It’s the first 2nd Saturday of 2012(Wynwood Art Walk) and it’s a huge turnout; people walking in every direction, traffic backed up in both directions along 2nd Avenue, plenty of art to be viewed, free booze & beer flowing, various genres of music in each gallery, street vendors doing their thing by all the food trucks, restaurants/bars filled to the rim and all to be expected… the only surprise of the evening for me was this pop up record shop. Surrounded by a few very happening galleries like Miguel Paredes, Black Square, Robert Fontaine, Myra & others; loud music and a different vibe attracted us over to Vinyl Collective, and glad we came. They had plenty of vinyl for sale and for a ver fair price(I even found expose album for 50 cents). Not only were they selling some great vinyl records but they had a couple different DJ and other musical artists keeping everyone entertained. They were also serving up Mandarine Napoleon(a belgian orange liqueur/cognac), similar to Cointreau. The shop may have been small but they had a whole lot popularity on this day.
