Djinji and Krista have created a truly special place in SolBox. The physical space is beautiful, the music is always on point, the community is welcoming and the vibe is fun. Prices will rival most any other gym, but at no other place will you get the personalized attention you get here. I love this place!

I was looking for a boxing gum that was authentic and not so glamorous, but a place I could really learn the technique and art of boxing. Solbox is just that. The people are super down to earth, it’s right in the heart of the city. Everyone training is willing to give you tips and guidance so you can grow and develop Coach and owner Dginji Brown does an excellent job making you feel comfortable and really teaching you the fundamentals at your pace. At Solbox everything is about doing it the right way and that’s what I live about it! Even my wife wants to join!

I have been to MANY boxing gyms in Miami over the years and I am SO happy that I have found this place ! As a woman who loves to box(really box) this is the place to be. The owners are full of love and life and the boxing classes are REAL boxing classes. The members are genuine and there to work out and box. I highly recommend this gym if you are lover boxing and looking for a great place to work out. Major plus … The boxing instructor is also a DJ … So the music during class is always amazing :)

A-MA-ZING boxing gym! small personalized classes, true technical boxing(you really learn, there’s no classes with 20+people all hitting the bag while someone yells at them here). Super affordable, urban style full of street art and graffiti, fantastic music — from Miles davis to the Roots to Gangstarr and the trainers — Djinji and Krista are the 2 nicest, coolest and warmest people I’ve met in Miami. So much more than a gym, they’ve created a family here. i wouldn’t do boxing anywhere else :)

Best gym in Miami. Excellent staff and best music. Most gyms have great classes and equipment but their selection in music is usually a deal breaker. SolBox has by far the best music playlist and workout equipment. I love this gym!

I’m very thankful that a friend recommended this place to me. I’m getting a great workout and learning something technical at the same time. I’d previously been working out by myself and was really bored and unmotivated. The trainers here are very knowledgeable and absolutely great people. I like the atmosphere and I’m having a great time. I could not recommend this place enough.

This review is based on a visit to this gym, not an actual membership. SoulTrain is one of the coolest gyms I have ever seen. It just so happened I was comparing different boxing/Martial Arts gyms in the area and walked in on a whim, having seen the sign while driving up N Miami Avenue. The gym owner was on hand to walk me around the facility. The first thing that struck me was the fact Bobby Womack was playing on the sound system, a change of pace compared to the typical Electronic music one usually hears while training at gyms. It was really nice. The other thing you notice is the size of the gym, it’s small. It’s not small in a bad way, it feels very intimate. There’s a boxing ring in the center and boxing equipment everywhere. So long as your focus is boxing or fitness you will not go wanting. If you want to do weight-training this is not the place for you, there is only one bench and one squat rack. The place is super clean and the equipment is very well taken care of, something I personally find to be important. I mentioned the owner, cool guy. He is very passionate about the gym and the space is a true reflection of him. He mentioned he is usually on hand and will provide advice and guidance to those of us who like to train alone, not in a class. This is pretty nice, usually one has to pay for trainer time to get some guidance. He also provides information and prescribed workouts on a whiteboard at the front of the gym. Beginners, where I was not too long ago, would certainly feel at home. Pricing is competitive, a little bit higher than some of the surrounding gyms but one may find the personal touches worth a few extra dollars a month. Gym hours do not favor those who train in the mornings, the gym opens at 9 am. If you are an evening workout person then you should have no issues. Classes are structured in a unique fashion and worth looking into. Finally, I know some of you are going to look at the address and freak out a bit, don’t. Parking is secure, as is the gym. The entrance is right off of N. Miami Ave and the street leading in is just fine. I wish SoulTrain and its owner lots of luck. He seems to have a unique product that I think may appeal to lots of people who would like to explore boxing as a means to get fit. It is most definitely worth your time to stop in and looking around.
