Salvation Army

no two Salvation Armies are the same.
after class yesterday, i headed over to this location about 2 miles from MDC-​North right across from the 79^th Street Flea Market. Both the location and the building were beyond grime-​y but it was «Family Day» Wednesday where clothes, shoes, and cups would be 50% off. I went inside not expecting to find much of anything but hoped I could at least score some Chuck Taylors i didn’t already own.
The place was crowded as i expected but i had enough room to go through the aisles and take my time looking. I’m so glad i decided to stay longer. To say this place was disorganized is an understatement. But if you’re never in a rush when it comes to shopping, like me, you’ll discover losts of gems when you take your time. A very friendly employee saw my arm getting heavy from the nice things i found and offered me a basket. After almost an hour my buggy was full. I finally made my way to the end of the checkout line where the cashiers asked shoppers to please remove the hangers from the clothing items and place them in the bins on the floor. My total amount spent was less than $ 20 – a real bargin. Found my regular wednesday spot :)
