I really love this place! It’s so charming and intimate and romantic. It’s a nice spot for a date or maybe even for a few friends to go for wine or dinner. I’ve been a few times and the food is always delicious and the service excellent. I don’t think too many people know about this place, but it’s a hidden gem!

Great food and excellent wine selection. Daily specials change every day so there’s always something new to try! My favorite is the chicken carbonara pasta. Delicious!!! Their house wines change regularly too which is nice. Quiet location and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely a secret spot.

W Wine Bar & Bistro is a wonderful local food spot! After my first visit I knew I had made an awesome discovery. It has a great wine selection, trendy yet low-key ambiance and the food spectacular! If you are in the area definitely do not miss, if you don’t live in the area it’s worth making the drive. Bön appetit!

My wife and I had dinner on a Saturday night. The space is small and intimate with a soft industrial vibe. The food was presented beautifully and prepared to perfection. The spicy shrimp for starters were delicious with just the right amount of heat. We had the lamb chops and pasta Carbonara for our main plates both were outstanding. The service was very attentive and professional.

This little nook off NE2 Avenue has had me intrigued for a while so I dropped in last night for a few glasses of wine and talks. I have to say it was very enjoyable. It’s intimate and inviting and has seating inside as well as out. I decided to go for the outdoor experience as the night was distinctly bearable in late July. I tried a glass of French Rose and we ordered the manchego platter and tuna tartare. Both delicious but I definitely favored the tuna. It was served above fresh avocado and drizzled with sweet ponzu sauce. I was told Fridays are their best night as they feature a DJ til about 2am.(More of a loungy feel and probably a good spot to start before heading to Wynwood). So if you’re into select wines and good eats, you’ll surely be satisfied!

No way… I have read other reviews and I keep trying to give this place another shot. The last 2 times I have visited the food had taken forever, and was terrible. I had grilled calamari in a sweet and sour sauce(which was just a simple balsamic glaze) and a sea bass with a bunch of butter on top. Nothing tasted fresh and it was such a disappointment. The wine on the other hand is great! The waiter is always wonderful and gives you very good advice.

I had dinner here for the first time after the full remodel and menu changes and I must say I was very satisfied. For starters my wife and I ordered the Pinchos Morunos, spiced pork skewers with Cilantro-Peanut dipping sauce that was delicious. After wards, we ordered the Salmon with creamy dill sauce and the seafood pasta inferno, both excellent dishes and just the right amount of food. I ordered the Salmon with Parmesan Garlic Mashed Potatoes, very nice presentation and just the right amount(at least for me). Don’t expect a huge bowl of garlic mash, although it was so good, I could have had a bowl. I was surprised to find that they serve Fin du Monde beer too :)

I was really looking forward to this place. Reading that it was a cozy wine bar, similar to something you’d find in NYC. Not at all. Got there around 8:30pm wanting to have dinner and some wine. We were seated promptly and not given any menus. After about 10 minutes we ASKED for menus and got one wine menu, no food menu. About 10 minutes later we pulled the waitress aside and asked about the«free wine with dinner» deal that was advertised on Urban Daddy. She then brought us each a glass of Pinot Noir(not asking if we wanted white or red, but luckily this is the wine we wanted). We then waited probably another 10 minutes before asking if we could order. We ordered the risotto and the chilean sea bass. About 45 minutes later we still hadn’t gotten any bread(bread should be brought to the table right after you order) and we asked for some as we were starving at this point. They said that it was in the oven. We waited, asked again in a little bit, same story although they had just brought bread to the 2 tables adjacent to us. Finally around 10pm pulled the waitress aside and asked her what was going on, we were starving, asked for bread numerous times and would like something to tide us over. She was kind enough to finally bring out to comped appetizers but forgot to ask us if it was something we could eat and it was chicken which neither of us eat. Our food eventually came out around 10:15. The fish was really good. They brought it with the wrong side dish but quickly corrected it. The mashed potatoes were really good. The risotto was just ok, could have used more salt/seasonings. The waitress then brought out a free dessert which was a cheesecake. It was good, not great. Although at this time we were so starving we ate everything off our plates! Overall I would say this: the waitress was very nice and pleasant but either she had too many tables or something else was going on, but service was seriously lacking. Everything we wanted we had to ASK for and that is just a pain. The food was very good. The wine was good. They ended up charging us only for our entrees which I thought was a nice attempt at placating us. My advice for the restaurant: if you’re going to advertise a special, STAFF your restaurant appropriately. Have enough menus. Be attentive to your customers. Serve their food on time. And everyone will be happy!

W Wine Bistro is near and dear to my heart because it was the location of my first date with my boyfriend over a year ago. Before that first date, I took one of my girl friends here on a dateless Valentine’s Day, and we had a great time. This restaurant is tucked away off in the Design District,(as other reviewers have reported) it doesn’t seem like much from the outside, but once you step inside, W Wine Bistro is purely romantic, intimate, and inviting. The manager and staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The wine selection leaves nothing to be desired and there are great specials, and on Wednesday there’s no corkage fee on wine bought in-house. Now, for the bistro, the food is completely craveable. On my first date, I had sea bass that was cooked perfectly, and a bottle of rose. With my friend J.C., I shared the polenta and chorizo appetizer(we cleaned the plate), paired with a bottle of red wine(I don’t recall the variety). I’d definitely recommend this place for a romantic date or a delicious meal and bottle of wine with a friend; it’s a little known Miami jewel that I wouldn’t want to keep to myself.

I have to give this place 3 stars for the décor and the waiter’s effort. Very cozy atmosphere, nice selection of wines, intimate setting. I felt really bad for the waiter, I don’t know if they were understaffed that day, but he was the only one tending to 8 tables! He seemed to be all over the place, but was def lacking. The couple sitting next to us had to get up and grab their own menus because he was taking that long. I feel bad that they would advertise a 2×1 special, and not have enough staff to tend to their customers. The DJ music was way too loud for such a small place. I’ve learned not to write a place off just because of one experience. I will have to give this place another try and see if its gets better.

This place has become my go to spot for a pre or post dinner glass of wine. I love everything about it. It’s nicely decorated without being over the top. Great wine selections! Friendly service. Just a great little place to hang out.

I went here on a Wednesday and was in the mood for a wine flight. Our waiter ended up creating a tailor made wine flight for us, because they really don’t offer it on the menu, which was totally awesome! Thanks Peter! We picked our favorite and bought the bottle to open it up there. To my surprise on Wednesdays they don’t charge a corkage fee. The food was delicious. We had the Hummus platter which tasted so good, the mini crab cakes that came with homemade tartar sauce, and the tuna tartare, which I though was one of the best Id ever had. The place is really cute and they have plenty of wines to choose from all at different price points. We ended up taking a couple bottles home and none were over $ 15. We had the best time, and will be back really soon, can’t wait!

I went there for a nice leisurely holiday lunch. A small and cozy place with friendly service. Loved that they had a $ 20 bottles of the month! Our $ 20 Cotes du Rhone was very satisfying. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which had a good smokey sweet flavor and nice little side salad($ 8). My friends enjoyed the quiche and soup combo and the burger. With such good value, I will definitely be back for the wine on an evening when I can devote myself entirely to wine appreciation with the added assurance that the food will be A-OK.

I had a great time here, although it was totally empty on a Thursday night around 9PM. Gus, the former owner-turned-manager, was a kind, talkative Dutchman — his conversation made the small wine bar feel much more cozy. But the real awesome part of this experience was the glass of white wine I selected — it was a french bordeaux blanc — very yummy dry, fruity wine. I bought a bottle(only $ 20!!) to take home with me. My boyfriend had a glass of port, which he was also happy with. I would definitely come back, and maybe try the food next time. Frankly, I am shocked that this place wasn’t more crowded! Maybe it was the unsightly construction going on outside on 2nd ave…

I am SHOCKED no one else(besides Eschel) has reviewed this place. so here’s the skinny — W Wine Bistro is as close as we will get to a New York-style wine bar/bistro. Their small but exquisite bar menu is sophisticated, and paired perfectly with their extensive wine selection. Also a wine boutique, this midtown spot is popular among the downtown locals(and as of late — the tiniboppers too — they drink coke). Try the antipasto, W Wine Bistro Plate, Duck«Parmentier» and for dessert order the Crispy apple tart with vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere in the evenings can be slightly pretentious with interesting characters coming out of the Miami woodwork, but well worth it for its delicious food and wine your after. And here’s a secret — again don’t tell too many people about this… you can find a $ 25 off(for $ 10, or less if you find a code) certificate on .

In addition to being an excellent wine bar, where you can purchase any of the bottles off of the wall and open them with a $ 15 corking fee(sometimes discounted), this is a great little French-style bistro. They’ve got awesome duck confit(I was seriously craving it after watching Tony Bourdain make it in his recent visit to Miami, so we went here for dinner afterward) and have some great appetizers and desserts. It’s a fun atmosphere, if a bit cramped at times.
