. After a handful of beers I have to pee like a race horse (don’t pretend that doesn’t happen to you). Once I stepped off the outbound train I was SO excited to see the bathroom sign. As I embarrassingly made my way there (who wants to be seen going to the bathroom in a train station? Not this guy) it was locked! Gah! The MBTA pulled a fast one on me!
Safety tip (I learned this when I was 10), especially for the girls: when leaving the train station at night, have your keys out in case you need to jab someone in the eye. There are some pretty sketchy people who stand outside the inbound and outbound exits.
