Great with each list even though it is a brewery! Huge portions s good service, everything going was fresh and really tasty. I had the lamb burger and have been craving it ever since, hope to return soon.

The best vegetarian burger I have ever had!!! The black Angus burger was to die for! Kids had Mac n cheese and cork screw pasta with spaghetti sauce and they thought it was good. I would have given this 5 stars however I called to make a reservation and the person that answered rudely said, «We don’t take RESERVATIONS.»… which we would normally not go to a restaurant that doesn’t take reservations because we have 4 kids but we really wanted to try it so we went. Second reason was the taste of the pale ale Sum Nug wasn’t quite a pale ale and was hoppy. Have to say the best Moscow mule we have had though!!!

Leave it to NWIN to have a place like this after I move away. I’m skeptical of any brewery with an extensive list but they pull off most of their beers like pros. Their stout is a mainstay traditional oatmeal stout. Their kolsch(named after the Ly-co-ki-we trail) was refreshing and light. Amazing small plates like their duck leg mole-olé, which adds a mango sauce to balance the mole, are not to be missed. Skip the outlet mall and spend all your money here.(How many North Face things does one need??)

It was bustling on a Saturday night. We came to eat with two kids. We were greeted right away and were told our wait would be about 20 – 30 minutes. We were surprised by this as we saw a bunch of open tables on the other side of the restaurant. Being from out of town and not familiar with Indiana laws, we found out that kids couldn’t even step foot in the bar side where they had open tables. The«family dining» side is a small enclosed room with about 8 tables. This needs to be expanded if you they want to cater to parents who appreciate a decent beer with a great dinner. While we waited, my husband got us a flight and a couple of craft root beers for the kiddos. The beers are good with something for everyone. Once we were sat, our server was attentive and the menu has a lot to offer. Not your normal pub fare, which was refreshing. The poutine was satisfying and of course we had to order the Scottish eggs. My husband ordered the tuna sliders and the kids scarfed up their Mac-n-cheese and chicken tenders. Good place to check out if you appreciate decent beers and refined pub food. We will be back if we are ever in town again.

The food here has never been short of amazing. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years and have never been disappointed with what we’ve ordered. Unfortunately it seems the service just keeps getting worse, and not just by a little. Our last trip left us with only positive thoughts on the host that seated us. It was busy, so we took bar seats. The bartender, who seemed nothing short of irritated that we were there, literally said«so what do you want?» That was it. He got our beer and I went back to the host and asked for the first available table. Which he happily obliged. Our waitress was just as short, coming once to get our order, once to bring it and once to offer the check(I had wanted a growler fill) so she took that order, brought it, waited for the card and took it. Over the course of our entire meal she was spending every spare moment moment talking to a couple sitting at the corner table. We couldn’t even get her attention to get water. The final insult was looking forward to our growler choice here at home, only to find they had given us the wrong beer. Enough. A $ 65 meal for two should leave us with better memories. I don’t think that even the outstanding food will be reason enough to return.

STAYAWAYUNLESSYOULIKETOBETREATEDWITHCOMPLETEDISRESPECT. IF I COULDGIVETHISPLACENEGATIVESTARS, I WOULD. We drove through road construction, neighborhoods, and detours to get here only to be barked at by the wait staff when asking where the restroom was. We didn’t even order. Picked up our wallet and walked out. If rudeness is their«Schtick» it’s not working. Trust me, we have spread the word on our brewery tour of Michigan.

As always, great food, great brews. Jeff behind the bar Is wonderful. We sat up there while waiting for a table. The server we had when we got sat was really slow at getting to us but my guess is that she was busy. The only thing I saw that I didn’t like was that when our food arrived she was taking some dirty dishes to the back and another server came out with our food and gave it to her and she continued to put the dirty dishes away with our food in her hands. But that’s because I’ve worked in restaurants before and know that’s a no-no. We ordered the mushroom egg rolls, which were a first for us and AMAZING. My pastrami sandwich was unique and really good, and my fiancé enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich, which I’ve had before, and also really like.

The shrimp cocktail was meh. The burger was good and actually properly cooked. The fish and chips were ok, but for $ 15 we expected more than 3 small pieces of fish. I liked the beer, but I don’t feel the need to try this place again.

We LOVE stopping here while traveling between central Illinois and Michigan — it is worth the 10 minute drive from the highway. The food is consistently good, with great choices from traditional pub offerings like burgers and great sandwiches, to more healthy choices like tuna sliders and good salads. Their beer is excellent with a wide variety, and you can get inexpensive 4 ounces tasters of anything(very nice if you’re the one driving). We’ve always had courteous, prompt service, and they are very welcoming and accommodating of children. Bring back the mussels, please!

Great place for lunch, we had started with fried pickles and bowl of beer cheddar broccoli soup, both were great. Our server suggested the Philly Cheese sandwich with was good, watch out for the fried peppers they are good but very hot.

The man and I came here after a day at the Dunes State Park, and we were starved. Service was a tad slower than what I’m used to, but our server Cary was super sweet and friendly. We started with the poutine fries and the scotch egg. Fries were nothing particularly special, would have preferred them to be a little crispier what with how heavy the gravy was. The pork itself was yummy and tender, and the outside of the egg was crispy — delicious. I had never had one before and am not normally a huge fan of egg, but I liked this. We split the beer battered cod, which they were kind enough to put on two separate plates for us. It is a LOT of fish. We ended up taking home about half the order, and I’d say it was even better the second time around. My beef with the dish as it arrived was that the breading was a little soggy — nothing like the crispiness of the Guinness batter that they use at, say, the Curragh in Edison Park. The next day I popped it in the oven to heat it up and that crisped up the breading a bit — yum. I’ll be back next time we’re in the hood to try the beer selections!

Came for dinner and was first time here. Group I was with ordered the large soft Bavarian pretzel which I would recommend. The beer cheese was delicious. I got the Philly cheesesteak which I enjoyed. I believe they use the beer cheese on their philly. The sandwich bun is not the biggest but they load a lot of meat on it and serve you a lot of fries. The deep fried jalapeños on top of the sandwich was a nice surprise. I ordered the American pale ale and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to trying more beers. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Second time here. Both times ate the same thing because I enjoyed it so much. Started out with the large soft pretzel with all three dippers. It is big and the cheeses/mustard are great. The habanero beer cheese is awesome. I got the goat cheese fritter and Granny Smith Apple salad. It is really good. The two people with me got a philly cheese steak and hamburger. They both enjoyed their food. I got wine but husband got a beer from their list and enjoyed it. It’s a cute place that I would recommend to a friend.

The food is better than the beer in my opinion. I hate saying that, they do have some beers that are pretty good. But the food is fantastic. It is mostly pub food but it has some surprises on the menu that you wouldn’t normally see, i.e. quinoa and barley burger. I come back for the food… I haven’t found anything on the menu that I haven’t liked as far as food and I have been coming for a couple years.

Do not be skeptical based on the outward appearance; this is a diamond in the rough, for sure. Atmosphere was fabulous. Service was fabulous. Food(you guessed it) was fabulous. Great opportunity to try some unique dishes. Lamb burger, duck mole óle, and the scotch egg were all to die for and recommended by our server.

Shoreline! Shoreline has the best beer in Michigan City hands down! They been doing it for a long time and it shows. The service is phenomenal and the beer the same. Their barrel aged beers are the best I’ve ever tasted. I love everything about Shoreline. They represent what brewing should be… all about the beer. The building is not fancy, the logo is not fancy, the bar is not fancy. Everything is just functional and damn good. Hats off Shoreline for keeping it real in the craft beer world!

Started with Benny’s classic west coast APA, enjoyed that with a great Lamb burger with very tasty coleslaw(attempt at being healthy). Wrapped it up with a Atomic # 29IPA. Very happy I made the detour to try this place out.

I’m traveling through the area and found this sweet place to eat. As a lover of craft beer I tried many varieties of what beers they offer. Of the four I tried all were good. I also had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. It was great. I did visit at the peak of lunchtime and it was busy. They could use help behind the bar at times like these. Otherwise I was pleased with my experience here.

Dropped in on a late Saturday afternoon after spending the day at the beach. To say that I was hungry and thirsty were understatements. Locating a beer on a hot summer day was easy, their ale with a blueberry hint called Stellar Blue looked good on paper. The first sip wan’t exactly that, it was more like a pound. Wow. what a beer! Had a couple of those. The menu had an interesting mix of choices so we choose the queso fundido and shoreline poutine. Probably not the most likely of choices after sand & sun, but they both sounded good. The queso was decent, maybe a bit on the dry side. When we asked the waiter if the dish was enough for two he said ‘absolutely’. It isn’t. Look, I know I was hungry, but on any given day this serving size might barely cut it for one guy. The shoreline poutine was a basket of tasteless fries with a bowl on the side filled with the cheese and pulled pork. A third bowl offered brown gravy. Pass. The cheese was melted into a glob with a scant portion of pork buried underneath. This neither looked good or tasted very good. Service here is trivial and off. The hostess that sat us asked how many then walked into a side room, put three menu’s on a table and left the room before we even entered it. To say that she was socially dysfunctional would be a compliment. Our waiter was a nice enough kid who was serving several tables. During our 30+ minute wait, he came back to our table several times to apologize for the wait and asked if we wanted refills. He even brought out a slice of their tart for our wait, but that was flat and cardboardish. The delay wasn’t his fault at all, I’d say the chef either took a break or cooked at a snails pace. Either way, it was bad service as a whole. My advice… come for the beer and avoid the dining area and incompetent staff. Cheers.

Not a fancy joint by any means, but delicious? Yes. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical upon pulling up and walking in. Location is pretty non-descript and interior screams«sports bar with lots of beer» but probably don’t care about our food — I was, however pleasantly surprised! As a vegetarian, I opted for the organic quinoa and barley burger with blue cheese, garlic truffle aioli, balsamic glazed red onions, and arugula($ 11). Can I just say this is one of the best veggie patties I’ve ever had in my life?! Flavor was on-point something serious. Whether you’re vegetarian or not — get this. As for the side of fries — meh, nothing special. Opt for something else there — onion rings looked solid. Drink-wise, I couldn’t pick — so many beers I’d not tried before… so what’s a girl to do but order a flight? FYI, flight is $ 10 for six 5 oz. pours of pre-selected beers, running the gamut from light pale ales to dark stouts. Wasn’t a fan of the lightest or darkest, but the Benny and the Euphonic Brew were top notch! Great spot for a casual night out — too bad it isn’t closer to home, but i’d definitely come back next time I’m near Michigan City.
