Very surprised. Extremely clean and comfortable. This place was truly a hidden gem. It was a last minute stay New Years Eve night and we could not be more happy. All that and an unbelievably low price. Actually looking forward to our trip out that way now that we know we have a nice little place to stay. I’ve stayed in some big name hotel that were not as nice as this place.

Very surprised at how new and clean my room was. Even has a fridge. For 56 bucks including tax you can’t beat this place. Radiant heat. Pool in back. I’ll be back.

While on a honeymoon trip and visiting relatives in the area decided to retry Al and Sally’s. I’ve stayed here a couple of other times with my kids and have always had a good experience. I was surprised and shocked to find the quality of my recent room. The smell of new carpet, all new windows, drywall, fixtures and furniture were not what I expected. I do kind of miss the cinderblock walls in old colors and the vintage tiled and fixtured baths. By far the best lodging of the last week, and the price was a great value. I will continue to patronize this motel. The awesome neon signage and classic style are a real draw to those who wish to relive the roadside overnight stops of their youth without the smell of cigarette smoke.

Oh my Gosh, we stopped because we needed to rest on a Monday night before heading back to Chicago. We went to Bartletts down the road to watch some Monday night football. Chicago v Jets… still watching great game at the al and Sally’s …I was apprehensive to stay but my fiancé was like let’s do, I’m going to honest we knocked on the office door a woman in her pajamas came out to greet us. I thought.oh boy… so expecting the worst… We walked to our room 12, wow… we walked in and it was amazing new, clean, what? I thought this does not add up, 50 dollars, you will not believe it, the value for the wonderful room is rare… I would recommend this motel to anyone coming into the harbor county area.

A little dated. Clean and tidy though. They are remodeling the rooms. The bathroom in mine was done. The carpeting isn’t too old. It is clean, under the bed even. Fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. Mattress was ok. Good size room. Good value for what you pay.

I drive by here alot while working. My wife and I wanted to go to the casinos (four winds and blue chip) for a couple days and didn’t want to spend 300 – 500 $ on a room. This was a nice clean place that served it purpose. The room was a little cold because it had radiant heat that couldn’t be adjusted, there was a little electric space heater provided that didn’t help much. All in all we were satisfied though. The bed was huge!
