My husband and I have resided at Long Beach Cove Villas for over 4 years now. We are both very busy and have very little time to complain about little things… However, I’ve just about had it with this place. I will give my honest opinion of the apartments and management. Let’s start with the positives… 1) Roomy apartments, if you get in the older units(built 2008, I think). The new apartments(build 2015) are much smaller. 2) Decent storage space. 3) Fairly large kitchen(in terms of cabinets and counter space). 4) Relatively efficient units. 5) Nice deck. Some complaints… 1) Be prepared to have random, homeless-looking, disrespectful maintenance guys stomp all over your home(without taking their shoes off). 2) Be prepared to be treated poorly. 3) Be prepared to have to deal with incompetent management. 4) Be prepared for icy sidewalks in the winter. 5) Be prepared for the pool to often close early, because it may be inconvenient for someone to close it later. 6) Be prepared for gym equipment to rarely work. 7) Be prepared to not have your phone calls returned. If you don’t mind any of these, this is the place for you! Mostly, I’m just frustrated with the way we’ve been treated after residing there for 4 years. I’m not looking for royal treatment by any means, but I am looking to be treated fairly.

My husband and I have resided at Long Beach Cove Villas for the past two years. We would not be leaving now, were it not for a job transfer 3.5 hours away. We have completely enjoyed our home here. We have plenty of space, not just for ourselves, but also for our frequent out-of-town guests. We particularly enjoy our HUGE kitchen with all of its expansive storage and counter space. We can prepare for large family gatherings and never feel crowded with two or more cooks in the kitchen. The open floor-plan is one of my favorite features. When in the kitchen, I can still chat with my guests, see my grandkids playing, and/or watch TV in the living room. We have three huge bedrooms, the smallest has a king bed in it with plenty of room to spare. I love having our washer and dryer in our apartment, the convenience is so nice. We have spent a lot of time on our covered balcony/deck, and again, it is super-sized and we enjoy entertaining out there as well. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the fantastic management/maintenance team. This has been the worst winter that we have seen in quite some time, but every single morning when it’s time to head off to work, our entrances, sidewalks and parking lot have been clear. Not once has snow been a problem here. While we have not had a lot of maintenance problems to speak of, when something small has cropped up, they have fixed it immediately. I have never seen a maintenance staff that was better. They ROCK! The grounds are so well maintained, and this past summer, a lovely playground was added to the picnic/grilling area. The pool is always spotless, and we have enjoyed using it countless times. There is also a beautiful club room for parties and a 24⁄7 weight room for those who want to stay in shape year round. One of the things that we like best about living here is the location itself. First of all we are surrounded but $ 350K+ homes, which keeps the area very nice. We are across the street from Al’s Supermarket and CVS. It is so nice to be able to just bop next door if I need a few items for dinner or to quiet a craving. Miller’s Pizza, Scartozzi’s, La Hacienda, the Tree House and coming soon, Mulrooney’s are all within walking distance. So nice on a summer evening. In conclusion, for value, quality, privacy, and convenience, you will not find a better new home in Michigan City than Long Beach Cove Villas. I hope that you enjoy your time here as much as we have enjoyed ours. P. Oertel Resident
