Steak ‘n Shake

Always good food when we go. Great burgers and milkshakes. I wish they would change their fries to actually French fries! But that’s every Steak ‘n Shake that has these shoe string type fries.

Horrible horrible service. 21 minutes for two shakes to go. Finally stopped one of the three staff members standing in the back and talking to see where the shakes were. They looked annoyed that I interrupted their conversation.

Great service, average food.
I ordered a salted caramel pretzel shake. I don’t think they used salted caramel ice cream because the flavor tasted more like butterscotch — it leads me to believe that they use syrups to achieve certain flavor profiles.
I like the option of ordering sliders because you can try different burgers. I enjoyed the garlic butter sliders the most.
Overall, for the price you pay, this isn’t a bad option; however, there are definitely better dining options to choose from.

Went to this place last night after work because me and my girlfriend didn’t want to cook so we ordered takeout. My order was supposed to be ready by 11:30 I didn’t walk out the door until 10 minutes til 12. When they were busy on the cook line everybody was around but the manager running the place. The only person who looked like they knew what they were doing was the guy on the grill. After my food was ready I had to wait another 10 minutes for my regular shakes that should of taken a couple minutes. My girlfriends food was wrong when I got home. Didn’t get a straws for our shakes. I also watched 2 ladies walk in and seat themselves because nobody noticed them I told them good luck on getting service. The only reason I go here is because the food is good. I don’t think I’ll be going there at night anymore the night crew is simply terrible.

The person in front of me was talking to the manager and I verbally heard the manager shush the customer he was talking to so that the manager could talk to a personal caller on his own Bluetooth. Totally irresponsible and disgusting behavior. Never going back to this location. Probably calling corporate as well.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a drive –thru window that I could see my food sitting in a fryer basket untouched and see the 6 employees standing around and rapping and laughing before tonight at this location. Glad to know I sat in the drive thru window for 14 minutes for soggy fries and luke warm chicken tenders. I don’t appreciate listening to employees rap, dance, and cuss at each other. Tonight was a learning experience for me at Steak n Shake. Save your money and go to McDonald’s across the street.

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Steak and Shake. Not sure what has happened. My burger and my son’s burger where so small. They looked like something off the dollar menu at McDonalds!

On the bright side our waitress was nice!

Wasn’t expecting much and got even less. Worst experience ever. 12 trips to get all our stuff to our table. Food was refrigerator cold and wrong. Total mess and unorganized. To top it off, a guy who doesn’t even work there brought are food to the table. No manager on duty, sad for a usually good experience in other locations. Ashley position unknown was left with a mess and did her best to right the situation. This was unbelievably bad!!! Laughable

Three strikes and out. Poor service. Wrong food. Not one trash can anywhere in parking lot.
Order taker drive-​up spoke quickly and cut her mic early. After 3x answering the question we thought she was asking, we wondered whether we’d get the correct order. Sure enough, got single instead of double cheese burger and it was *tiny.* Mocha shake had a slight hint of flavor. Fries were hot, plain, not crispy but not wilted.
The highlight was the Frisco sandwich, a gussied up burger on toast. Tasty.
Delivery was slow. We were asked to move forward. Same with car behind us. We waited close to 15 min for the food to be brought out for our drive through order.
After eating, we circled the lot looking for a trash can. No luck. Not one place to leave wrappings, etc. Unwilling to add to the trash lining to back of the lot, we disposed of the trash at the next gas station.
As I write this, my husband informs me that he’s stopping at the rest area hoping he can get a hot dog.

I give the place 3 stars, because half the time the employees are extremely inappropriate. My fiancé, his friend and myself went in there recently and they had one waitress working. She got into a argument with the cook and came out on the floor (with a dining room full of customers) CUSSING at the cook. The cook walked out. Completely unprofessional. I work in the tipping industry so if I leave a bad tip and/​or don’t tip at all I’m infuriated. And that has happened numerous times.
However every time I’ve gotten Tracy as my server everything was awesome. She’s so helpful and makes sure we’re leaving with a full belly and smiles on our face.

Food is good but service is really slow. Drive thru takes at least 10 minutes.
But if you’re willing to wait, worth it!!! :)
Get a turtle shake they are also amazing.

It was definitely not the best Steak ‘n Shake experience I’ve had. They were very busy and only had 2 or 3 waitresses, we had to wait more than 5 minutes to get seated. It took more than 30 minute to get the food. The burger I ordered was decent but nothing spectacular.

Waitress smelled extremely bad. I could barely eat, my children were put off too. I can’t believe anyone could be unaware of that smell. It wasn’t sweat or fecal or bad breath, I can’t even describe it. Food was fast and typical for any Steak and Shake but my stomach was turned by then…

It took 5 minutes to get seated and then no one ever came back to take our order. After 15 minutes i went up and asked for the manager, THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHERE HE WAS! When he came around he apologized and picked up the tab, food came, it was fine, but then the waitress never returned! We scrounged around for our own ketchup and napkins. Stay Away

Cheap good food but lately the customer service is really falling out never I usually like to come here cause they have great deals but after my last few visits I’m considering finding somewhere else to take my family

Everything is good never have any problems with anything very good with kids as well have things for them to do like color and even a toy car to make out of cardboard. The seating is good as long as you can get a booth the chars are not really any different than others and it is nice were it is with good parking.

First time double cheeseburger extra tomato and pickles juicy healthy I liked it wife liked it. I’ll come back Frisco melt good under four bucks

The food was just okay, but the staff was friendly. I ordered the Jamaican jerk burger, and it was tasty, just nothing to shout about, the fries seemed to be overcooked though, but that might just be my personal preference. Although not the best meal in town, I will try the place again at a later date.

Fucks up my order every time…

We stopped here during our road trip, and went in to order take-​out. They had happy hour when we went, which meant half off drinks and shakes, but our cashier was not clear on how that would work if we had meals, etc, and there were no prices on our receipt, so I have no idea how this worked out for us.
A big gripe was that our food came out after about 5 minutes, but our shakes didn’t, and no one seemed to care. We had to ask 4 different people about our shakes and no one told us anything, they all just said they would check on it, until finally the manager told us very snarkily that they were coming out. This was not a pleasant experience, especially because then our food had started to get cold.
The food itself was pretty good though:
Single Steakburger with cheese– the ingredients tasted fresh and it was a good portion for me because I wasn’t that hungry.
Onion rings– not a huge portion for the price, but very good for a fast food restaurant
Grilled Cheeseburger Melt (not sure if this was what it was called) — very delicious, but not very big for the price.
