Two things that you can ALWAYS expect from Williams-Sonoma,(1) great service and(2) quality products. It’s always a joy to walk in and see all the new products and events that they have going on. From cooking demonstrations to having vendors share some of their favorite products. Yes, it can be a little pricey for certain items but you will not be disappointed. I wish they would have more variety in the pricing department but that’s what sales are for! hehe

I was out running errands with my mom, and she said, «I want to go to Williams-Sonoma and see if they have any samples.» Did they have any samples? They sure did. They hooked us up. At the door, there was a lady sampling peppermint bark(a W-S classic, and they have so many variations of their peppermint bark at this point that they could fill a separate store with them all), mint malt balls, and mint cremes. We got a box of original peppermint bark and peppermint pretzels because who could say no to that, despite the heavy price tag(well, it was 20% off, but it still cost about $ 20 a pop). I mean, this is a nice place to shop for gourmet gifts for people, but only if you’re buying it for someone you really like. It’s super pricey. Btw the samples didn’t end there. By the checkout counter, they were sampling a double layer chocolate cake with peppermint candy studded frosting. I don’t even like chocolate cake that much, but it was so good we both decided we had to buy the cake mix. And they gave us a pretty generous slice, maybe a half inch thick! They also had hot chocolate made from real cocoa that tasted very rich and a fancy marshmallow that paired well with the cocoa(really, it’s not cocoa without a marshmallow). The cocoa tasted better and better with each sip as the marshmallow melted. I read the back of the box for the cake mix. It says we need two 6″ round cake pans. Sure, you can buy them at Williams-Sonoma, but at what cost? Let me hop on Amazon and buy some cake pans there. I mean, they sell Le Creuset. Do you know how much a standard size Le Creuset pan is? $ 300. For that price, I would have to start hooking for cooking gear. I live back in Chapel Hill, where there’s a Sur La Table in the same mall. I find that there’s a greater range of prices, from the super high end Le Creuset to very affordable store brand items. You can get an eight piece pot and pan set for less than the cost of one Le Creuset pan at Sur La Table! Unfortunately, I think the closest Sur La Table is in Boca Raton. But I still pop into W-S for holiday goodies and treats and of course Soma water filters as well. But if you don’t have to worry about money, go ahead and buy everything here.

Because when you love the kitchen and cooking as much as I do. you can only dream of walking in here and buying one of each. Until then, I will do my best in sharing with the world the many wonderful items this store has to awaken the foodie inside you. So how, might you ask do I accomplish this? simple– every time I have to buy a gift I come here and put together not just a gift but an experience that I know the recipient will remember. You see, a bottle of olive oil be just be that. olive oil– but when you pair it with beautiful serving dishes, a cheese plate and fun small utensils– it becomes the highlight of wine night or perhaps your willingness to try something new and explore the many flavors that food brings to the table. This is what Williams-Sonoma does to me. It sparks my creativity and re-ignites my first passion– Food. Customer service is always on point, you can always find something on sale, the books are pretty amazing and well despite the chaos that you can run into when it gets packed– it still holds its charm. Thank you Williams-Sonoma, I know I can count on you to help me keep going back to the kitchen.

I often wonder how stupid employers are when they hire their employees. Because the three lovely ladies who were working today, they were able to say hello once I came in, but with out letting the sound leave there breath, they vapidly went about greater things then making a sale. What ever happened to «Hello can I Help You» I guess it left with competent Miami politicians. Well the gist of it, I was lured into Williams-Sanoma by looking at their monthly magazine. I spotted something I just had to have, a hamburger press, since I’m to stupid make a hamburger on my own. I had to have this $ 19.00 item. There in lies the problem, the women or team members or ass-ociates, obviously didn’t want me to have it. Women are stronger then men, if you want something, they are born with the ability to A. Take it from you. B. Just not let you have it. In my case it was choice B! Other then feign death I could not get their attention. Un-F$&@ing-Beleavable the three of them found my pet peeve, they tag teamed me. I left dejected, I wanted to give Williams-Sanoma my $ 19.00, for a hamburger press that would likely find it’s way in a garage sale in a couple years. But, the three female stooges apparently knew that. So you ask yourself, why Andy, why for the love of Baby Jesus and all things holy, except for Pope Pius the II, since he was a killin MF(true) he invented the belief Friday the 13th was bad luck and caused the Hallmark Holiday called St. Valentines Day. He did all that, he obviously hated men. But, I regress why two stars. Listen kids, William-Sanoma has such cool stuff, if you can locate it, without help from there elite team members. You wanna go. But, go with caution(cuidado) they will mind f$@& you, they make Navy Seals look like amateurs. Remember the customer is King!!! just not there!!!

This is one of my favorite Willams-Sonoma stores. I don’t make it down to the Falls often, but when I do, I’m always impressed with the staff here. I was just there this past weekend and was reminded of how much more helpful the people in this store are versus other stores in Miami. They always give good advice and point out any new items I may be interested in. Bonus — this store is usually quiet, so it’s pretty much a sure bet that you’ll get someone from the staff to help you if you have lots of questions or are looking for a good gift.

Dear Williams-Sonoma of the Falls, It was Christmas time and I was in a crunch looking for unique gifts for my foodie family. Alas, I needed to look no further once I arrived. Although pricey, you offer some really great items for anything that involves hosting, cooking, dining, and imbibing. There are unique gadgets that make life easier, like this garlic grinder thing, and there are edible items such as world-class olive oils and BBQ sauces from the heart of America. I had a great time walking around the store, looking at all the items I would love for my own kitchen, although I would probably never use. And I have to admit, I fell in love with an apron, as silly as that sounds. Your staff is friendly, although I did not find them to be super attentive and helpful. They said hi and welcomed us to the store, but no one assisted my fiancé and I while we were trying to find the right gifts. Luckily though, I was able to find just what I needed without too much trouble. Thanks for the great, unique gifts. Everyone that received enjoyed them. Warm regards, SabrinaAnna*
