We found a server here that is awesome and makes it worth coming again. I’m still not a huge fan of paying a premium to cook my own food, but I have a wife and 2 kids, so I really don’t have a lot of say in anything. Who’s the server you ask? Hahaha, there’s no way I’m giving that up. Honestly, I forgot her name but my wife knows and they actually have it saved under our name in their system that we only want her. So good comeback melting pot.

I can’t say enough good things about The Melting Pot and this location in particular. I especially love the cheese, house salad and chocolate!

my husband and i recently decided to have a throw back in time date night and decided to hit up the melting pot since i got a great groupon deal! i would say ive experienced better(2 stars) but ive never been to another fondue restaurant, since this is it in miami, it gets 3 stars. the service was ok, nice enough, but nothing extraordinary. what can you say for a run of the mill chain restaurants. now for the food– the cheese and dessert is where its at. the main entrees you can skip for sure. really bland and greasy meat and veggies. if it wouldnt have been included i wouldve never ordered it. but the cheese is soooooo good. we got the 4 cheese combo and it was delicious. and dont even get me started on the chocolate dessert, we had the oreo and i swear if i wouldn’t burn my tongue i would’ve licked that bowl clean!

For Christmas I was gifted a $ 45 certificate to this place and I was always curious about this spot cause it has always been there but no one ever talked about it lol! Well now i understand WHY no one ever does cause it was honestly one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. I was there with a party of four and ended up at a table that had one pot that cooks all your food which was pretty small when you server comes you have a choice of different cheeses to begin with as an appetizer that cooks in your pot like a fondue. It melts away with some beer and some herbs as flavor. They give you some bread to dunk in the cheese with some apples it Absolutely had no flavor and tasted like some cheese they bought from the grocery store across the street and grated it themselves. I was so hungry and was hoping that dinner was going to be better I choice three different meats chicken, shrimp, ahi tuna which was $ 39.99 that included the fondue cheese and dessert. But back to dinner when everyone got there meat we choice a wine flavored season to cook our food but was said that it was one of there best. When it was time to cook our food all our fondue sticks had different colors so we wouldnt be confused to whos stick we were choosing but ended up being a horrible experience because there was sooo many sticks in the pot that are food was coming out of the sticks and when we finally tasted the food it was missing so much flavor it cooks in about 2 to 4 minutes but it felt like i boiled my food with no love. Time for dessert and that was pretty cool thats why im going to give this place 2 stars cause of the end. We choose a oreo with white chocolate fondue it came with fruits and marshmallows and tasted pretty yummy. When the bill came I ended up spending $ 100.00 dollars because we ordered a couple of beers for the amount of money we spent it was not worth it. In my opinion this place was a never again in my list and would never recommend this spot to anyone. If your looking for an experience go to Samurai.

Cheese and chocolate fondues are phenomenal! The dinner options aren’t bad, but I really can’t recommend visiting based solely on the entrees. The aforementioned cheese and chocolate are all that you need to try! :-)

Went there last night and the waiter was clearly stoned and the service reflected it. I rarely patron this location, however my best friend and I go to the Melting Pot monthly and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had at a melting pot location. In addition to the horrible service the table was in the bar area and rather exposed and the bathroom was dirtier than that a gas station.

Been here a few times and every time we come here the staff is nice. Food serving size keeps getting smaller and smaller to bad the prices don’t get small.

I like the Melting Pot a lot but I found this location to be average. The ice tea here is horrific for a quality restaurant. The salad was wet which in my book is a sign of sloppy. The vegetable servings were small and I just felt like you can do so much better. The Cooper City location is the standard for this chain and I just felt like it was lack luster here. Even the chocolate for the dessert part was on the cold side. So-so all around so I’ll stick with my other location from here on out.

Coming to the melting pot does indeed mean paying for a dining experience and not the food quality. Although the food quality isn’t bad at all. It is though extremely overpriced for the amount of food served. Be prepared to pay around $ 90 for two people, that’s exactly how much my bill was even with the groupon. I got the groupon they offer but that does not include drinks, it comes with a distasteful cooking broth and it also does not include the cheese which is definitely a must have !! Apart from the overpriced menu. This place has a very romantic and cozy atmosphere. My server Julian was very knowledgeable of the menu and being my fist time there he explained everything down to the last detail. I’ll probably not be here for a while, just because cooking my own food wasn’t exactly my style. The experience was very nice just not something I could do more than once a year.

I have been coming to this place for three years in a row on Father’s Day, and I have to say my family and I have never been disappointed. Last Sunday, we first ordered the brie and bacon cheese fondue, it was just delicious, so tasty, not overwhelming at all, the three of us were delighted! Then, we got the coq au vin to cook our meats, since we had chosen the«endless fondue» we had as much meat and shrimps as we wanted which was great. They also give you six different types of sauce which pair very good with the meat. For dessert, we ordered the smores fondue, and OMG, believe me, even if you think your are too full for any dessert, this fondue will make you change your mind, it was so good, especially with the strawberries and bananas that are part of the items they give you to eat along with the fondue. I recommend you to go there if you have kids, I think they really get to enjoy the original concept of the place, looking at the server making the fondue, and it is fun for them to cook their own food. Service was excellent, our waitress Demmie helped us to make our minds when we were undecided as to what cheese fondue to get, she was very friendly and smiling all dinner long, always checking on us, and last but not least, she didn’t rush us even though it was a late dinner. Thank you again! We will be back!

I live in Hawaii, and the Melting Pot doesn’t have a restaurant in that state, so it’s been 10 years since I’ve enjoyed this restaurant – a place I ate at regularly on the East Coast before moving off the Mainland. I’d been planning this trip to Miami for several months, and when my husband saw that a Melting Pot existed here, we thought we’d «relive» an old hang out. Unfortunately, I relived only the experience of entering the restaurant. I didn’t experience the taste. We arrived at 5: 04 – the place opens at 5 p.m. One other couple was waiting for service. I tolld the hostess that we wished to have a table for two. «Do you have reservations?» No. We don’t use a schedule when we travel. She took our names and asked if 5;30 would work. I said that now would work, too, and that we would wait. Did I mention that a totall of FOUR patrons were present – and we were TWO of those FOUR? I overlooked the absolute dull, blasé’ and un-enthusiastic personality of the young lady, mentioned nothing of the fact that no greeting was received, and took my seat in the empty lobby – equipped with creepy artwork of faces staring eerily at us… At 5:24 my husband asked the hostess why the wait, especially since no one else was taking up the space? – except for those faces on the now-even-creepier artwork. (The two other guests in the entire place had been seated at 5:06. They must have had reservations.) Answer to why we had not been seated: The server had just arrived. At 5:28 a family entered – with a small child in tow. They, also, had no reservation. They were told that 5:45 would be available for them. They hesitated, seeing that there was clearly no crowd to explain the need to wait. They wondered why they could not be seated now/immediately. Again, the same answer was given: No servers were available. The young family debated about staying or leaving, especially because the child would obviously not do well waiting 15 – 20 minutes with no guarantees of seating even then. I stepped up to the family and told them, «We’re tired of waiting. It’s 5:30. We are supposed to be next, so if you want our place, feel free to have it. Your little one shouldn’t have to wait.» And we left. It will be quite a while before I end my ten-year fondue drought. Maybe I’ll ask my mom to mail me her old cooking set from when I was a kid. .. seems as if that might come quicker than getting a table at this place! Sad, but not fully disappointed: We had a great meal at Kelly’s Cajun Grill – with fabulous food, healthier and faster, even – and fantastic service. It might not have been the three-hour date night we had hoped for, but for my mid-life practicality – how I am treated by an establishment is far more important to me than how low the lights are dimmed or how much I spend. Good luck, Melting Pot. A fond-ue farewell to you! I’ll not be back.

We went today for the first time. We didn’t know what to expect but have seen it many times while driving by. When we opened the door I was actually surprised by the ambiance. It’s really nice and romantic. If you are going on a date it’s a nice place. The lighting is dim and it almost seems like an Arabian night kind of deal. The cheese fondue is fantastic. The salad was good but when it came to the main entrée it was ok. It’s an interesting experience but it’s a bit pricey for you to cook your own food. The presentation is fantastic but like I said the main course was ok. We chose the four course deal and the cheapest one is like $ 34 per person. If you want a different cooking oil than the standard they also charge more for that. The dessert is phenomenal. It’s multiple choices of chocolate fondue and many different dipping options are served. There’s brownies, blondies, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, rice crispy treats, pound cake, chocolate covered marshmallows, and graham cracker covered marshmallows. If you are going for the cheese and dessert then I give the place 5 stars. The only part we were dissatisfied with was the main course. The service was fantastic. The people are very friendly.

Nice concept restaurant everything revolves around fondue. The cheese appetizers are out of this world and the desserts are to die for. I am not a fan of having to cook my own dinner in a restaurant so I only go there for the chocolate and cheese fondues. They have a nice full bar and the bar tenders make excellent drinks. It is definitely a place to try just be ready for the bill.

It’s all about the experience. And ours was a bad one ;(waiter was 12 years old. He asked if it was the first time and we said yes and yet he stared at us while we looked at the menu. He said pick one from these 3 sections… then just stared. No direction no leads nothing. Then the cheese melting step. He added beer he added this and he added that. Cheese did not melt. He went and got more cheese. Still no melting cheese. Then he said lets start from scratch. 2nd time cheese kind of melted but still kind of clumpy. And tasted horrible. My son got an instant stomache ache. My others on who will eat anything asked if we had to keep eating. I spoke w the manager and he tried his best to convince us to stay but we were already past the point of no return. We left w a business card promising 3 free desserts. Maybe we’ll try again for desert only. lol

I have always loved the Melting Pot, but more often than not, this place has let me down. I had given up on this place and gave them one more try. On a Monday night, our friends had called and were told it wasn’t necessary to make a reservation since it is slow. We arrive and 6:30PM(again, on a Monday) and were told that they couldn’t take us in until 8:50PM. Mind you, the place was pretty empty. After speaking to the manager, it was verified that a mere four individuals could not be accommodated until 8:50PM. Why… because they didn’t have enough servers. So, they would rather four people walk out than serve us. Honestly, I felt as if they didn’t care. This truly is the last time we try to eat here. Way too much work to over spend our hard earned money at a place that really doesn’t care about it’s customers. Update: After I posted my review, the owner posted a comment, encouraging me to call her. Since she was kind enough to care about the review, I went ahead and called her. As a result, I thought it would be fair to update my review. I thought the conversation was extremely positive and felt that she honestly cared. I explained everything that had occurred to me(both past and this incident) and felt that we had a very good conversation. I do believe that she had concern of what we experienced. Thank you.

A south florida staple with a setting that is next to perfect. Yes this spot is amazing for couples on a date — but groups and families can enjoy big time as well. We had a great time with my parents last and would go back in a heart beat. The last time there too a little more than 4 hours — I kid not — but it was fun and would do it again ! Fondue it up!
