I was there this past Sunday. All was going perfect! Reservation on time, great staff, perfect weather all amazing until I had to change my daughters diaper. Seriously no changing table??? How expensive could it be? This is suppose to be family friendly restaurant yet I had to walk to my car during my breakfast to change her diaper. Sorry but big no no!

When I got to this Resturant thinking, it’s such a nice place. As I walked in to the door a host approached and asked where to be seated. We choose outside. It was a huge mistake to begin with. This place is pet friendly. I love pet also. But too many pets and all barking at each other. It was a mess. After seated at a table outside, we waited 15 to 20 mts just our server acknowledge. She appeared with two glass of water. And I asked for a straw and a lemon. Which we never received. We ordered the food and people who was sitting around us started complaining and sending the food back. How can a Resturant messes up salad? Top it off, they don’t know how to make Bloody Mary. But it’s he special on the menu. Lol. We received our food. It was horrible. Steak was over cooked and it was awful. I will never ever will return. Also, servers fight with each other while customers sitting around very unprofessional. Overall it’s a pet friendly place but it’s seems it’s but too much. I love pets, but all the noise is bit over board

I love Town but we celebrated my daughter’s birthday here with a group of 17& we received very poor service. We were in the private room and we were basically neglected. We brought an ice cream cake & I had to serve the cake myself! It’s an ice cream cake. It’s going to melt! You have to serve it shortly after you bring it out. You can’t leave us for 20 – 30 minutes, the cake will be a melted mess and no one will want to eat it. I’ve been here for other big occasions and the service was fine, just not that day. Very disappointing. I like the food here but service is hit or miss.

Went to Happy Hour at Town with coworkers on Thursday evening. I ordered the Lobster Quesadilla, had a slice of the Meat Lovers Pizza, and enjoyed a few cocktails. Quality I was a fan of the Lobster Quesadilla, which is stuffed with jalapeños giving it a tangy zing. The thin crust Meat Lover Pizza was nothing special. The drinks were all tasty and generous pours. Quantity Both the Lobster Quesadilla and Meat Lover Pizza were off the Happy Hour appetizer menu. They both were perfect for sharing, each one for two or three people. Value The Happy Hour menu is a very good value at Town. From 4 – 7 beers, glasses of wine, and cocktails are half off and they have several appetizers at reduced prices. Also, on Thursday they provide free champagne for the ladies. Ambiance Town falls as something in between a restaurant and a bar. Although there is a nice dining room area, the focal point of the inside is the bar and lounge area. They also have a back room for private parties. Since the weather was nice we sat outside in the booths, which was nice except for the occasional person walking around asking for money. The restaurant was playing mostly pop music, which was much louder inside than outside. Crowd The Happy Hour crowd was moderate with mostly young professionals who likely work in the area in the bar and lounge area. There were a few families having dinner in the outside dining and people with their dogs, but for the most part it was an afterwork professional crowd throughout the place. Service Our waitress was very friendly and upbeat. The drink orders came through slow from the bar, but the food was out quick and there were always servers watching the tables outside. Parking There is plenty of street parking as well as lots in the surrounding South Miami/Sunset area. Extra Town definitely fits the bill as more of a Happy Hour spot than either a restaurant or a late night bar. The prices take a significant jump after 7 and the bar food is good, but nothing on the actual menu looked to stand out. The best thing about Town is the free champagne and the Happy Hour that is 7 days a week from 4 – 7.

I love Town’s happy hour. it’s what keeps me coming back. The only time I really suggest Town is for happy hour. the rest of the time I’m coming because someone else picked it. Yesterday we came here for brunch. $ 25 per person for unlimited mimosas is kindof crazy. so we opted for 2 carafes of mimosas between three of us, which was way more affordable($ 40 for 2 carafes. each carafe is 1 bottle) and plenty of bubbly. Usually I go for the eggs benedict, but I decided to go for the short rib instead. The plate was a heaping mound of risotto — too much risotto in my opinion. The short rib was good. not as tender as I was expecting, but the flavor was good. The eggs, unfortunately, were wayy overcooked. No runny yoke = huge disappointment. One of my friends also had the short rib — she had the same issue — no yolk. The other friend had the eggs Benedict which she said was just okay — she had yolk! But she said the hash browns were sad. No crunch to them. I’ve been here for dinner a few times and for lunch several times — they have some good salads and pizzas on the menu, but I’ve never cared for their main entrees. nothing has me hooked. their happy hour though, keeps me a returning customer. My husband actually works in this building, so he likes to have happy hour here on Fridays so I can drive to meet him and he can just walk downstairs. works out well. The martinis are pretty good here. Decent martinis are a happy hour requirement for me. The calamari, while simple, is delicious with that sweet tangy sauce. That’s what has us hooked and keeps us coming back!

I’ve been to Town a handful of times and unfortunately, I’m still waiting for the«wow» factor. While the food isn’t awful, it isn’t that memorable either. I’ve been for Thursday Ladies Night, Sunday Brunch, and weekend dinner. On the upside, the portions are quite large and their champagne for ladies night is a deal. They have a good selection of drinks, wine and beer. On the downside, the service is mediocre. Dining for Sunday brunch, our table of 8 lacked place settings — we only had two cloth napkins with forks and knives rolled at our table. When our food arrived, I made the mistake of asking for silverware, and the employee brought 8 knives and forks to the table. I then clarified that we needed napkins as well and were brought 3 white paper napkins(for a table of 8). We finally asked our server for napkins and were brought black beverage napkins. We found ourselves sharing napkins and even resorting to baby wipes to clean ourselves. Someone should have identified that we needed place settings long before it was brought to multiple servers’ attention. Later in the meal, we had a spill at our table which also spilled all over me, and I stopped the first server I could find to ask for napkins… I’m still waiting for them. I’m left pondering a napkin shortage at Town, because it seemed absurd that we couldn’t get napkins, a necessity at a meal, from multiple employees.

Came for brunch and was shocked there was no wait. The egg sandwich was a cute size but actually perfect. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. But the big hit were the hash browns. They were firm and had a surprise of cheese. Service was friendly and great. Definitely want to return.

Thought originally about sitting inside but the music even at 4 in the afternoon was nightclub loud. Opted to sit outside and watch the parade of Halloween costumes. Sliders and calamari were acceptable but not special. Waiter(a NewYawka!) grossly oversold the pizza and then screwed up the order. We changed our mind on the pizza, ordered a Margherita pizza, got the original califori(spinach and goat cheese) instead. My companion didn’t realize the mistake at first and tried it, Pizza crust was bland. Pizza sauce was bland, pizza toppings were bland. Re-ordered the Margherita,(got charged again) and I tried the Margherita. Pizza crust was bland. Pizza sauce was bland, pizza toppings were bland. Grade school pizza bland. It’s like the pizza crust was just a salt-free thick cracker dough concoction. The sauce lacked life, oregano, something. The mozzarella oozed grease and didn’t «string». One server does get points for bringing a little pan of water for the dog at a nearby table

I went here for brunch with friends. They started off with mimosa and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the French toast, which has berries on top. It was delicious. Lots of flavor. The fruit was nice and fresh. Good size portion. I ordered a side of two scrambled eggs. A little pricey, I think 2.50 if I remember correctly. Overall, the food and service was good and I would return for brunch.

This place sucks they spilled a drink on my mom, their pizza tastes like butt, and my Tia says the tomato bisque tastes like«cold ketchup». And the bread putting /sponge cake tastes like a sponge that soaked up chocolate and sugar. And my dad says he never wants to come here again. My Tia was literally crying it was so bad. !!! — John S.

Awesome place with great service and great food. It was a rough start with the waiter(I guess it was his first big table or something) but he became more attentive after we mentioned the slow start. The food was truly amazing! The short rib and arepa scramble is a must! The crunchy French toast is good but nothing out of the ordinary.

I came here with a group of about 10 people for my birthday last night, I called ahead to reserve the lounge seating area since we just wanted to do drinks. The DJ was awesome and their Old Fashioned was very yummy! When I walked in I spoke to a server/hostess who seemed very out of it, I explained that we had a reservation and she sat us in the lounge area. Then she proceeded to tell us that she was leaving in a few minutes so we had to order quickly. So I rushed through the menu to order a drink(old fashioned) and like I said, it was very great. More of my party arrived and she also wanted to rush them but when I brought up bottle service she all of a sudden became very easy going and not rushing us. That rubbed me the wrong way and she actually didn’t leave«in a few minutes» she was there until we left. Other than that, I think Town is a great spot.

I frequent this spot when I’m in town visiting. It’s situated in a good area of sunset and easy to get too. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area and lounge spot. There’s also a main dining area and getting a table is usually not an issue. It’s your basic American menu. For happy hour they have select apps like sliders and nachos ½ off. Their regular menu is reasonably priced. Dishes range from grouper burger to Penna pasta. They have a good selection of wood oven pizzas. I would recommend ordering a pizza for an app or dish. I can’t give too many comments as far as the dishes go. However, their drink selection is vast and tasty.

I’ve been to Town a handful of times. The drink specials(happy hour and half priced bottles on Tuesday) are pretty great and I really enjoy the ambiance outside. The service is nothing to write home about, but satisfactory. Most recently I came here after Mother’s Day brunch with my aunt, brother, and boyfriend in tow. We ordered two pitchers of the white sangria and they went down very easily. Delicious. I really enjoyed the lychee in them. I’m also a big fan of the crowd here. It’s slightly older and calmer. No loud music. It’s the perfect place for a night cap after a date.

We went to this restaurant for brunch. All of the tables were full and there was an hour wait so we sat at the bar to enjoy our brunch. We love sitting at the bar. It’s free entertainment. The bartenders are very attentive service and they’re very friendly. My husband and I both found the food to be a little bit above mediocre. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. I personally didn’t love the spices used in preparing the chicken. I also found the cheddar waffle to be tough and chewy and it was served cold. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and he said they were OK but nothing special. The restaurant is a little pricey and I don’t think it’s worth the wait.

Town is ok, its one of those places you go to because the food is ok and its convenient. I like their Pizza, burgers and and their pasta. I recently went here for a baby shower in one of the private rooms for brunch and I have to say that the experience was good. The tables were set with pre-printed menus of a couple of choices and the area was decorated with the shower’s theme. When it was over they even provided my friend with to go boxes for any extras that were leftover, like the cake(which they bought themselves) but still nice for them to offer them to pack the rest of their things to go. The services was good and I had a great time. I think it’s a great option to reserve the room for a small private event. Other than that when I’ve come here otherwise food is fine, nothing incredible. But good nonetheless.

I’ve been here a handful of times since my last review(four and a half years fly by fast!) and feel like I’m in need of an update. Now, you may be asking why I keep returning for a consistent three star experience? Happy hour. It’s a pick among some former colleagues as a go-to spot and depending on the day of the week, you can snag some good deals. For example, on Tuesdays, bottles of wine are half priced, Thursdays ladies get complimentary champagne, and from Monday through Saturday, all drinks are half priced from 4−7pm. Normally, we are in a big group and the servers usually do a good job of keeping track of orders and splitting the bill. For eats, I’ve never been too blown away. On my last visit, I got a meat and cheese platter and felt like it was skimping on the portion size. Their popular calamari is good(and admittedly addicting) but basically fried batter soaking in an Asian sauce. The pizzas are decent but nothing that will blow you away. I guess similar to my last noted experience, don’t go necessarily for the food but it’s there for when you need a bite. Aside from happy hour, a friend also recently rented out the Sidebar space for a birthday celebration that worked out quite well! With dedicated staff, bartender, etc. we had a great time. I definitely like the feel of that space if you’re in need of one for a small gathering. Will I probably end up here again? Yep but not if I’m organizing the gathering…

Decided to check this place out as it had a lot of decent reviews on Unilocal.Came here with a group of 5 girls and sat outside on a lovely, sunny day. The atmosphere was right and we were looking forward to enjoying our meal. However, the service made the experience so bad that I have to give it only 3 stars. To start off, it took her over 15 minutes to bring menus, and when she finally did, it was only because we asked for them. She was not very clear explaining the menu and even seemed confused about it herself. She didn’t write down our order and had to come back to ask. Even then, she still got one of our sides mixed up. As we’re eating, she knocks over my utensils and water(thank goodness it didn’t land on me or my plate). But after she cleaned it up, she didn’t bring more water or napkins. I had to ask another waiter to bring over a few things we needed cause she never came around to asking if everything was OK. The food was good. I had the black and blue burger, a bit over cooked but the flavor was great. The mussels were great also, but a lot of them came empty inside. The hummus was a bit flavorless but great quantity, unfortunately it didn’t arrive as the appetizer as we had ordered it though. And the Caesar salad was tasty. All in all, the food was fine but the service was so horrible that it completely ruined our experience. We got the check 15 minutes after we finished our food and we had to ask 3 waiters for it.

Brunch, perhaps the greatest of meals, even including Hobbit favorites such as first breakfast, second breakfast and elevensies. I have been to Town maybe 6 – 10 times over the course of a few years and I have never been disappointed. From evening drinks and tapas to brunch, Town consistently delivers a great experience. That being said, brunch is truly their high point. The wait at Town is typically much shorter than other nearby brunch restaurants, and their outdoor seating is very pleasant. Today was one of those rare, 75 with a breeze Miami days, so the outdoor ambiance could not have been any better! A+ Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals very much, with dishes such as Biscuits and Gravy, Various Omelettes and my choice: The Waffle Sandwich. It was a difficult decision since their French toast is so good, but I wanted eggs AND something sweet, delicious and unhealthy; Enter the Waffle Sandwich. It had wonderful, crispy bacon, a huge layer of Cheddar Cheese(medium sharp I believe), and fluffy eggs sandwiched between two huge, perfectly cooked waffles, served with powdered sugar and syrup! A++ Town always hits the spot. The indoor seating is nice, but I always opt for outdoors, especially when it isn’t 95 outside. If you head to Town for brunch, you’ll have a good time, almost guaranteed! P. S.: Unlimited Mimosas for $ 25 per person, or split a carafe for less!

Town is one of those places that while it’s not the best it’s comfortable. Sure they’re probably places better than Town but yet I always find myself here. Overall the food is a consistent 3 – 4 stars to me, but they’re some stand out items. The mussel pots for one are always on point and definitely 4 – 5 att worthy. On my most recent visit I had the Barcelona style which was loaded with Spanish chorizo, leeks and the mussels were swimming in a jacuzzi of rich, buttery, savory broth. The crusty garlic bread for dipping is the perfect accompaniment. A trip to Town is not complete without one of their martinis. For me it’s the dirty martini which olives stuffed with blue cheese. If you’re not a dirty martini person there’s a bunch of other options including a lychee martini that’s to die. If you are looking for a margarita don’t miss the cucumber one. It’s perfectly light and refreshing and just what you need on a miami summer night. As for the ambience, this is a local neighborhood spot with a little more swag. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor is slightly cramped but manageable. If you can tolerate the heat enjoy dinner alfresco. I personally like sitting outside and find it to be a little more relaxed atmosphere. All in all, if you are looking for a great spot for a drink and some appetizers or light dinner in SoMi, then look no further.
